[1 vs 1] PATS! R2! [ Savior x Thackey ] FINISHED!

Was it weird that Savior had been lurking around the gym hoping to see that cute puppy again? The one she had given her smell to and who had given her his smell in return? She wanted to see him again for some reason, probably because giving him those pats had been fun and she'd long forgotten about the kicks and hitting and whatever.

Also she was older now and had gone home to eat stuff and she wanted to show him her new mask piece and other things. Maybe if she waited long enough he would show up.

Savior was sometimes really, really odd for having lots of patience. Usually she just derped.

The shame from his first battle had long worn off, and Thackery, for whatever reason, wanted to try sparring again. More than likely, it was the nagging in the back of his mind that the Hunters would come again, and they'd take him and...he didn't want to think about that.

He was nervous to be approaching the gym again, but his appearance seemed oddly dreamy, almost disconnected. The likely cause of this expression was the fact that he was remembering the outcome of his last "battle" - the petting had been so nice.

So when he entered the gym and found Savior wandering about, he nearly jumped with excitement. Unfortunately, his self-control didn't extend far enough to prevent him from skipping to her and waving enthusiastically.

SAVIOR HAD BEEN REWARDED OH HOW HAPPY TODAY WAS.

The Marrowstripe didn't even really wait for him to speak, instead she moved and lifted him into her arms with a massive hug. She still smelled strongly of citrus but she also smelled of the sun and something else that would be hard to place. "Puppy." Where Savior learned the word 'puppy' was a good question, but still! She set Thackey down and placed a hand on his head, her eyes as gentle as they could be from above her mask. "How youse."

Oh it was so nice to see her puppy again. So very, very nice.

An Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee spilled forth from Thackery's open mouth as he felt himself being squeezed into a hug. A rather scratchy hug. Though he was fairly certain that his insides were being compressed to an alarmingly small size and that his head might explode, he thought he faintly heard her call him "puppy," which merited a smile.

When she put him down and he could breathe again, he finally caught a whiff of her pleasant scent. It was just along the edge of being almost too overwhelming to his senses, but kind of nice at the same time.

"I'm okay! Now, at least." It was unclear what he was referring to, and he continued right on with his conversation. "Are you okay too? You look different! And um, while I'm thinking about it...could you teach me kicks some more?"

"Kicks? Okaies." Savior moved her hand back from Thackey's head and look at him, tilting her head to the side for a moment before she suddenly snapped it. It became apparent that she was cracking her neck, then her back and shoulders, and soon her knuckles too.

All the while each crack of her bone produced a whistling sound. "Ready."

Savior's reactions were always so far from typical. Thackery generally loved to chat, to ramble on about absolute nonsense, but his friend seemed to care less about all of that. At the notice that he wanted another battle, she...well, he wasn't quite sure what she was doing.

It took a few moments for him to realize that she was preparing for battle. Oh! He should do that too, he decided.

He stretched as far as he could, which prompted a yawn, which prompted an involuntary wag of his tail. And that was as far as his preparatory exercise knowledge went.

"Okay. I'm ready too."

Only a short second later, he unleashed a clumsy (but somewhat impressive) high-kick, hoping to show her that he'd learned something from their last fight.

Savior.....probably forgot to mention that she'd gone home for a while and had grown a good bit stronger during that time. None the less she was impressed with Thackery's kick, rewarding him with a trill, and then she decided to show him one of her own.

When her kick connected she about knocked him across the room. Oops.

The excitement Thackery felt over landing such a totally sweet kick was very short-lived. He stumbled back and would have fallen right on his tail if he hadn't managed to catch himself with an extended hand. Of course, putting all of his weight against it in such a way resulted in a quick burst of pain, and the weary acknowledgement that he might have sprained it.

"You're...really strong!" he called to her, shaking his hand in an attempt to alleviate the blossoming soreness.

He ran towards her, attempting some kind of jump-kick. It was obvious that he'd not been doing his FEARleading practicing lately, because the acrobatic failed, and he just barely connected with her in his accidental backwards fumble.

Savior felt bad for hitting Puppy as hard as she had, watching him stagger actually made her heart ache a bit. Or maybe that was heartburn from her feast that was still settling in her stomach.

Either way she decided to hold back a bit on her attack, seeing as she'd practically floored him last time. This kick barely made contact with him and the Marrowstripe was pleased by that.

Maybe Thackery was still a little bit disoriented from all of his flailing about, but Savior seemed kind of...glad that he hadn't been hot too hard? Compared to her first kick, he barely felt anything.

Okay, there was going to be a bruise there for a short while, but he was being strong.

"Are you giving me easy kicks? I don't wanna learn easy kicks, Savior! Do the mean stuff!"

He bared his teeth and made monster claws in demonstration.

Okay, Savior had promised to take him a bit more seriously but she still didn't wanna hit him too hard so she....sorta swiped at him? Her foot did make contact but it was more or less only her toes for now.

Still he would be thankful right?

Thackery frowned. He liked Savior, and she gave just about the best pettings he could get, but he was fairly certain that she was still going easy on him. Though he didn't like getting hurt, he wanted to be able to prevent injury and fight back if he could!

"No, no," he insisted. "Like the last one. A good one! You're so good at kicks!" Reminiscent of their last battle together, he gave a small kick in the shin to try and urge her along.

Kickfight was back on.

Savior did not appreciate how Thackery did not seem to enjoy her soft kicks, so she decided to pick up the pace and let him know she could be serious if she really tried. The result was more of her foot contacted with him and probably made him stagger.

After another stumble backwards, Thackery was beginning to feel some real battle energy here. That was what he was talking about! Aside from the fact that he was beginning to hurt and felt kind of weak, the smile that spread across his face proved just how pleased he felt about it.

He moved to attack, but paused mid-strike, taking the opportunity to give her a thumbs-up instead. He hoped that she wouldn't find it condescending or frustrating; he genuinely liked sparring with her (even when it turned into a pet-fest), and this was both educational lots of fun!

That, and his body didn't really feel like performing those exciting kicks from before. He weighed the possibility of taking a nap after this.

Was her Puppy slowing down? Savior's brow creased as she looked at Thackery, wondering if she should give it a go after all. It had escaped her memory that he had been angry the first time they met when she went easy on him.....so she kicked him again.

A kick to his legs, in an effort to show him that going for the legs was the best option since it would take down almost any enemy.
