[Battle PRP] [1 v 1] Lamps and Nightshade [Cass + Shehk]

It was her turn to take a patrol through the old Haunted House to see if any of those Amityville cretins - or worse - had shown up in it. It should have been safe, routine even, as she made sure to have her phone on hand in case things got bad. She'd call Marcus to help or something. If it wasn't too bad.

Still, the house seemed safe enough to her. A few dirty curtains, and... a room full of books. The walls were lined with them, actually. There was a nice cozy looking fireplace from hell there too. She probably should have thought it was adorable, but she had Nicodemus firmly in her hands as she paced in further.

It seemed like there was someone else in there...

How quaint. This room reminded Shehk of months long past when she'd first entered this room with every innocence of the world still in tact. Some of which had been destroyed after passing from this very place. Still, she'd heard tale of the hallway and hadn't been able to pass up walking down it. At least not until she'd come back here.

To this place.

She'd pulled a book off of the shelf - they were all the same, after all - and sat down in one of the chairs, setting her feet up while she browsed through it half heartedly. Until the door seemed to slide open again and someone stepped in. Shehk's ears twitched and her nose burned immediately. This scent.

It was a delicious scent. She wanted it, and the book was suddenly set down on the floor as she moved to the shadows to carefully stalk around the girl, eyes glimmering a bit. There was no time for words, she knew what this was. It was time for her to kill this one first, and then deal with the repercussions later....

Something was here and she heard it as something scuffled behind her, whirling around and firing without warning as the bullet went sailing past her target - a pair of glowing blue eyes and silver hair...fur..? Both. It was a dog-girl of some sort, and Cass 'tsk'd to herself as she stepped back.

"You brutes can't leave this place alone, can you?" she said, speaking down on the pricolici in front of her.

As the bullet sailed past her head, Shehk growled - a deep rumbling noise back at Cassandra as she suddenly turned on the hunter and without any warning lunged, teeth bared.

"YOU'RE THE ONES WHO DON'T BELONG HERE." she roared, livid. Hunters, she hated hunters. She hated hunters as much as anybody could hate the hunters, and then more. They were bad, they smelled delicious, and her sharp teeth found the huntress's shoulder, digging in hungrily, painfully.

Raw anger threw itself at her, and Cass was startled - though unpained somehow - when those teeth dug into her. A brief flash of appreciation for Nicodemus flashed through her head before she took the blade in her free hand and stabbed it into the leg of the creature that was assaulting her, before she stepped back.

"No. You shouldn't be here." Cass retaliated angrily. She had no more appeals to these monsters. She only had force to teach them now.

Shehk recoiled, blood running down her leg as she just snarled back at the hunter, swiping with one hand, her claws (okay, they were nails, but claws sounded better) digging into skin and ripping freely.

She had no answers for this girl, none. Just teeth.

Anger.

Vengeance.

Cass recoiled from the swipe at her and fell over a piece of furniture in her back up. s**t!!

She needed to get back up on her feet, and fast!

Cassandra! Pay attention to your surroundings better!

Before Cass could get up, however, Shehk suddenly threw herself onto the hunter, teeth suddenly digging into the girl again as she snarled and bit angrily. Teeth sunk in as she shook her head back and forth and back and forth in an attempt to cause more pain.

Anger.

The monster was biting her again, and Cass pulled herself back and kicked the lupine female off of her bluntly with one foot before she pulled the barrel of her gun around to fire upon her. Several solid hits, too.

She rolled over to get up as soon as she was able to again.

Bullets and blades! Shehk didn't like the bullets and she pulled away as the hunter stood up, her body shifting as she moved to having all four of her legs - a wolf body was a more efficient body, and Shehk lept back upon Cass, claws digging into the front of her shirt, the flesh of her chest, her stomach....

all protected by a FEAR barrier that kept her from being decimated by the Pricolici as she began to make a strange noise.

"BAD." Cass sliced at the canine that leapt upon her, feeling her blade meet fur and flesh, even as claws and teeth found her again. She was really getting annoyed by this one, because she didn't speak. She just attacked. She was angry.

Cass was angry too, and Nicodemus seemed to be sympathizing with her right then.

I am ready. he said, and a wicked grin came over Cass's face.

Shehk made a squelching noise as she was stabbed in the gut, stumbling back as blood poured from her stomach and leg, panting before she shook out her head and suddenly let out an ear-piercing deathly noise - like a howl and a wail mixed together.

Agony.

It burned even her own ears.

Cass lifted up the gun she held, pointing it at the bleeding and wailing canine, even though it made her ears burn, grinning like a maniac.

"Better put puppy out of its misery..." she grinned, the barrel of the gun suddenly lighting up, seeming to hold for a moment before several rays of light - bullets - came flying out of it, each of them pelting the pricolici without mercy.

Cass was delighted.

She'd been wanting to try that out.

More of the bullets pelted into her, Shehk recoiling as more holes formed in her body, blood seeping out of them as she suddenly growled and turned to lunge back upon the hunter when she realized that she couldn't just...stave off the attacks with her death howl.

Which just left her bleeding and biting on Cass all over.

Again, Cass had to throw the thing off of her, slicing through it with her blade before she stepped back, panting as the creature went rolling across the floor.

Your shield is fine, I have you covered still, Cassandra.

Still, she wasn't ready to believe the bleeding dog was dead. It looked like it got up after everything, after all.
