Malcolm had announced his next class over the Ickycom, urging anyone who was interested in Minipet Battle to attend his next class in Classroom 14. Apparently, it was going to be used as a way to gauge one's potential as a Minipet Master. There was also something about an upcoming contest of sorts...

Classroom 14 was empty. It was just one giant room, although the walls had what appeared to be green runes scribbled on them - anyone who knows a bit of magic would realize that those were protection runes, to protect the walls of the classroom.

... From what? This is a minipet class, right?

Was this a chance to finally get Brian to listen? Mort certainly hoped so. The dragie had been all but a terror in his room as of late (and even before his time at school started), so to hear of a class to help make mini pets more disciplined and even battle ready made him hopeful. He entered the empty classroom with a little gulp, Brian on a mid-sized leash by his side - not faithfully, but out of suspicion. Neither he nor his master were very fond of magic, and the minipet especially did not like the general feeling of this room.

He also didn't like leashes, and as such began gnawing on the strap with a growl.

"Ho boil . . ." It was with some difficulty that Mortimer finally signed his named.

Princess Eva perked her ears as they passed by the school building, close enough to hear the ickycom. Minipet Master? So this class was for her? Her boil did like to battle...

She headed into the school, Yǐn Cáng flustered as he looked around, not sure if she should be in the building. And slightly wondering as she headed straight into a classroom without second though. Mort was already there, and with his minipet as well. "Greetings Mort," he said, before noticing the sign-up sheet and going to awkwardly scratch their names on it. For the 752nd time since he had arrived at the school he wished that they would just use calligraphy brushes like the Clan, and not these pens that everyone so adored that were much too awkward for his hands. Princess Eva looked around, wondering if she should bother with this class. Her boil was already so well behaved.

[Pixie Nyxie]

Amphi eye'd the class as she walked past, her kushi kushi the only minipet she allowed to follow her around most days perched on her shoulder gave a small squeak of joy before hopping off and into the classroom.

It was occupied by two other boils that Amphi didn't know and had her careening around to escape...only to notice her Kushi was sniffing at the Undead male.

"So...Sorry about that!" She ran up and over before scooping the troublemaker up and then looking at the lsit. The last time she had been in a class was well...Sex Ed with Cricket. This was a good chance to get to know people wasn't it?

She waited till the Mantisboy wrote his name before awkwardly signing up herself. Meeting new people, Meeting new people. Her Kushi Kushi gave a happy squeak.

These bats had been in her office ALL FREAKING WEEK. She'd tried using a broom to shoo them out, rat poison and even Trollapus to scare them out. But her efforts had all blown up in her face. There was only one more thing to do.

Go to Malcolm and see if he couldn't help her with her little bat problem. Because Savage sure as hell was terrible when it came to training animals. Her classes with her students some times could be testament to that.

Professor Savage went ahead and signed her name to the sheet and worked her way to take a seat with the students.

The Creature had been restless lately, and Amrita could only assume that it was because he had nothing to do and not that he was still upset at her whole new body thing. At first she just tried to ignore the Charm's antics, the way he ran around and practically scaled the walls to get rid of some energy...but it became harder to ignore him when he started setting fire to things, too.

Rest in ashes, homework. :C

So when she heard the announcement, she was all over it! Battles exhausted her, so it should do the same to DC, right?! That was her hope, anyway.

Thus, the Undead took her very firey Death Charm to the MInipet class.

DC bounded in fearlessly, the little Fire creature - which was now about the side of a large housecat - taking this opportunity to smell everything and had every intention of getting into everyone's personal space. Amrita however lingered in the doorway. The last time she was here, the classroom went up in flames...and it wasn't her fault. Now, where was her little --- ah!

"...DC don't you dare!" Amrita called out, spotting her little beastie with his angled chin on the ground and tail in the air, shoulders shifting as if ready to pounce...on the shoulder Kushi-Kushi. When he heard his name his ears swivelled and he laid down quickly, tail thumping on the ground; he looked over his shoulder, white-hot eyes wide in what could only be assumed was an attempt at innocence. What? He wasn't going to do anything! She was crazy, totally crazy OuO.

Amrita just groaned.

[ToT Old Batty]

There were many bats in Batty's army, and with their leader having gone missing, some of them had taken to following Professor Savage around like little lost puppies. She had actually managed to kill and/or discourage quite a few, but since they all kind of looked the same, she had no way of knowing that.

Today she was accompanied by Aldo, Terri, and Klyde. They winged after her with little bat smiles on their little bat faces and settled around her desk as she took a seat.

The little bat smiles made Savages eye twitch just a little. They were smiling. Mocking her pain. It was very hard to not reach over and attempt to snap ones neck. No. She couldn't do that right now with so many students around. Instead she stared at them.

"Alright Boris, Brown one and little s**t we can .. do this.," It was obvious she had no idea what their names actually were. The fact that Savage was less then thrilled to be sitting among the students with these bats was also pretty obvious. She gave all the young faced students a sturdy scowl.

Alex had heard the announcement, but hand't really thought too much about it at first. Any type of 'battle' mini pet or otherwise was not really his thing. But the urge to join a new class was just too tempting for the zomboil, and in the end he decided he did have a pet that could probably use some time venting it's energy and anger problems out via any type of exercise...and putting him in a battle class might just be easier for Alex then taking the thing for a walk.

