Apparently a group of christian parent's are fighting an anti-bullying law. Saying that their god-loving children should not only be allowed to bully gay children... but it should be encouraged to do so. Welcome to the great U.S. of A. Here's the article that I read that is more in depth... but I was just wondering what your thoughts were on this matter?

I Government Hooker I SimpleJellyfish I had a nice long ranting article ready to post but I thought better of it and deleted it. It's better to leave the intolerance of the intolerant out. Don't let this news scare you, it's common sense to see this is wrong, and the people making the decisions will see that and they will dismiss this group of crazy people. My prayers go to their kids though, may they be enlightened to act better in a civilized society, may they be better than the example set by their parents. It's not that I'm scared of this, because like you I'm hoping the people have some heart and will just dismiss this. But the fact is that they're never going to stop and the government may never take things like this seriously. Because even if they do have morals they think the GLBT community is immoral. When really, we're the people who fight for equality and they fight to keep all the Discrimination in the world and encourage it. I'm pissed not afraid. I've had my backpack lit on fire while it was on my back and a fractured jaw because of people like this... so to see that people woud actually encourage all of this is beyond just immoral ingornace in my opinion. As for their kids I highly doubt they would "Lower" themselves to talk to someone, even if it did give them a new and better perspective... But again my opinion. I didn't mean to be rude if I was, I sincerily apologize.
It's cool, I understand your viewpoint entirely as it shares many similarities to my own. Though I'm sorry to hear about how you've been treated in the past, that's truly horrible. I think "scare" was the wrong word, meant upset.
