The following post is not for those with weak stomachs.
M
So, my period started on Wednesday and I was pissed because that meant I would be at peak bleeding and fatigue right on Christmas when things are at their most hectic and people are everywhere and, well you get the drift.
When it started, it was mildly moderate which of course meant I was in for the long haul and it would most likely be very heavy on the days mentioned. Sucky Christmas right? crying
I was depressed and cranky and begging what ever higher power is up there that it wouldn't be too bad. Well here's where everything goes all funky.
Christmas morning, I wake up early to start cleaning and breakfast. I take a nice shower and put on a fresh clean pad and get started. While I'm cooking I feel something squirt out of my v****a. It was the same feeling I get when I have to sit for several hours while on my period and when I stand up it all oozes out at once. Every few minutes I would feel the oozing/squirting sensation and after a while my pad felt heavy so I went to the bathroom to change it and not only was it soaked to almost overflowing (and this was a heavy flow pad!), but there were several clumps of congealed blood as well, roughly a tablespoons worth.
I was horrified but as long as there was no pain and severe cramps I was fine, so I clean up with several wet wipes and put on a fresh pad and get myself ready for one hellish Christmas.
For the rest of the day there was nothing! Except for a few bloody smears, my pad stayed clean from there on, it's like my period suddenly went into fast forward.
I feel completely healthy too so I don't think there's an underlying health issue, just a one-time fluke. But hey, I'm not going to question my good fortune.
Thank you Santa! ^_^

I got mine after Christmas so I am happy I did not have that issue.I remember on Christmas when I was younger I took a bath and put on my nice new white Christmas underwear and when I woke up there was no blood.I opened a few gifts and I had been sitting down. I had on a nightgown that was also new and when I stood up I did not feel cold or wet on my butt but I turned around and my dad (my father of all people) said Kia I think you should go to the bathroom.I was embarrassed and upset...I ruined a perfectly good new pair of white panties. But after that one Christmas I have never had a bloody red Christmas. Thankfully.

I had something like that happen except mine didn't exactly happen. I skipped it for a whole three months. Which meant no period for my birthday, my sister's birthday and my boyfriend's birthday. (All on seperate months, weird, hm?) No yucky, bloody messes for me! I guess it was an early birthday gift from Mother Nature. I was very worried though, I thought something was wrong with me but I went to the Dr's and he said I was fine.
