	Larry the Evil Announcer Previously on Fullmetal Alchemist... Crystal and Kuukyo accompanied the Elric Brothers on assignment in the famous city of Aquoroya in pursuit of the Phantom Thief Psiren. It took several false starts and even more failures for them to finally succeed at capturing her so she could be handed over to the local authorities. As a parting gift, Psiren, otherwise known as Clara the kindly nurse, nun and school teacher on separate occasions, told Edward that there was someone in Xenotime researching the Philosopher's Stone. And, unknown to our heroes, Psiren broke out of prison and immediately resumed her thieving activities as soon as they left town. Next stop, Xenotime! Crystal: This again? We just finally got rid of him again!

	Kuukyo: twitch twitch i have to agree, this is getting annoying. claps hands, and slams them into Larry's shadow, to flash-freeze him down to every last molecule Edward: he should learn to stick to Digimon... Centralized Break - Enter the World! Kuukyo was currently sleeping on the train heading to Xenotime, stretched out rather much like a lazy bum with his Orange/black hair lightly flaying in the makeshift breeze from the open window (Kuukyo basically looks like in clothes and all like my Gaia Avatar, makes it simple.) as he lightly snoozed. Edward was currently in his regular attire going through various things himself in his suitcase, grumbling something about 'dratted alchemists becoming criminals...' under his breath.

	Alphonse could tell that his brother was in one his grumpy moods about the whole Psiren case, but he had a feeling Edward would perk up once they got to Xenotime to find out more about the Philosopher's Stone that was being researched. After all, it was exactly the sort of information they had been looking for and it was finally practically within their grasp. All they had to do was get off the train at the next stop and ask around until they found the person doing the research so they could go talk to them. Hopefully Edward would be able to contain his enthusiasm well enough to be polite once they started asking. Hopefully. Crystal was leaning back in her seat on the train, staring out the windows on either side of the car watching the scenery go by. The tracks were surrounded by dense patches of lush green trees so the air coming through the open windows smelled fresh and clean. It definitely beat running around the streets of Aquoroya after Psiren. Then she spotted a town up ahead with a large mansion occupying the top of the mountain that towered in the background. "That must be it," she commented as the scene grew steadily larger as the train drew closer. They would be arriving soon.

	Edward looked up hearing Crystal commenting outside, and peered out from his own seat lightly, looking to the mansion and the like, getting into a bit of an enthusiastic grin "i hope i can finally find some leads here.. maybe the info i'm looking for if i'm lucky!" Kuukyo opened an eye lazilly, and looked out as well with a tired gaze, before closing his eye again "makes sense, hopefully we can find leads on Jake as well." Edward raised an eyebrow lightly and peered over to the lazy Kuukyo "so why are you sleeping then?" Kuukyo just shrugged to himself yawning "cause it's usually boring on the train rides. you know that."

	Crystal waved purposefully at the view outside the window. "How can you possibly get bored with all this scenery to look at? I've never seen anything like it." Alphonse had forgotten that Crystal hadn't been traveling around by train nearly as much as the rest of them, but he could certainly understand where she was coming from. The first time he and Edward had set out on the train to Central is had been exhilarating. At least until the train got hijacked by those terrorists and the two of them had gotten involved in helping the military personnel on board the train contain them. Of course, incidents like that didn't happen all the time. And really, Alphonse was glad about that. Maybe the train rides were a little less exciting when they went by smoothly, but it also meant less work and reckless self endangerment from his brother. It was nice to just be able to look out and enjoy the scenery. The train slowed as it reached the station and gradually came to a complete stop, allowing the doors to open so passengers could get out onto the platform. Crystal got up from her seat, secured her one bag over her shoulder and grabbed her suitcase down from the luggage rack. "Alright, let's see what we can find out here."

	Kuukyo shrugged lightly to himself, yawning "i've seen lots of things crystal, i'm usually on the move outside central remember?" he pointed out, while opening an eye sleepily. Edward just chuckled while looking outside a bit "true enough, the scenery is quite peaceful..." when he heard the whistle blowing, and felt the train slowing down he lightly got up to get his suitcase chuckling "a new town, and a new lead, i got a good feeling about this one Al!" Kuukyo just groaned, and got up lightly, picking up his own metallic suitcase from the carriage as well and lightly followed, still having a groggy and sleepy look behind his sunglasses as he let off a yawn "nothing against train rides, but they make me extremely sleepy sometimes."

	"In that case we probably shouldn't let you drive," Crystal rounded on Kuukyo again. "We could get into a lot of trouble if you were to fall asleep at the wheel." Alphonse stood up to grab the last of their luggage. Really, what was regarded as his suitcase was actually filled with research materials that he carried around for Edward since it wasn't like Alphonse needed to carry around a change of clothes for his armor or anything. It also helped to make him seem like just a regular passenger, in spite of the aforementioned armor. "Nii-san," Alphonse sighed. "Just try not to run anyone down getting off the train, okay?" Crystal was already following Edward to the nearest exit. Alphonse got the distinct impression that neither one of them had been listening to his concerns.

	Kuukyo just rolled his barely open eye and followed the two of them, idly tapping Al on the shoulder "don't worry about them, i'm sure they won't run people over." he said while chuckling to himself. Edward meanwhile hopped off the train and of course went over to a nearby snack vendor, getting a few somethings to eat given he was quite peckish at the moment and didn't want to wait for the hotel and a buffet and all. when Kuukyo got off the train he saw the snack stuffing edward and just facepalmed lightly before moving off to check train times for the next few days, and get some info from the locals about the area, instead of doing the usual drive around to look kind of deal.

