[Battle PRP] [1 v 1] Push Wheel Into Face (Before vs Herryk)

Between External Missions, running training courses, spars, and chores, it was a wonder Before hadn't collapsed from exhaustion yet. Wherever he was getting this surplus of energy, hopefully it would last the length of this patrol of the Haunted House. Teal eyes stared up at the structure, the scar on the bridge of his nose suddenly itching.

He scrunched his nose, trying to will away the memories he had of the place. Sure he'd been stuck in portal-limbo-land while everyone else got crushed by a Horseman but he had been to the Haunted House when the not-Aria b***h revealed herself. As such, he was wary when he walked through the threshold and stepped into...

Why was every surface in the room padded? O____________o?!?!?!

There were a lot of things that Herryk didn't pay attention to. He didn't pay attention to ghouls aside from Freya, he didn't pay attention to the hottest fashion trends or the newest gadgets or gizmos. These were things that did not even cross Herryk's mind. However, when a door was in a place where there had been no door Before (get it)... these were the things that Herryk noticed.

Like any stupid 'not thinking about repercussions now just want to see what this door do' boneheaded Herryk is prone to do, Herryk opened the door and went in. Of course, like the gentleman Herryk is, he made sure to close the door behind him.

A long corridor, more doors. Herryk chose one at random, pausing to grunt before he swung it open. It took a moment for the draugr to realize what he was staring at. It took a moment longer for him to actually react.

"You."

Now, anyone that knew Herryk well would also know that there was never a time where the hulking boil ever spoke with pronouns. Perhaps when Herryk was very sad, or even if Herryk was very angry. Suffice it to say, Herryk was not feeling sad at this particular moment in time. Rather large fists clenched a few times as Herryk weighed his options.

There would be blood.

Oh. s**t. Really? Really? Of all the possible freaks of nature Before could encounter, it had to be Conan?! This was the dude that broke Before's nose the second time in one day :/ Also, dude was huge. Before wasn't even sure if it was possible for him to get even bigger but it seemed like Conan managed to do just that.

Confidence level in getting out of this with no broken bones: Dropping.

Before wondered if the FEAR creature would remember him. Or maybe he was one of those I-forget-like-a-goldfish types! Who knows? That was possible wasn't it?

There are less than intelligent Halloween creatures, silly Before but-

"You."

Apparently Conan wasn't on such creature xAx The bottle-cap pin on Before's coat instinctively enlarged into her wheel-form, settling comfortably in Before's hands.

"Hiya, Conan," he greeted, no trace of nerves in his posture. It aaaaall went to the squeak in his voice >.<

Before's intention was to engage Conan in a stare-down. Vanna, on the other hand, wanted her partner to take a more proactive approach and basically roared at him to get a move on. There was only a mental sigh and the slight slack in his shoulders to indicate Before's intention to act. Wordlessly, he broke into a run, the padded floor made it difficult for him to get a good pace going.

It was awkward at best and maybe even painful to watch. How anyone could view Before as a threat was quite beyond the Hunter but it was something his partner intended to remedy. The swing he made had some amount of power behind it now that he had a better grip on his weapon, but the floor unbalanced him and the arc came out wobbly. Before barely managed to graze the Halloweener.

Herryk did not know who this Conan person was that the twerp kept talking about, but he wasn't going to get into that.

Herryk did not think he would be making it out of this battle on the winning side, so there was much to be done when it came to making observations. Herryk watched the weapon change from a pin on the lapel of the fancy jacket the hunter wore into a large and heavy-looking wheel. The very same wheel that Herryk distinctly remembered crashing into his face just before he dispersed.

From the wheel, Herryk's ghastly gaze moved upwards. A faint smile twisted his lips as he took note of the scar that graced the hunter's nose. So they could be hurt, and the hurt did not discriminate. They could be marked. Herryk did not know if it meant anything, but it was good to remember these things.

"Nice scar, Wheels," Herryk grunted, closing the distance awkwardly between them even as Before came at him. Yes, the blow from the wheel hurt, and Herryk shoved the hunter back. He wasn't sure what to do, and despite the gruff exterior he was forcing himself to show, Herryk was feeling more than a little frightened.

Falling from that shove would have hurt twice as much if the floors hadn't been padded. Looks like the topology of the room was a blessing as well as a curse. He made no motion to stand, instead fixing teal eyes on the creature, "Thanks, but ef wai ai, you're not the only reason I got the scar." He wasn't going to elaborate further. However, he did look pensive for a moment.

"Wheels, huh? I like it buuuut wouldn't Wheeler make more sense since I only got one wheel?" He asked in all seriousness, holding Vanna in front of him with one hand as if to further prove his point. While still sitting down. Vanna gave an irate sigh at how non-threatening her partner's behavior was.

Herryk paused, forgetting for a moment where he was and who he was talking to. The environment felt entirely too relaxed, and the question that Herryk was posed didn't make the draugr feel as if he was under attack.

It was ridiculous.

"This runtling makes a good point to Herryk. Would the little fleshy man also agree that Wheels sounds better, though? It does to Herryk's ears, though a very -- wait."

What?

