T'is been awhile since I last did editing, so my skills may be rusty. However, doing the back-sprites for trainers is a new challenge for me and I'm enjoying it so far.

So, here's what I have so far.

My main Trainer/OC--Jake



My friend's Trainer/OC--Mel



And the Protagonist of my planned Pokémon fanfiction, during his Kanto/Johto years--Evo



Now, when it comes to Evo, I will say he was easily the laziest of my spriting skills. XD Jake comes in a close second, because I merely edited his prior look to make him look older(it wasn't as hard as my initial sprite of him, is what I mean). I could have probably done a second eye, on Jake, but having used that hair on him for the past 4 years has made it grow on me.

Mel, on the other hand was just a challenge because my friend's way of designing characters involves detail. XD I tried my best to match the reference without oversimplifying. I'm currently working on a back-sprite for her now.

The girl isn't mine. xD But thank you.

This was how Jake looked 4 years ago, when I first made his sprite. Even now, he has influence from Emerald Version's look for Brendan(and obviously from that Bug E4 guy from Sinnoh), but this one has the most. And actually, in this design, that head/band Belt thing he has becomes an armband in his current design. XD As a character, when he was 10, he wore it as a headband. At 15 he wore it as a belt. At 17-18, he just had a hoodie and never really had a reference o the headband. Now, at 19, he's got it back.

His headband's pretty much the equivalent of Ash's hat now. If he's really serious about a battle, he'll tie it around his head.
