Hiya guys! Welcome to Syn's plot thread - couple of people asked me what on earth my signature was about so I figured I'd let you in on it. If you're interested, you're more than welcome to join in! <3

EVERYONE is welcome, the more the merrier! =D  SYNTYCHE IS A SOLO HUNTER, SHE DOES NOT OPERATE IN A TEAM OR PACK. SHE HAS NO INTEREST IN ALLIES AT ALL SO PLEASE DO NOT OFFER YOUR SOQUILI UP AS SUPPORT OR AN ALLY!
She is destined to be killed off, this plot is solely to demonstrate how brutal and bestial skinwalker are. They do not work in packs and they do not have allies in any respect. Given her zeal and determination to serve her maker she won't corrupt another either - truth be told, the only true way to let her corrupt your soquili is to let her kill them. You have been warned.

 [MEET THE ANTAGONIST]Ladies and gentlemen!
Might I introduce you to Syntyche - this is the leading antagonist behind this story arc. She's backed up by a number of very impressive characters both assisting and opposing her as she strives to annihilate every living creature. This all seems very extravagant of course, I can recognise this, but to help you gain an insight into Syntyche's character I'm here to give you a rough introduction to who and what she is.

Creation, Existence and Purpose:
Syntche sprang from the cursed tree within the most corrupt of graveyards. This tree, said to be the very mouth of hell, had birthed many a skinwalker before she came into existence and as a consequence the land was left barren, deserted and regarded with absolute fear. The only creatures that were deemed courageous and powerful enough to set hoof in the land were the mighty Angeni that were sent from the heavens to save it.
Her existence was quite simple - she had been charged with the same duty that all Skinwalker had been given and yet so many had failed at achieving. Her Divinity, in all his wisdom wished to unmake the world, to destroy the corrupted beings that now graced the soils of his failed creation. His lessons were simple, it was only with the complete destruction of the world that he could remake it in his image and ensure that everything could be 'perfect' once more.
It was with this in mind that the skinwalker pursued her targets, without remorse, guilt or even hunger. She rarely ate, her faith sustaining her as she preserved the corpses of the fallen as offerings to the Maker. She would perform a ceremony with each death, ensuring that the fallen creatures body and soul were ready for the embrace of Divinity. This done, she would leave the body to the elements and as an example to all those who opposed her deity's rule.
Mercy is a weakness.
Death is the way to salvation.
The very essence of her being is driven by this sole purpose - she will stop at nothing to achieve it and the only way to end her reign is to destroy her.

 Syntyche isn't always guaranteed to have success. From the moment she sets paw on the Kawani soil her goals are clear, she fully intends to kill those within her immediate radius and will stop at nothing to achieve this. However, there are occasions when she is liable to underestimate her opponent or her initial attack simply doesn't go to plan.
Below are the individuals who are subjected to her assault and live to tell the tale, all for very different reasons. They will act as both witnesses and adversaries as the years go by, some inclined to seek a quieter life, while others will stop at nothing to seek revenge for what happened to them.
Victims will occur throughout her reign of terror so can jump in and out of the plots as and when their owners feel it suits their own plots.

Interested in Taking Part? I'm still recruiting anyone who would be interested in playing a victim to Syntyche. This doesn't limit you from taking part in other plots later on down the line if you feel that this would fit the development of your soquili.
Please note that I DO NOT use a dice rolling system (I hate them). Instead I prefer to discuss the resulting injuries, or lack thereof and agree between parties. Not only does this method make RP flow better but it also makes more logical sense and isn't based on luck!
These encounters can be near misses or genuine maulings depending on what you need.

 Sometimes people aren't comfortable with their soquili getting attacked but still want to be part of the drama. In order to help the Sherlock Holmes/Watson duo and Nikandros/Eudoxia track down Syntyche, they're going to need witnesses. Witnesses can come in many forms whether they actually see a murder, a sacrificial ritual or simply stumble on one of the bodies.
What you want your soquili to see is entirely up to you, so long as I confirm it fits in with Syn's habits then you're welcome to use it!
Witnesses can occur throughout Syn's reign, she has no intention of ceasing in her activities so you'll have plenty of time to catch her up to no good, or at the very least, see one of her rather morbid creations.

I can reassure anyone who is squemish that the most they'll see is the sacrificial corpse (and even then, the descriptions will be limited) - unless specified, no witness will be subjected to watching an actual death.