"Herryk will not be fooled by these fancy words and silly questions!"

Placing a foot against the wheel, Herryk gave a shove. It was a lame attack, but... tricksy hunters and their tricksy words!

Before would have argued that he didn't think the extra syllable made the name sound less better to his ears (also it was a reference to an old cartoon that Before had liked, once upon a time) had Eric with an H not shoved him onto his back again. DDDDDDD8

"Hey, Eric, first off, names are totes important! Second, I am not that tiny." 8CCCC to prove his point, Before stood up. And came up to the Halloweener's... fine, he was tiny when compared to most and especially compared to his current opponent > n> "And third..." he trailed off, seeming to be in deep thought. "Okay, so there is no third, but first and second still stands!" >8[

Somewhere in the back of Before's mind, a face wrought from metal was busy face-desking at her partner's antics.

Okay, so were they going to stand around talking or were they going to start punching? Herryk would rather stab himself in the eye before admitting that the twerp was kind of growing on him. They were here in a padded room having the most intellectually stimulating conversation. They had thrown a few punches, sure, but nothing super painful.

Yet.

Herryk frowned thunderously when Wheels or Wheeler or whatever called him Eric. Eric was a horrible name.

"Before Herryk punches in the face of Wheeler Wheels," the draugr muttered, feeling rather insulted that he'd been called by the wrong name, "Herryk would like to make sure that this little skinny man knows what Herryk's name is."

Herryk mashed one fist into the open palm of his opposite hand.

"Herryk's name is Herryk. Herryk starts with an H."

Aww, wookit him. Hims knows hims alphabet innit dat so cuuuute.

That being said, Herryk drove his fist into Before's shoulder.

Uh oh, Before made Conan mad 8C Ooooh so it's Heric then, he thought to himself. Okay, he'd used the wrong name. No worries, Before will keep that in mind Heric with... an... H. Sure he had thought it earlier but to actually hear it said out loud... It reminded him how he was now a Misty and not a Lifer and- "Ow!" he squeaked at the punch to the shoulder.

He frowned, "H is a horrible letter." and retaliated with a swing of Vanna's broadside against the Halloweener. What exactly he meant by that was anybody's guess (answer: It's not because of Herryk ;; ).

"It is not a horrible letter," Herryk scowled. He was content to be somewhat amicable (purely for investigatory purposes) up until the point that the hunter slammed his weapon into Herryk. Broad-side, yes, but the sight of that weapon coming at Herryk made the draugr have something of a flashback to the field when they'd visited the haunted house.

And that made Herryk furious.

"How did this scrawny man get here? Why?"

Each question was punctuated by a hearty jab until Herryk just allowed himself to be consumed by the rage that finally boiled over. His attack, while powerful, was not quite as strong as it should have been - perhaps it was the room? Herryk was growing frustrated rapidly as evidenced by the loud growl that ripped from his throat.

Each punch was accentuated with a squeak. Squeak! Squeak! Squeak! squeak! And it was all coming from Before. His partner was not happy with the treatment Before was getting. She was even less happy with his performance and behavior.

THIS IS SHAMEFUL AND UNBECOMING!!!!

Before, unfortunately, mistook this as him being rude and not answering questions asked of him. It seemed he had taken to being a doormat again. Or maybe he was just planning on wearing out his opponent. "I. ACK! Walked. OOF! In." If it weren't for the padding on the floors and walls, he was sure the recoil of his body slamming onto any of the surfaces would have made this ordeal a whole ******** more painful than it already was.

DDDDDDDDDDDX!!!!! In his blind attempt to distance himself, Before ended up stepping on one of the Halloweener's toe.

Herryk winced when Before stepped on his toe. It was more of a discomfort than anything, really, and Herryk had to wonder just ...what were they afraid of? This bumbling idiot wasn't so frightening, not like he'd been before on the battlefield.

Herryk nudged the hunter very roughly with his foot, getting frustrated now with the entire situation.

"Why is this little man wasting so much time with all of this talking? Why is this little man not attacking Herryk?"

Before brought his partner up to shield himself from the frustrated Halloweener's attack. If any damage occured, it was probably due to kicking the broadside of the wheel while Before baaaaacked away some more. "Whoa wut? You totes got me confused with the others," he pouted, peering up over the wheel to stare at Heric. "I'm just here to look around, make sure none of you guys go into our turf, defend myself since you're going all barbarian-horde on me. That sorta stuff. Unless you just sorta wanna duke it out?" :/

Vanna wished fervently the Halloweener could hear her cries of utter shame and dismay. Before needed rest, he clearly wasn't thinking straight.

All part of my brilliant plan to make it out alive, Vanna!

Somehow, the former Devil Shield doubted that.

A hearty scowl marked the face of the draugr as he peered down at the annoying little man before him.

"Herryk does not have this little man 'totes confused' with the others. Herryk very clearly remembers this wheel smashing into Herryk before Herryk ended up back in the room with the mouth on the wall. This is not something that Herryk can make up."

Lips on the wall? Yeah, totally out of Herryk's creative reach.

"Herryk grows frustrated with the whining. This little man should stand up and fight Herryk. Right now."
