So I just beat pokemon black. This is probably my favorite pokemon game so far.
It's really annoying though that there aren't any good special attackers you can grab before the elite four, and all the TM's you get are mostly physical attacks. And there aren't very many good water pokemon at all. At least Jellicent is really good.

It's nice that there's only one fishing rod, but that means it's almost impossible to get water Pokemon. I started with Tepig, and I feel like if I hadn't caught a Tympole early on in the game, I wouldn't have had a water Pokemon in my team at all.
But yeah I just finished the main storyline last night; this is probably the most original game they've ever done.

Yup, huge improvements over Diamond/Pearl. Actually feels like playing a brand new Pokemon game! I mean obviously there's still a lot the same, but the whole new pokemon thing made it feel like I was playing Red/Blue all over again for the first time.
Anyway just doing post-game stuff now and working out a decent team.

It's much better than any of the other games, in my opinion. And Moose, Chandelure.. has the highest Satk of any non-legendary. I didn't know this in my playthrough.
I'm currently working on a team right now. Post-game.
Also, I lovelovelove the fact that you can re-use TMs.
So much.

My team has 4 permanent fixtures: Flareon, Glaceon, Leafeon, and Jolteon.
The other 2 are always shifting around. Right now, it's Terrakion and Honchkrow.

also love this game, i find special attack to be lacking as well but Eelektross has decent special attack.
also, its fine that there are no water pokemon, because up until the elite four, i've not had one occasion of needing to surf. this is my first ever team where i've not had a water type.
i just got to the elite four today, but i'm doing battle subway fo' fun.
my team:
Emboar
Eelektross
Krookodile
Ferrothorn
Scolipede
Archeops
all of them are totally ******** awesome, i'm telling you.

I quite like it, the only thing that is bothersome is some of the new names are just awful. Awful.

Step 1: Find a Pokemon in your party that can use Low Sweep or Double Kick or any kicking attack with that animation.
Step 2: Find a Kangaskhan.
Step 3: Use said kicking move on it.
Step 4: ???
Step 5: PROFIT!! Kick the baby! Kick the baby!

Yeah, I had spring break this week. I probably should have taken the time to get ahead in my work, but ******** THAT- POKEMON. I took my time on this game, and I've played for around 20 hours.