OVERALL PLOT GOAL
Goal of plot is to assassinate Syntyche and remove her as a threat from the Kawani lands. Plot is initiated by Angeni (currently unidentified) who implores the hybrid kalona and the Kirin to protect this land. When they refuse to co-operate, both soquili are imprisoned in a labyrinth and are forced to work together to escape. Upon escape, they are once again asked to fight on behalf of the Kawani Nation.
THE REQUIREMENTS:
See below.
THE RESULTS AND CONSEQUENCES:
Result #1
Nikandros and Eudoxia develop further and learn to operate as a team.
Upon the second request for assistance they elect to assist the Angeni.
Result #2
The hunt begins for the skinwalker - Eud/Nik proceed to track down all individuals who were victims or bore witness to the skinwalker's crimes so that they can catch her trail.
Result #3
They locate the skinwalker, confront her and fight her in a tag team battle. This initially appears to be a 'loss' to them until the angeni reappears to bless both parties. With the holy blessing the tag team are able to 'silence' the Skinwalker. This is regarded as a success and the skinwalker is 'slain'.
Result #4
The Angeni makes a critical error (as to Eud/Nik) in not confirming that the Skinwalker is in fact dead. The reality is that Syn is severely injured and will live to see another day however until she regains her strength the world is 'safe'.
Result #5
Copycat killer emerges.Interested in Taking Part? I'm open to people getting in on this plot. This is a very specific one so you would have to work closely with both Uta and myself to make sure that it flows properly.
I am open to offers for the position of the Angeni (or pair of Angeni) that act as the catalyst for both Nikandros and Eudoxia to unite against Syntyche. However, please note that there is no way for your Angeni NOT to make the critical error of thinking Syntyche is dead.
If you choose to take part in this plot you must realise that your Angeni can and WILL make this mistake. There is no turning back from it - I appreciate that some won't want this to happen to their Angeni but I'm opening up the invitation anyway.
The Plot Is Good For...
- Elder Plots, what better way to show leadership and development?
- An excuse to let your Angeni use their abilities.
- Very young angeni who may not necessarily be wise to the world and could use the experience.
I'm also looking for witnesses/victims who would be comfortable with being saved by the pair or simply interviewed based on their past experiences with the Skinwalker.

PLOT BASICS
Solemn, a now fallen soquili returns to the land as a Skinwalker. Acutely aware of the hostilities towards his race, set in place for good reason, he strives to break the mould and encourage others to change their views. His intentions? Well, these intentions are very simple - he elects to pretend that he is reformed and no more harmless than a passing lamb. However, for such a scheme to work he needs a willing decoy and this he finds in Equinox.
Desperate to hide from her family following a horrible accident, the mare has led a life of isolation. However, each day passing whispers bring scouts closer to her door and with her options running out she needs an extreme solution to ensure they stay well away from her. She doesn't have to look for long, for it's a pact with the devil that she finds her answers. Solemn will hide her on the condition that she pretends to be his mate - she quickly agrees.
Not everything goes smoothly for the pair.
No sooner has Equinox fallen into the habit of being a decoy than she finds herself in the presence of a half Angeni determined to be her friend. Despite her attempts to dissuade him he will not be budged and an unlikely bond begins to emerge.
At the other end of the tale, a spate of murders draws suspicion close to the Skinwalker's door and he places an ultimatum upon Equinox's table - she must have his children, or they both risk their cover being blown.
Alas it's in a moment of strength that Equinox refuses and Solemn storms off in a rage, though there were assurances he would be back to try again later. Surprisingly, he does return but refrains from bringing the topic up again, though the reasons are unknown to both Skinwalker and mare for the time being.
Many months later the reasons become apparent, Solemn disappears one evening and returns at dawn with a set of children. Almost identical to him, it's clear they are his though Equinox can only dread to think who the unfortunate mother was. Nevertheless he makes her duty perfectly clear, she must raise them as her own or else. In capable of abandonning innocent children to the whims of a potentially vicious creature she has no choice other than to agree...
What comes next, is a tale for another time.

Offspring to act as a decoy for Solemn who is attempting to persuade public he is 'reformed'.
Offspring to be raised by Equinox and Malis
Offspring are NOT evil but may have darker elements.

KEY POINTS OF PLOTS:
Plot takes place immediately after "assassin" and during "Cuckoo Nest".
Plot consists of Poethas taking credit for the sacrificial murders.
Mimics killings but adds own twist, in short, not an exact replica of the killings.
Designed to encourage panic and uncertainty, what was thought silenced hasn't been.
RESULTS OF PLOTS:
Result #1
Poethas is confronted by Syn in a battle of wills and brawns. In this case the religious feline wins out in the battle and Poethas is forced to retreat to recup and consider a different way of approaching the situation.
Result #2
Potential for Poethas to return following climatic events in "Exalted March" to sow fear and uncertainty into the innocent once more.Interested in Taking Part? I'm recruiting witnesses and victims for Poethas's plot here. In this case, you would need to discuss the outcomes of each encounter with Lolli McHotpants who owns Poethas.
Please note his murders and copycat style attacks will all have differences, they'll be very closely related to Syntyche's but since he never had the opportunity to witness them first hand he won't get them completely accurate.

