So as some of you know, I'm moving quite soon and things as to where we're moving and when have been up in the air until about an hour ago. We're moving to Richmond Virginia (or near it) possibly next week. We'll be staying with some people temporarily until we all find work and get on our feet.
The part that's giving me a major nerdgasm right now? Whenever I travel to a new area, I always google what kind of fish stores and aquariums are nearby. Here, there is ONE store that specializes in fish, but not exclusively (just your average pet store rack as far as FW goes). So far I've found 4-5 in Richmond, two of which claim to be HUGE. I'm dying with excitement looking at these pictures. I really can't get anything until I'm working (money, other pets come first, we won't be in our own place, etc), but that doesn't mean that I can't go there and look, make friends, or maybe even try to snag a job. This is awesome, I've been feeling really bummed out since leaving the aquarium, and not having any fish stores here really added to that.
Here are some of the websites if anyone is in the area or just wants to look at neat stores: Atlantis Aquariums Azalea Aquariums FishWorld Richmond Aquarium
And these are just the ones in one city! There are tons in other cities as well, although I'm not sure what the transportation or geography will be like there, so I'm mainly focusing on the ones that will hopefully be nearby. Soooo exciting. It's like a breath of fresh air xD Also as a big plus, I should be able to find the pleco I'm looking for with any luck. All these stores, there must be a HUGE hobbyist base there.