	Crystal had followed Edward over to the snack vendor and helped herself to a handful of sweets. Alphonse didn't think all that sugar was really necessary, but he couldn't really stop the girl from doing what she wanted when it would probably just incite his brother to go off on another sugar rush himself. At times Alphonse was finding it hard to tell which of them was really being a worse role model on the other. He could recall Crystal mentioning that she was slightly younger than Edward, but she hadn't specified by how much. And, given the drastic fluctuations in his brother's maturity, he wasn't sure the age difference really mattered. "Oh, these are good too!" Crystal had found yet another package of sweets that she liked and immediately purchased them from the vendor. That was around the time when they all heard a little girl screaming and sobbing after becoming pinned underneath a rickety old mine cart...

	Kuukyo had been currently talking to one of the passerbys getting info while the two stuffed their face, chuckling lightly as he adjusted his sunglasses a bit lightly ~those two... you never know how they'll act maturity wise.~ he thought to himself, when the scream and sobbing occured, he looked over and saw the trapped girl, frowning a bit as he began to clap his hands, when he heard a clap all too familiar and turned back to his charge and partner. Edward of course slammed his hands on the ground to quickly sprout some rock to push the mine cart off the girl, before moving over to quickly get it out of the way while he had kept himself serious, but smiled to the little girl "i'm here to help, so it's alright..."

	Naturally, the little girl was extremely grateful to Edward for saving her and the townspeople decided to celebrate his heroism by inviting the boy along with all his companions to the local tavern. The locals were very interested in Edward's use of alchemy because they didn't get too many alchemists passing through their town. People were crowded all around him and, for the moment, it seemed that the people of this town were really very fond of alchemists. Crystal managed to avoid getting strangled by the spotlight by not bothering to make it known that she also possessed skills as an alchemist. Honestly, she thought the townspeople were making way too big a deal out of it. She was certainly glad that Edward had reacted quickly to save the little girl, but then this whole celebratory feast at the tavern seemed kind of excessive. That was when one of the townspeople decided to ask that fateful question: "So, first thing's first, how about you tell us your name?" It was doubtful that any of them could have foreseen that answering such a simple, straightforward question would get them into a world of trouble.

	Kuukyo just chuckled lightly while waving his hands idly "just a travelling alchemist wandering the countryside to see the sights and all." he said, playing down his own involvement in the thing while mentally grumbling about Edward getting most of the attention. Edward grinned lightly and pointed at himself with his thumb "name's edward Elric, the Fullmetal alchemist." of course, while Edward hadn't noticed the drastic degree change in the area, Kuukyo did, and just raised an eyebrow lightly ~nande?~ he thought, tilting his head in mild confusion.

	"And I'm his younger brother Alphonse Elric," Alphonse stood beside his brother and also introduced himself. The crowd surrounding the brothers went suddenly quiet as numerous people began whispering muttered utterances amongst themselves before one of them stood out from the crowd to become their spokesperson. "You should learn to tell the truth. It isn't right to pretend to be someone else. And besides, the famous Elric brothers have been in this town for awhile now staying up at Mugiar's Mansion helping out with his research. Why don't you boys tell us who you really are?" Alphonse looked hopelessly to his brother. "But we really are the Elric brothers." Crystal felt the growing hostility coming from the crowd inside the tavern and got up from her seat, headed for the door to make a hasty exit. For some reason the belief that Edward and Alphonse were lying about their identities was getting the crowd all riled up. And considering most of the patrons of the tavern had been consuming generous amounts of alcohol only moments before, it was likely that mugs and eating utensils would be flung at them at any second if they didn't manage to clear their names right then and there. "We don't take kindly to liars," another person stepped out from the crowd to lecture Alphonse for sticking to his story. "But we're not lying," Alphonse persisted. He was sure that there had to be some way to prove that they really were who they claimed to be. That's right, his brother's silver pocket-watch. That proved that Edward really was a state alchemist! Unfortunately, it looked like the crowd of people around them no longer had any intention of hearing them out. "Look, if you boys aren't going to tell us the truth, then you'd better get out of here. We don't serve liars in this town!" And, sure enough, objects started getting flung all around the tavern as several angry patrons began chasing the Elric brothers to the door.

	Kuukyo hardened his eyes when he heard the commotion, lightly shaking his head a bit and sipped his drink in relative quietness, while his mind went wild in trying to come to soem conclusions about this ~why would edward and Al lie? plus i know he's the real deal... meaning.. there might be someone impersonating the brothers? they are quite famous...~ Edward of course crashlanded outside before getting up and shaking his fist lightly "what the hell!?! i saved that girl's life and you call me a liar!?! that's just downright low!"

	Alphonse hit the dirt, flailing desperately to keep his helmet fastened securely to his armor as his suitcase came sailing down and clanged against his armored chest. The sound reverberated for several seconds causing him to become mildly dazed from the echo, but then he was able to haul himself back onto his feet to stare down the angry crowd beside his brother. Just what was the matter with all these people? Did it even occur to them that maybe these other alleged Elric brothers might have been the imposters? They didn't even give them a chance to prove themselves. But then Alphonse spotted a few of the heftier men in the tavern starting to pick up pieces of furniture and placed a warning hand on his brother's shoulder. "Maybe we should just leave for now so no one has to get hurt over this misunderstanding." "I'll second that," Crystal made her way over from a little ways up the road to grab Edward by the arm. "You can always berate them for not believing you later so long as they've got nothing else to hold against you. Besides, they were kind enough to let us know exactly where to find the imposters." And where the hell was Kuukyo at a time like this?
