Welcome to the plot thread of Arabella Nox, a mare descended from a noble line of knightly soquili who has quite a bit of growing up to do. You see, Arabella has a long journey ahead of her as well as many vital lessons to learn about the world and those who inhabit it. She has a misconstrued idea about power and all that it entails, but it is my hope that through rp with you kind folks she will learn her lesson and become the glorious mare she is meant to be. Please, if you have any interest at all in plotting with her, do not be shy! Feel free to shoot me a pm with any and all of your ideas or post here in this thread. Though, I do ask that you quote me should you post in here so that I do not accidently miss it. Thank you for taking an interest and I look forward to molding her character with your assistance.

When she desires something she does whatever she can to get it, regardless of the consequences. As such she can be seen as being reckless at times, ignoring common sense only to allow desire to drive her. This has cost her many potential friends in the past because if they even try and tell her to let something go she becomes angry with them and will dismiss them in a rather rude fashion. This is not because she has meanness flowing through her veins; it is just that she can’t give up on anything. Especially if it is something that she truly wants. Taking on some of her great great grandmother’s stubbornness and magnifying it has made her what others call, pigheaded.
Another flaw that Arabella has is that she just cannot seem to accept herself as she is now. She has glorious large wings that carry her far as well as a hoof of bone that is beautiful in its own way, but she needs flames. Ever since she was little she has wanted the power that the flames have brought her mother. The power to make others stop and stare as well as to be a little fearful of what she may do should they cross her. Arabella so desperately wants to be a strong and powerful mare that she doesn’t realize she already is just because of her inner strength and dedication. This attitude has also isolated her from others because she will argue with them when they give her compliments. Always focused on wanting to make herself better than she already is, she refuses to see that she is already wonderful.
Arabella is not a bad mare though; she is not evil in any way and doesn’t do things to intentionally hurt others. She just sometimes allows her stubbornness too much leeway and ends up saying things she doesn’t mean. Otherwise she has a wonderful heart, though she can be a little self-absorbed at times, but it isn’t hard to see the mounds of potential she has beneath the surface, if only someone could dig it up.
History: A flickering green glow lit her path into this world, shining through brighter and brighter as her ears were assailed with the popping of wicker weaves. Chilled air forced a gasp from her lungs as she exploded into the world beneath a night sky blazing with stars and a watchful full moon. Blinking, she forced her burning red eyes to focus on the two figures looming over her. One was very strong in appearance with ginormous mounds protruding from its back, and the other emitted the glow that had guided her here. Both looked down upon her, an evident twinkle shining in both of their eyes as they greeted their first child for the very first time. She would soon come to know them as her mother and father, but for now only knew them as voices she had heard whispering to her whilst in her basket. Their gazes moved from her to another basket beside her own that was now splitting as hers had, but her eyes never left the dancing beam of green light that had first awoken her.
As she managed to take her first steps and learn the names of each thing around her she still could not rid herself of the green flames that first filled her thoughts. Not only were they beautiful beyond belief but they also were a testament to an unusual kind of power. Though they were lovely to look upon she had seen them scorch the earth with every step her mother took, seen them singe her father, and inspire looks of fear as well as awe from everyday passerby’s. She desired them. She wanted those looks to be directed at her, wanted the power to singe things as her mother had. But all she had that was even remotely close to her mother’s flames was one boney hoof called a ‘special’ hoof by her long lost uncle Tannin Nox. But in that same conversation he had planted an idea in her head, one that would prove to direct her through much of her life.
He had suggested that perhaps that hoof would burst into flame, something she desperately desired. Even so, she knew that one lousy flaming hoof would not be enough. She wanted all of them to burn so brightly they would make her mother’s hooves look like little more than mere fireflies. Growing impatient she asked her mother if she could give her the flames, if she could perhaps ignite her legs but the answer was a crushing and resounding no. At this point she had become obsessed and had begun to attempt to compensate for what she considered a weakness by acting like somewhat of a bully. Demanding respect from each foal she interacted with. This attitude granted her few friends and even isolated her from her own brother.
When her mother could no longer cope with Arabella’s worsening behavior she asked her great great grandda, Callan, a very skilled knight, to take her and train her to see that true power came from the heart. She would learn from one of the best how to be a true knight, and it was her family’s hope that she would eventually learn that she was astonishing just the way she was.

