I am 5ft 3inches and about 123pounds. Am I overweight? I am quite roundish and I really hate it D': I don't swim anymore (Loved to swim) or really wear shorts because of this. I just feel so chubby DX Does anyone have any simple exercise/eating tips that can help me slim down and just over all feel better about myself?

Oh hunny, you're not that bad. I'm 5'2" and weigh an average of 125lbs (I say average because it varies from day to day depending on my diet) So really, we're about the same.
A simple exercise that works for me is to get down on all fours, and slowly lift one leg in the air and hold it there for about 10 seconds. Slowly let it back down, and do the same with the other leg. Do this in 3 repetitions. It's a fantabulous workout for your butt, and lower back. Trust me, you'll feel it after the first time you do it.
If you're worried about your abdomen, there's a good workout for that too. Try laying down on your back, lifting both legs in the air and placing both hands under your butt for support. Now start rotating your legs as if you were on a bicycle. While keeping the motion, slowly bring your legs closer to the ground. You should feel some pulling in your abdomen, this is good. Keep this up as long as you can (ideally for 2-3 minutes). Then bring your legs to rest for about a minute, and repeat the process two more times.
And of course, eat healthy (lots of vegetables-no dressing and water, lean meats, and a little bit of dairy), and try to go jogging or power-walking for at least 30 minutes every day.
Doing all this got me to loose 50lbs in a short time frame (roughly 3 months, no lie). I used to weigh over 175!!

You're nowhere near overweight, don't worry. :3 You probably don't need to do too much exercise, maybe you could just do some jogging a few days a week. ^^

GOD no.
I'm 5'3" also, and I've been overweight before... I'm about 122 now, and I can tell you... you're FAR from overweight. xD
For 5'3" the healthy weight range is between 105-140lbs, no matter what kind of build you have.
For exercise - do what you want! Right now you just need to focus on maintaining your weight and just stay / get into shape. :]

Your not overwieght, but if you feel that you are chubby you can do sit ups (great for ab works) maybe just tone up, I'm loosing weight, im a bit chubby so i am toning my body, like thighs, butt, and tummy, remember to eat healthy and it does take its time don't expect changes to happen over night, it takes hard work and eating healthy, none of them stupid body trim, rapid loss or whatever their called they advertise on TV, its just bogus

I'm 5'9'" and my weight range is 130-165lbs. :/ I know there may be an overlap but that just seems like a very high weight range for someone who is 5'3". Because at 5'9" 150 looks a little chubby and I have a long a** torso.
I really don't mean to shoot you down, I promise. I just think those numbers sound very high.

I really don't mean to shoot you down, I promise. I just think those numbers sound very high.I am also 5'3" and have heard the weight range that she listed to be correct for someone of my height. There seems to be a lot of overlap with this specific chart, I guess... To the OP, as I said, I am 5'3", and I've been told that 123-124 would be the ideal weight for someone like me. I think you may just want to consider toning up and keeping fit instead of focusing on losing weight. You may end up losing a little as you tone up, but I think you're good where you are!