And so, after spending some time catching the evil looking black and red rabbit that did not want Alex picking it up, he made his way to the appointed classroom. He had to keep the bunny gripped fairly tight in his grasp, as it continued to struggle and attempted to scratch it's way free. It might have even bitten Alex if it hadn't learnt long ago just how horrible rotting flesh tasted from the first time it had tried such a thing.

When he arrived, he noted with some satisfaction that he wasn't even late for the class, despite the time spent capturing his pet to bring with him. He also happily noticed that Mort was also attending the class, as well as his best friend forever and ever, Yin.

He didn't really recognise anybody else, however, so he slowly shuffled his way in, making his way to the sign up sheet to pen in his name, while holding his pet tight against his chest with his free hand. He hesitated in the area where he should write in his pets name as well. Alex didn't exactly..have names for his pets. He just called them 'boy' or 'you' or used some distinguishing feature to call them. He supposed more often then not he called the dustbunny ' Evil Creature', so decided that 'Creature' should suffice for now. Writing that in, he turned away from the sheet, and greeted Yin with a large smile. "Hey! Uh..You're going to put Princess Eva in battles?" He asked, curiously.

It seemed a little weird that the doting weremantis would allow his spoiled princess to be a part of anything that might bring her harm.

He gave Mort a friendly wave as well, eyeing his pet.

Mort's pet looked awesome, and now Alex wanted one.

Norvegicus had been busy putting his things in order and preparing for his next class when word had gotten to him about this interesting Minipet class. He liked Malcolm, he was a good sort who knew how it do with animals, which was admirable. Norvie was not so good with animals. Hopefully, sitting in to get to know the students a little better would also be good for his recently built Robo-Scareon- the Hazcats had been lurking in his classroom again. He had bought the Scareon Kit in hopes it would provide a bit of a cushion between him and the horrible little felines. K-9 gleefully trotted alongside him, hopping over his tail as he poked into the classroom.

"Oh, my! Hello, Savage!" He called, spotting another teacher brightly. Good! He wasn't the only faculty taking advantage of the lesson! This would certainly be a fun experiment.

Enzo, meanwhile, had heard something along the lines of "Minipets" and "Fighting" and it was an offer he could not refuse. Wiseguy trotted along his ankles, picking off roaches experimentally with his little pipe in what Enzo felt was the most adorable of ways.

Yes, yes this would be the bee's knees. And maybe they could place bets. That sounded even better. Sauntering in, he plopped himself against the wall, arms crossed and ready to go, letting the little Torterror explore the room as he pleased.

Cricket wasn't really the type to keep pets - at least not on first impression. Yet somehow in her infirmary there were three of them. Not two - Ginko and Kurogi were public faces who tried to soothe the nerves of the anxious students who came in and would cause..problems...to be in her company. But it was the third that was elusive and unlikely to be seen. So when the announcement about minipet battle came up, she...actually was inclined to come and visit for such an occasion.

She cradled the minipet in her arm almost gingerly, it looking around the room with a sort of wide-eyed curiosity at the other minis who were in there as well. Cricket kept the little Fracs carefully tucked into her arm.She looked over the list with some vague interest. She spotted two names on there that caused her to look over the room with a sort of annoyed look on her face.

One had visited her office a few times because of...accidents, the other had a way of accidentally sending people to her office. Either way, they were signs of work, and after putting her name down on the list she made a point to not sit near either Novie or Savage.

She was never one for outright violence, but it seemed like this would be a good opportunity to meet some of the other students and perhaps socialize her poor Follossus. Sura wasn't quick to arrive, but she also wasn't late. She took a moment to look at the other minis that the others had brought with them, before looking down at the Follossus that loomed by her feet. Dormin seemed to eye the room suspiciously, huffing a bit, before lingering loyally near Sura.

Sura didn't even offer him a pet before she signed both of their names onto the list and went to find a seat.

Amphi was just turning around when she heard the small shout of what looked like another undead and....

Was that thing coming towards her? Taking a step back, Her Kushi Kushi responded with small sparks on his cheek pouches, it's fur standing on end when...a..Patchwork? Is that what landwalkers called them? Came forward and claimed her minipet.

"He's...He's quite the spunky one yes?" She smiled at the ghoul before patting her Kushi who seemed to be even more tense, sparks stung at her hands as it pulsated on her shoulder. "There There Vaith...calm down...".

Hel heard the word ‘battle’ and she was all over it.

Besides, the prospect of bringing a mini-pet to class sounded terribly fun as well! Thus the valkyrie marched into the class room, grinning widely as she paused and took a moment to see who else was in this class. Oh, quite a few students she knew! Yin, Amphi, Mort…holy Jack, even Professor Savage was in here! Awesome. But…this was mini-pet class room…and Hel didn’t seem to have a mini-pet…

Oh she did.

The little foxfire was just safely tucked into her bosom that was all.

Hel signed herself and the mini-pet in, and then took a seat near Yin and Mort, grinning widely at them. “Hello friends!” She greeted, and then turned to wave to Amphi and Professor Savage as well.

Malodore didn't entirely approve of sending minipets off to fight, but it had to admit that battle would fall upon them again - and it was best to have all one's resources ready at hand, fully prepared. And Luce had done well for herself, that first Christmas.

Thus, the plague doctor appeared, the young cwn pup standing proudly at its side, wagging her tail at nearly everyone within range... oh, Cricket was here? ... Huh. That was unexpected.
