i had an incident the other day where water sprayed across the kitchen. my ipod with connected to its speakers and on when it happened. im not sure if the speakers work anymore or not becasue they stopped making noise when it happened but didnt turn off. the ipod was fine at the time and still worked fine and didnt seem to be wet much at all, just a couple drops across the screen.
well today it wont turn on at all and i dont know what to do. can anybody help me? i dont want to have to get a new one D:
is there some place i can take it in to get fixed? like radioshack or best buy?

Don't try to turn it on. That just makes it worse- water and electronics don't mix, and trying to turn it on can make it short circuit.
Take out the battery and put the Ipod in a bowl of uncooked rice. Leave it there for a week or longer. The rice draws out the moisture. Then try putting the battery back in and turning it on. This is what you do whenever /any/ electronic gets wet, so in the future if you ever get an electronic device wet..that's what you do.

Here's a video about how to do it. Removing the battery is an extra precaution so that there's no chance whatsoever of it short circuiting while it's drying. You could keep it in if you want to, but to remove it is an extra precaution.

It won't hurt to let it dry out in the bowl of rice and try again in a couple of days. I've seen it happen where it seemingly won't turn on, then after a week of dessication it works perfectly fine. But if you've messed it up beyond that, you'd probably have to go to a store to see what you can do. I just know the very basics of what to do with water damage to electronics.
