Here are some theories as to why:
•It's pretty easy to tell that some cartoon animals were drawn to be attractive. It's obvious the animators wanted Lola Bunny from the movie "Space Jam" to be attractive. It's also obvious that the developers at Rare wanted Krystal from the Star Fox games to be attractive. In fact, the character is so popular that it spawned the popular internet phrase: "Dude, it's okay - everyone's furry for Krystal." Most attractive furries were designed to be attractive. •Some kids grow up having crushes on cartoon characters, and not all of those characters are human. Sometimes they're animals; to a child, there may be no real difference between human and animal cartoon characters. If it can walk and talk, then to a kid, it's pretty much human. As the child matures and reaches puberty, it's possible that the attraction one feels towards cartoon characters, animal or otherwise, will not diminish, but rather, intensify. That same attraction can naturally mature from "puppy love" to an honest sexual curiosity and attraction. It's pretty natural when you think about it.
•Furries are, by definition, animals with human like qualities. I can't believe how many people tend to overlook this fact, but it's usually the human attributes that people find attractive in a furry. Whether it's the eyes, or the figure, or the breasts/legs, whatever - it's generally the human anatomy that people are attracted to. It may also be the cuteness factor, if you find cute things/people to be attractive.
But of course, we can't rule out.... •...good old fashioned zoophilia.

Shilberu Erikku But of course, we can't rule out....•...good old fashioned zoophilia.
9/10 times it's this.
Of course I think some furry avies are cute, especially in Second Life, but in a "Aww look, it's a kitty!" kind of way not a, "OMFG, it's a cat boy!! *fap fap fap fap fap*" which is what most of the furies I come across see. That's where the yiff term comes from, which I didn't know what it was until recently and I'd rather not go into detail at all other than saying DO NOT GOOGLE IT.
IMO it comes down to good ol fashioned bestiality. Yes Mr. Goat, they're eying you with that lustful, almost hungry, gaze.

That you should have dear friend for now you can not unsee the nightmare of the yiff. D:
lol, thanks! I just got tired of people being like "Blah blah blah, you can't say that it'll hurt their feelings, blah blah blah" whenever I was upfront with someone when giving advice. So, for anyone who has complaints with what I post, they can contact Mr. Voorhees and Mr. Myers in my customer service department. biggrin

I think furry sex is more about taking on the characteristics of that particular animal rolleyes not that they actually want to ******** a goat... just my opinion though. I've only formally met one furry, and I'd rather not base my opinion off of him...

Shilberu Erikku Pent and Ten No offence, but I HATE when people post things like this. No one is ever right, and it usually end up being either two people arguing the two sides, or two people increasing the size of their egos by agreeing on the same opinion. Either way, it isn't pretty, spams the forum, and gets nothing accomplished. Well it's the same thing with every thread, so chill. Did this come off as hostile or something?