 A rarity for Syn, she hears the call from her deity that she must produce an heir before the greatest challenge of her life.

Yup, this is a breeding plot (or multiple breeding plots) depending on what is agreed on. To make a very long story short, Syntyche will need a purewalker heir to carry on her legacy. I'll be looking for a suitable candidate (or candidates) depending on interest so that I can produce at least one heir that's interested in continuing her legacy.
However, if the owners of the other purewalker parent and/or offspring wish to get involved in further plots then I'd be more than delighted!

 Undecided plot period.
Following productions of heirs she'll lie low while educating each of her offspring on how to hunt/feed and also give them a 'religious educaiton'. However, during this period she will also require victims/witnesses and targets to actively encourage her offspring to pursue.
Basically - a gap in Syn's plots to help out with others if people need an antagonist.Interested in Taking Part? Basically - this is where you get to tell me what you would like to see. If you want Syntyche (and possibly her cubs) to feature in your plots/RPs somehow then feel free to post and offer me up suggestions!
Please note that I'm also open to requests prior to her heir plots and even cuckoo nest plots. She doesn't discriminate in the slightest so if you want a killer on your tail in some form then she's the one for you!
I'd like to point out that any attack based RPs will not be decided by dice roll, I'll discuss the outcome you want for your soquili before injuring them and vice versa. These RPs flow far better this way instead of relying on luck which may bring about unrealistic results.

PLOT SUMMARY
Syntyche has gone unchecked for far too long - the number of casualties at her claws is rising and numerous attempts to remove her have proved futile. With various members of his family recalling brutal encounters with the Skinwalker, one soquili steps forward to bring this Skinwalker's reign to an end.
Summoned by his Divinity, Tempest steps forward to confront and ultimately dispose of this Skinwalker in a final confrontation that will pit deity against deity and faith against faith.
Casualties are guaranteed.
Fatalities assured.
PLOT RESULTS:
Syntyche will die.
'Peace' will initially come to the land now that the Skinwalker has been silenced.
Tempest gains recognition and respect from his family in relation to his absolute faith. They may not understand his religion or his calling, but it proved remarkably powerful when it came down to the wire.
Tempest's future uncertain? Injuries sustained are massive and life threatening - will require assistance.Interested in Taking Part? While most of the fighting for this part will be done by Tempest, I'm more than happy to have other people get involved if they're interested! That in mind I'd be interested in the following sorts of soquili getting involved:
Healers, Warriors, Victims or those who are interested in pursuing Tempest's religious teachings.
I have NO interest in minions or additional support for Syntyche, that is not the purpose of this plot and she does not and never will work alongside others (the only exception to this is during the period where she raises her offspring).

PLOT SUMMARY
The peace in the Kawani does not last for long as more sacrificial victims begin to appear. Soquili begin to question whether or not Tempest was truly successful in his destruction of the terror - it's only when a number of soquili seek out the body of the fallen skinwalker that they realise that he was successful.
The startling revelation?
There's more than one.
PLOT RESULTS
Result #1
Skinwalkers rear their ugly head once more, Poethas as the Copycat killer (potentially) and the heir or heirs as the genuine mirror image of its mother's religious fervour.
Result #2
Once fully recovered, Tempest will found a religious order dedicated to the pursuit and destruction of Skinwalker. Now graced with a true purpose from Divinity, he will find his calling in the complete annihilation of this corrupt race while continuing to spread the word of his deity.Interested in Taking Part? I'll be recruiting a lot of repeat roles for this plot but for the most part this will be a fairly generic set of plots until I come up with a new plot arc.

