For some reason I'd like to do a Christmas-ish 1x1.
I have one story and setting prepared.
And Winter Came …
Christmas has come to the Summerlands, the snow from high amongst the Kinslieve finally sweeping over the fields and forests. It is a festive time with feasting, caroling, and playing in the silver sea that has settled over the world. Many Dukes, Counts, and Vassals have opened their doors, welcoming all to join them in yuletide merriment. With all the festive glamour there has been a great mixing of folk from all across the Summerlands and beyond. A princess from the Farlands to the east has recently come across the winter straits looking to partake in one of the many Summerland feasts. Receiving many invitations, the princess chose to celebrate her winter at the Feast of Castle Whitewall. Hosted by the b*****d-prince, Ser Amus Whitewall, it was to be a truly remarkable feast. Decked with boughs of holly and ivy, and much adorned with mistletoe, the large castle sitting just below the steppes of the Kinslieve mountain range has promised to be a most inviting place. The feast is intended to last all winter with Ser Amus in attendance all throughout. Secretly, the purpose of the Feast is for the b*****d-prince to find himself a princess amongst his guests and get her to be his bride. Ser Amus hopes that marrying a true blooded princess will solidify his lordship and grant him full recognition as ruler over the land his father once owned. Ser Amus Whitewall has confided in only his most trusted servants and they have agreed to help him orchestrate events that would lead to their lord’s kingship. On the 11th night of Yule a great masked dance is being held in honor of the prince himself. A double has been found to organize the festivities while the true prince wanders the floor looking for his princess. The Farlands princess has once again chosen to attend Whitefall’s merriment, but will her fate become woven with that of the b*****d-prince? Only by the thread of the all-seeing, pagan goddess, Kalyca, will the full story be known. Thus, let our winter tale unfold …
