I've been back to working only 5hrs a week at the pet store for, close to 4 weeks already gonk I had come so close to paying off all debts, now I am barely managing not to go further into debt. FINALLY I get not one, but two call backs. I have an interview friday morning for a nearby vet clinic, and I'm just waiting for the SPCA to call back again, though I might try to get through again rather than have the poor girl playing phone tag with me.
I'm super nervous. I want/need this job. For one, many expenses may be much cheaper. For second, I really feel it necessary for my success at school, to get some hand on experience and, even just an extra 5hrs a week would give me enough money to pay all my monthly expenses and even have some left over. But chances are I'll get even more hours than that. As much as I want the SPCA though, traveling may be a bit tricky. It's like in the heart of downtown right in the worst of the traffic. Though I may be able to drive to the metro station and go from there. But the clinic I have an interview with is about 15mins from my house by car.

Thanks, the spca is already a no go sadly. They said it's sat&sun and I'm already working sun, I don't want to give up a great job so close to my house that pays well to drive all the way downtown and start a new job that doesn't pay as well.

Hi, you don't know me but I'm trying to be more active xD
Are you able to switch your shift at the pet store so you're not working Sunday? Or work a shift on Sunday at the pet store and then work another shift at the SPCA? You might be able to finagle something around. smile
Good luck at the vet clinic! If you don't mind me asking, what position are you applying for at either location?

Good luck! I hope you get one of those jobs. c: It sounds great. I wish I had the guts to become a vet. Sadly, I am a sucker for animals and blood.
And like Ailinea said, maybe you're able to switch?

Naw, they only need me Sunday at the pet store. I've already asked them about working other/more hours and so for nothing. The store is closed Monday and they take off Sunday so that's always been their days off. But I was still leaning towards the place I have an interview for Friday, because it's so much closer and I don't have to worry about traffic or parking. Only downside is it's down the street from my ex's house lol