XXX Personal Note - RE: Holy Pact 1. Syn attacks Maisie
2. Raiden saves Maisie
3. Raiden drives Syn off, Syn sustains injuries.
4. Maisie begins to miscarry.
5. Cyn Generis arrives by 'coincidence' and sees the casualties.
6. Cyn struggles to decide whether they should or should not be saved.
7. Cyn then makes a bargain with the spirits, allow him to disrupt the flow of time to save the children and in return, they will serve the spirits in maintaining balance.
8. Cyn intervenes, creating a small sphere around Maisie's stomach to reverse time and ultimately sustain the children.
9. Eventually the children are born and live a normal life.
10. Approaching adolescence they are attacked by Syn's heir(s)
11. Saved by Tempest and Cyn who are on the hunt to wipe these felines out.
12. Tempest leaves in hot pursuit of the cats. Cyn remains.
13. Cyn advises the children that they need to be trained to fight before they can fulfil their bargain and sends them to Sylph.
14. Sylph forcas conditions and trains these soquili to kill. He then sends them to accompany Tempest who will educate them in how to hunt Skinwalker.
15. Fully trained, these offspring can hunt freely and on their own.
Additional Notes: Raiden needs to meet Yei to reassure him that releasing his children for training is the right thing to do in the long term. Personal Note - Ryn's Plots Variable responses based on the time everything occurs...
1. If it occurs before the Exalted March plots then it will be with Syn and her young cubs as she educates them. If it's during then Syn and the cubs will operate as separate entities.
2. Cubs can be persuaded to work with Sol BRIEFLY due to their naivity in their youth.
3. Tempest will briefly feature regardless of before or during.
4. Sylph will feature after scouts report the attacks and the Vitter's response. Given the viciousness of the Vitterfolk defence he'll give his respects and provide them with assistance.
5. Shizukii, Resynn, Debut and Cinnamon (all military trained) will come down to assist as allies within the Summit.
6. Shizukii will also help based on her friendship with Ryn.
7. Syn/Sol bablette will assist against Solemn in the fighting based on the firm love and appreciation of family as raised by Malis and Nox

I'd like to volunteer one of my Soquili X3
I was wondering if it'd be okay if some time in the past, Syntyche could have killed Sakura's father? She's a young mare, so it would be fairly recent.
It would give her a reason to get involved in the plot. She would be out seeking the cause of her father's disappearance. I was wondering if it could start out as her witnessing Syntyche killing another Soq, putting two and two together, and ending up confronting Syntyche (in the same RP). Then Syntyche could attack her, but Sakura somehow survives due to fluke? ((Just a random suggestion, perhaps there was a storm and it caused a tree to fall, almost landing on the two and causing them to separate?)).
After that, I'd like Sakura to be involved in the Exalted March plot. Working on their side would be her way of settling the past, and getting her revenge for her father, even if she did not deal the death blow herself. In fact, I'd like her to be a healer. She has experience with both uni magic and with herbs, so it would work well.
EDIT: She would not join the Holy Order, but may stick around just long enough to help heal those who are injured in the battle against Poethas.

The only thing I would have to say is that a storm and a fallen tree would not stop Syntyche from pursuing Sakura - since she has the ability to change forms she has a lot more agility and can either leap over (and through the trees canopy if necessary), there simply wouldn't be enough time for Sakura to get away safely. Generally whenever I let people act as direct victims to Syn I encourage them to be in the company of someone else since Syn can't really take on two soquili at once unless they're both weak.
However in a logical sense, her acting as a witness to one of Syn's ceremonies is perfectly acceptable. If Syn is disturbed (which she will be) she is liable to attack and chase Sakura as a result. So long as Sakura ran out into the open (such as the plains), Syn would ultimately stop following - key ways to beat Syn are to make a LOT of noise and get out into the open where other soquili can see you. She could hurt you while you're in public but she won't as too many witnesses would cause her problems. If you wanted Sakura to sustain wounds to her flank either from Syn directly (as she's pouncing) or simply from sharp low lying branches that would be absolutely fine. =)
The only thing I would be a touch concerned about is Syn being a cause of Sakura's father's death. So long as you're absolutely comfortable with the knowledge of what Syn does to her victims then I would be more than happy for you to use Syn as the culprit behind his untimely death. Unfortunately Syn leaves her victims in a considerable state, often ritually mutilated so it's a step up in brutality from the likes of a wolf pack hunting him down - as I said, so long as you would be absolutely okay with that sort of thing then I'm happy enough for her to act as his murderer... I just like to forewarn folks that she's really not all that pleasant about it. xD;
Exalted March wise - she'd be welcome to tag along provided she doesn't get in the way. The final battle against Syntyche is a solo encounter between the protagonist (Tempest) and her but if Sakura was there she would ultimately be able to cure the more critical wounds Tempest sustains during the fight. Unfortunately as a half-breed she won't be powerful enough to help him completely but she'll keep him from the brink of death which is vital. If she buys him enough time, then that means he can stumble home to the herd doctors. *Nods*

Phew, I type a LOT (sorry)!
In relation to the Holy Order that will be a continual plot so it won't just be a 'single' battle. I don't mind if you have no interest in that as it'll be more of an offshot that comes after all the other things are done and Tempest has time to reflect on what's happened. *Grins* If I make it a more official thing then it'll get it's own miniplot thread to that affect!

Ah ok, the storm was just a suggestion off the top of my head xD But the running away into the open while screaming would probably work. And yes, a wound as a result of Syn's pouncing would be fine xD
As for her dad's death, I'm perfectly comfortable with that! That's why I asked xP
And yup, I'm fine with her acting as a temporary healer to save him until he is in more capable hooves. xD