 This is where all of the plots I have dreamed up for Arabella are kept, they will be grayed out upon completion. Even if you do not see something to your liking here, please feel free to propose plots of your own.
Quite the Handful: (Family plot) This is where Amelia will begin to realize just how obsessed her daughter is with getting flames of her own. Regardless of what Amelia says or does, Arabella will not take no as an answer. In response to this Amelia decides to take advantage of family tradition, as well as her newly renewed bond with Callan, to try and turn her daughter around. She will, with Erchan's agreement, send Arabella to live with and train under her knightly grandfather.
True Beauty and Power comes from within: (Family plot) Callan will not go easy on his grandaughter and she will learn the in's and out's of being a knight. She will endure difficult training, as well as a few battle scars, to try and figure out what it means to accept yourself and accept that power comes from within, not from flames on your hooves.
Friendship with the Petals of Love: During her training I think it would be fantastic if Arabella were to befriend a usidia stallion. At first he will just be her only friend, because he is the only one who can put up with her, then he will begin to feel more strongly for her. She will not return the feelings and will likely not even know they exist, but he remains devoted. Listening to her, telling her she is great the way she is, and being an overall sweet stallion.
This is Useless: Arabella will complete her training but she will feel as though she has learned nothing. Sure, she is an excellent fighter now, but that didn't get her any closer to achieving her goal. Disillusioned and angry she will set off on her own, leaving her grandfather, to find a way to prevail regardless of what the cost is.
I Will Not Leave Your Side: Arabella's mini friend decides to join her on her quest, always trying to show her that she does not need the flames to be complete. That she is perfect as is, and should be happy with what she has. She will not be warm to him but, as mentioned before, he will put up with it because he sees redemption for her and he loves her.
Bigger and Better: Along their travels and many misadventures, Arabella will encounter a full sized stallion. Once again, it must be someone willing to put up with her crappy attitude for a little while. She will spend time with him, but always feel drawn away in order to complete her goal. She cannot love herself and therefore cannot love another, but this stallion sees past her flaws and into her otherwise warm heart. At this point it would be great if her usidia friend was in a few jealous rps where he can allow his snide comments to muscle in.
Striking up a Deal: Tired of searching and dreaming, Arabella will seek out a soquili with power. She will make a deal with them in which they are to give her the flames she so desires and she will do whatever is asked of her in return.
Harsh Words and Hurt Feelings: Her Usidia best friend will be against the idea of her putting herself in harms way. This is where he will draw the line and stand up to her. This will not go over well as Arabella will not take kindly to being told her goal is a silly one. As such they will end up having a fight and her friend will end up leaving her. She will push him too far until she pushes him away.
I Can't See You do This: The stallion who has developed feelings for her will also be against this idea. She will feel ganged up on by the two she most trusted and end up arguing with him as well. At this point he will leave, difficult as it is. He will not see her get hurt over this but he knows he can't stop her. Even so, he tells her that once she learns to love and accept herself to come find him because he will be waiting for her.
Stubborn: Though she has literally lost everything, Arabella continues her quest. She finds who she is looking for and the deal is struck. Arabella does what the magic wielder wants only to end up being played. She holds up her end of the bargain but the other cheats her. Worse even is when the one she made the deal with dismisses her dream and tells her it is impossible regardless of where she goes or who she deals with.
Loss: Both of her friends are gone, one she realizes was a really great friend and the other perhaps a little more. Realizing now that her dream was impossible to begin with she seeks out her Usidia friend, hoping he will accept her and help her to right herself. She finds him with his lovely mate but this does not deter her from attempting to make peace and ask for help. The Usidia will agree and will help her learn why she is wonderful, even without flames. She will eventually see how her grandfather's teachings could have given her these answers long ago had she just listened.
The Heart Grows Fonder: After fixing herself, Arabella will search for the stallion who she realizes she has loved since meeting him. In this they will reunite and lifemate. She may have a fling before this but it all depends on where the story heads and who the stallion is.
Reunion: Arabella will reconnect with her family, apologizing to her grandfather and honoring him as she should have, apologizing to her mother and father, and mainly just making ammends. This will also be the point where the family can meet her love and perhaps even the Usidia friend too, should he be willing.

I like how you have this set up, your plots all look really interesting!  I'd like to throw Xiuhcoatl (I've been pronouncing it Shee-wah-co-ah-tl in my head ^-^) 'Xi' for short, out there for your consideration as Arabella's best friend. I haven't had a chance to really develop him the way I'd like to, but perhaps that will just make him more flexible to go with the plots. He is part of the Yectenua herd by birth, led by Mind's Cuahcoatl and Tiro's Ikinya, a mini/regular pairing so I think he would be more open to the idea of developing feelings for a regular sized mare. I've always seen him as being kind of soft spoken and introspective, smart and whatever the soquili equivalent of bookish would be. His adoptive grandfather is the angeni of learning and he had embraced that as a lifestyle. There are so many different personalities and types of soquili in his herd and family that I think he would have had to learn to be more tolerant of others idiosyncrasies. And growing up with his own mutation and rather intimidating appearance would mean he wouldn't really bat an eyelash at her own. I could see him being a voice of reason in Arabella's emotional search for her flames and trying to convince her that she is beautiful the ways she is! I'm also slower than usual rping due to all the stuff in my sig, so the pace isn't an issue for me, I'm generally good for a reply every couple days even if things really pick up though ^-^
