PHOTOS said to expose the new identity of James Bulger's killer Jon Venables are being spread on the internet.

The recent snaps - which purportedly show the 28-year-old as an adult - have been viewed by more than one million people in the last few days alone.

Also being passed round online are alleged personal details, including information specifically banned to protect Venables' secret ID - granted following his 2001 release from jail on licence.They were published last week by an online campaigner, despite a life-long court ban on such material appearing.

They have since spread to other internet sites and been seen worldwide.

One site, run by an organisation The Sun cannot even name due to a gagging order protecting Venables' ID, also details his background and crimes.

The killer's apparent "outing" comes weeks before he becomes eligible for parole after being hauled BACK into jail for sickening child porn offences.

Relatives of James, tortured to death at two after being lured from a Merseyside mall by Venables and sidekick Robert Thompson in 1993, last night welcomed the apparent unmasking.

Dad Ralph, 44, said: "I've always said the public should know what Venables and Thompson look like. The ban on identity is ungovernable and ridiculous as millions have seen the photos and have access to the net."

The Sun has seen several clear pictures which are said to show Venables as an adult before his re-arrest last year.

The founder of the site which first printed the photos last night said he posted the material to protect the public from the convicted ****** and killer when he is released. The activist, who again The Sun cannot name, said: "The picture has now been seen by millions.

"I don't believe Jon Venables or any convicted sex offender has the right to anonymity or a protected identity. It is the public that needs protection."

Venables and Thompson were just ten when they attacked James. Despite warnings they could never be rehabilitated, they were freed from jail and given new identities and lives.

A controversial court order banned their identification for life, despite outrage that families may be put at risk. Venables was caged for two more years in February last year for possessing child porn, including images of kids aged just two.

I have also found out that now he has been exposed they are giving him yet another new identity.
What is the point? Why should he get all this?

I just think the whole "justice" system over here is so screwed up.
I think that the fact Venables was found again with possessing child porn shows that he had no way changed (not that i thought he ever would in the first place).
Don't get me wrong, i do believe some criminals can reform. I'm not saying it's not possible.
But what they did, was absolutely disgusting. I don't think there's a word that could quite describe the horror of it. The fact they were so young shows that there is obviously something very, very wrong with the both of them quite frankly.

Heh. I think we have every right to know what they look like. He should have never been given this much protection - the tax payers are ultimately paying to protect a total...there's not a word for it really. It just makes me angry.

Definitely! I saw a picture of him in pizza hut and it turned my stomach knowing that he was serving some families kids.
It shouldn't be allowed at all!

I swear! If my grandad was still alive he would be absolutely raging.

Exactly! That's the real thing that pisses me off about the "justice" system here; oh, so this person killed someone, therefore taking away their right to live, but they can't be punished because they have human rights! What a ******** up system.

They aren't humans if you ask me; no human has the capability to do what they did. As i said before, there is something very seriously wrong with them both, although i would say Venables more so (if i remember rightly he led most of what happened). Yes, maybe give them a new name if they're letting them out, but the least the public deserve is to be aware of what he looks like.

It just astounds me how children of that age even knew how or could do such...evil things. That is what they are though, evil.

It's like that whole thing about reducing sentences for those that had done the worse crimes (y'know, like murder and rape) because the prisons were getting too full. They were the ones who got rid of half of them for goodness sake!

I believe they were both born evil and I still get pissed off that Robert Thompson isn't in prison either. They both should be locked up and rot in prison. No TV, nothing. They don't deserve to watch television, etc.

The picture is creepy because someone took his mouth and eyes from when he was a kid and showed how similar everything looked now that he is an adult. Every feature matched up. I am certain it was him and also the newspapers said that his identity was leaked so the picture must be 100% true.

I think I remember reading the article on The Sun website about them letting rapists and murderers out of prison because the prisons were full. Are they having a laugh? Now more people will die because of these idiots that are letting dangerous prisoners out. I hope they are proud of themselves.
