I just had a close encounter with a huge snapping turtle. biggrin He was sitting in a busy parking lot very close to the swamp. There was a small crowd of people but they were too afraid to move him...they were going to call the cops! Pfff the cops aren't going to come rescue a snapper and animal control in our area only wants to deal with domestic animals. I decided I had to take care of it. I picked him up and put him in a shopping cart because he was so big that was the only way I could move him! My husband followed me in the car so I could use his headlights to see what I was doing. We found the gap in the fence between the parking lot & the swamp that he probably came through but when I went to lift him out of the cart he had hooked his nails into the cart! We tried everything to get him to let go, but eventually we decided we had to turn over the cart to get him out. We did it really slowly as not to hurt him. Finally he let go and I picked him up and put him through the gap in the fence. We blocked the opening with the cart so he would go the right way and not just come back into the parking lot. He was pretty mad but he was safe xd I live for stuff like this. I got to do a good deed & had fun doing it mrgreen
