[1 v 1] Dodge duck dip dive and dodge (Holly/West)

He didn't quite know how to feel about the possibility of fighting Holly. Even so, West had every intention of showing her his FEAR, so the gym was where they had to meet. Maybe they wouldn't fight at all. Yeah, right.

At first, he headed toward the indoor gym, the place where the recovery tents had been set up after the haunted house, but something about the location irked him today. It was a bright, sunny day, or at least as sunny as it got in Halloween, and he didn't feel like flailing around indoors. Instead he stood on the path between the indoor gym and the outdoor arena, hoping to catch the ghost ghoul before she went inside.

After their previous conversation a few things had become apparent. Both Holly and West were antsy about that darn field trip, and West now had to show her his FEAR. They had agreed to meet this day so the later could be taken care of. They were also fighting. Fighting as in a practice battle not as in angry. What was better than seeing a FEAR in action and get to relieve some of the tension floating around.

Holly hadn't fought a boil before though she was sure he wouldn't have a problem with her being a ghoul. Right? Either way he'd have to suck it up and fight. Just a quick spar and nothing more. Seemed easy enough.

She'd almost made it to the indoor gym when she spotted the familiar red hair off to the side. The ghoul turned and made her way over. "Outside? Ya ready then?"

"Yeah, outside," he said with a slight smile. Just in case he needed to fly around. He also had a brief and unpleasant thought about Hunters, and how they weren't about to solely attack indoors for convenience's sake, but he kept that to himself as well.

He motioned for her to join him further in the arena. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be," he said. Now, how to begin? Should he just throw a punch, or was it better to start with FEAR? That was what she had come to see, right?

At least it was a nice day out. Or as nice a day that they could get around here. Was it always this uncheerful at this school. Did she need to really ask that? The fact that West had wings didn't cross her mind. Yeah she remembered it but not at this point nor that he would actually be able to use them or not for this.

"You sure?" She chuckled for just a moment.

What else did he have to be ready for. Didn't he want to fight. Okay well she did remember that they discussed her getting to see his fear and not necessarily fighting. Why waste time and not get some practice in. What trouble could come from that? Holly knew he didn't have a trouble fighting girls so there was no worrying there.

She realized he had yet to make any sort of move. Also she was standing pretty close. Without saying a thing, Holly went to hit West as hard as she could in his arm then backed up a few feet. "Might as well have some fun too right? Gonna show that FEAR off later then."

West barked out a laugh when she hit him. The punch definitely had some awesomely nefarious intent behind it, and he rubbed his arm as he stepped back to plan his counter. It seemed she wanted to fight, FEARs be damned. He could totally do that.

His fist lashed out at Holly, but the lingering sting of her punch made it less forceful than it might have been.

"Yeah, sure. Later," he said with a smirk. When she wasn't expecting it.

Holly's lips curled into a smirk after she landed that first punch. It felt good knowing that she could actually hit something. The fact that he rubbed his arm meant she caused some bit of damage. Or she hoped at least. She hadn't been ready to block and West's own punch made contact with her.

The ghoul tried her best to brush off his attack. Holly took a step. Her other leg swung around in a kick.

"Promise?" It was the original purpose of this meeting, shame if she didn't get to see his FEAR. She grinned a bit.

Her foot smacked into his side and any trace of his grin faded from West's lips. All right. She was kicking his a**. Literally. Almost.

"Mmm hmm," he said, eyes narrowed. Any further reply was cut short by the totally badass concentration he was now employing. Counter attack. West hit Holly's leg as it began to fall and wrapped both hands around her ankle, trying to drag her off of her supporting leg and onto the floor.

She almost surprised herself there with the amount of force she hit him with. Where did that come from exactly. Must of hurt though since she saw that grin get wiped from his face. All in all Holly was feeling pretty good with herself.

And not good. Her awesome skills of kicking had distracted her and she hadn't retracted her foot fast enough. He now had a hold of her ankle, great. The ghoul's balance hadn't been great when she first landed the kick and she was being pulled.

Now she was falling towards West. Maybe the comination of falling and flailing would injure him in some way? She could hope at least. Still her falling continued.

His attention was drawn to his hand as her foot brushed it again. So. Now was as good a time as any, right?

"So," he said looking down at her, his tone akin to a condescending teacher addressing a particularly slow student, "Now I'ma show you what y'came t'see." No more sneaky punching and kicking. Just good ol' FEAR.

West's fist began to glow and he pulled it close to his chest, waiting for the perfect time to strike. His power had been so well-behaved lately, surely it would continue to work in his favor.

"See? Awesome, ri--"

Without warning, the demon's attack turned against him with a violence it never had before. West's eyes squeezed shut as he was thrown off of his feet, and for what seemed like forever his vision went white and he lost track of where he was.

She was glad that falling to the ground didn't seem to hurt her much at all. Holly looked up to West since he now started to speak. A brow rose as she listened to him speak very slowly. Something wrong with him? Hey! He was getting to the FEAR part. This should be pretty good.

Holly sat in silence as she watched him. It was pretty cool so far, pretty... well crap. Obviously that wasn't suppose to happen. Still it was an impressive show of power though it had backfired. Part of her was glad that the attack hadn't hit her though. Really looked like it hurt. Really.

He was on the ground now, even playing field. "West?" And he didn't respond, great. Holly scrambled over and looked at the boil. Yeah, he seemed out of it for the moment. A grin spread over her face. What a perfect time to start her acting homework. She didn't know what to do with it at first, a makeup kit, really? Though she did use some of it earlier to prepare for a prank later. If he stayed out of it for just a bit longer she could perhaps have some fun.

She reached into her pocket and pulled out the kit. Holly who was still on the ground leaned over West. The ghoul took out the lipstick from the kit and tried to apply it to the boil, perhaps a heart on his cheek too? She really hoped he didn't come too yet since she was leaning over him with her faces inches from his. Awkward position much.

The first thing he saw when he came back to himself was Holly. How could he not? She was... right there. He blinked. What was she doing? West felt the cold pressure of something sliding across his cheek and frowned, hitting at her to get her to stop. He might have hit her pretty hard.

"What're you..." He brought his fingers up to his lips and when they came away red and sparkly, he screamed.

Holly's acting homework: complete and successful.

Holly grinned when she saw him come to. Well. At least she got her homework done. That counted right? She used the kit and West was scared because of it. Yep, totally counted. Sadly her drawing on his cheek wasn't completed nor ever would be.

He hit her with more force than what she was expecting. At his hit she fell against the ground, back completely against the ground. Well crap. She pouted her lip just a bit. "Was just doing my homework. It looks wonderful on you." The ghoul still had yet to get up off the ground.

He slid his heel forward, kicking some pebbles in her direction as he got up. West growled slightly as he rubbed furiously at his cheek, but he only made the smear of color there more pronounced.

"Does not," he muttered. "I'm gonna..." He let out a dramatic sigh and lowered his arms quickly so they smacked against his sides. "C'mere so I can punch ya!"

One of the pebbles he kicked up hit her in the face. Holly rubbed her cheek. Jerk. She chuckled as she watched him fuss with the markings on his own cheek and it only got worse. "It looks better now." She motioned at his cheek.

He's gonna what? Hit her with another pebble. Holly took the lipstick case and tossed it at West, hoping it would hit him. There, she didn't have to get closer to attack, perfect. She crossed her arms. "Make me." It was then she realized she was still sitting on the ground.
