I just recently got into modding and I am so happy about it that I wanted to talk about it because my game is ******** gorgeous now and has so much ******** cool stuff in it.

My Dead Thralls keep disappearing.

But Forsworn are easy to replace.

Installed three mods to make the game look kinda good, two don't even work.
Got any idea where I could get some working HD mods, and some that'll fix some of the mistakes like the awful level-scaling, will balance magic, maybe make the different dungeons look different, fix the dragon-encounter rate after fast-travel and the chickens code so that they don't count as humans anymore?

I'm bitter and frustrated when it comes to this game. Everyone said it would be so great. And they all, they all lied.

I am using these and recommend all of them.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=607 I use this but hardly notice it. When I do look though it is nice.

Also if you don't already have them

I have a few others too, if you want.

If you don't like the game now, I doubt you'll like it by adding these mods unless your issue is pretty much just with the balance. I actually play on Master now. Makes it a lot more tense in fights.

It's a Bethesda game. You can mod those to Oblivion (hahaHAH) and back, making them almost entirely different games. Even if you hate the original there's a possibility you'll love a modded one. And if I have the game I might as well mod it to hell and get at least some enjoyment out of it (even though I'm still mad it got GOTY over Arkham City or Deus Ex.. If that was released the same year, I don't remember).
So thanks a lot, Scott! I'll probably install them all. Though I have the ones for flora, water, and HD textures already but they refused to really work.

I've found that the mods won't work if you have other mods on that change them. If you have the HiResTextures from Bethesda, you need to turn those off if you want the others to work. I've also seen recommendations to save your Data folder vanilla so you can replace it if you happen to want to remove texture mods and such.

I actually did not care for Deus Ex. It's alright, but eh... I just couldn't get too into it. Arkham City I can't say, haven't played it. Looks good as ******** though. I've spent 80 hours on Skyrim though, and the mods definitely enhance it for me. The lighting mod I linked REALLY helps set the mood for me. I never had to use the Night Vision perk till I got the mod. It definitely pulls me into the game.

... OBLIVION I GET IT.

I just couldn't really get to be a useless waste of human resource and just play Deus Ex Human Revolution all day because I wanted to finish other games beforehand.
Adam Jensen, however, is my husbando.
The first impression that game made on me was so stellar that there is no way I won't love it. Those gun-sounds, those gun-designs, that attention to detail, those rewards for exploration, those e-mails, that stealth-gameplay, those possibilities, that yellow filter that I actually like, that main character, that struggle he goes through which meets a rare trope that I have the biggest raging boner for, those aesthetics, that soundtrack, those designs.

As for Skyrim, again, I'll have to see how I'll like it after mutilating it with mods. It's sad that modding seems.. almost required to really enjoy it, though.
And dear god this game has spawned some of the worst "jokes" the internet has seen in a long time.
