This is where all Demons spend no less than three years in service to the Realm. They are trained in combat to help with the defense of the Realm and given a thorough education in many things. At the end of their three year term they can choose from a number of jobs or make the military their career...

Current status:
The army is at full capacity and has never looked as grand. Lareth had decided it was time to make the realms forces something to be reckoned with. No one would laugh at the Demonic army any more.

Gypsy had finally come to the training fort, a place where she felt welcomed for her skills and comfortable. She'd been asked by the commander to help him out with some fresh trainees and was currently drilling them with their swords. She knew they should have known the moves by now and was ruthless in correcting them, knowing full well that they'd get upset over the corrections but would accept them.

After the regular drills, she separated them out for other practices. some went to the archery range, others moved on to dagger training. One or two showed a great deal of promise with the sword so they got extra training with her.

She worked with them one at a time, using the usual taunts to encourage them to work harder and better while getting them used to controlling their tempers during a fight.

She was as hard on them as she was Lareth, holding her strikes back just enough to leave bruises instead of killing blows or slices, letting them learn from her instead of measuring their length along the ground.

She finally dismissed them all to shower and eat and moved herself on to her own personal training, working out her emotions through working with sword and dagger then with bow and axe.

As the others had gone off to do other bits of training and then head to the showers, two demons came into the fort. One tall female and a mid-size male. The female seemed to look around in interest while the male beside her looked sullen and was arguing with the female companion.

"I don't care if he doesn't accept me. I am already a man and frankly, I do not see the use in swordplay. I grow weary of this training you insist on making me take. When am I actually going to put these skills to use?"

The taller female beside him stopped and looked to him.

"And I don't care if you don't like the training. I will not have some soft handed son who knows not how to defend himself. The training will teach you how to keep some stronger....partners at bay, teach you discipline and focus, which you lack, and it will make him proud to know his son is a well rounded demon."

The female spotted Gypsy and stared for a moment before she walked over.

"Excuse me.....are you Lady Gypsy?"

Gypsy sheathed her sword at her back in a fluid movement and turned to the female with a nod, "Just Gypsy, please. I never had titles before I came here and I'm not used to them," she said simply as she looked the both of them over carefully.

She could tell the woman was a Succubus, the male's features marking him as her son and a budding Incubus. She could also tell by the boys sullen expression that he didn't want to be here and easily saw what he thought of weapons training.

She ignored him for the moment and turned back to the female, ignoring the fact that the woman made her look simple in beauty. At least Lareth had seen to the basic containment of her demonic half despite the allure she'd carry permanently.

She gave the female a nod of respect, "What can I do for you?" she asked as she pushed a lock of her fiery red hair behind one ear and wiped at the small bit of sweat that had gathered across her forehead with the back of her arm.

She was wearing simple fighting leathers today; basic bustier, leather pants tucked into knee-high boots, all in a basic brown leather without embellishments aside from the sword at her back and the two daggers strapped to one thigh. She preferred to keep herself simple these days, not wanting to attract potential mates for a while. Not until she was ready...

The female bowed her horned head in respect to Gypsy and spoke getting to the point.

"King Lareth suggested we get extra training from you. He is a bit busy as of late and he said if I wanted grueling training that would and could even whip my son into shape, I should seek you out."

She gave a slight glance behind her at her son who seemed to be ignoring them both. She leaned in.

"Besides....the king said you could turn my daisy of a son into someone respectable with the sword. I know it is much to ask, but I want him to know how to handle himself with rough partners and to at least show his father, he is someone who is fully rounded."

She stepped back and bowed holding out her sword in offering to show she wanted the training.

"Please...will you educate us?"

Gypsy gave the woman a respectful nod then gestured to the boy, "Let me test his skills first. I'm fairly certain that you will need only a basic refresher course. I'll gladly take the boy on. It will be a good distraction from trouncing and beating on the soldiers," she said simply and moved back from them both.

There were plenty of benches for the woman to sit on and relax while she tested the boy. She drew her sword, her focus on him and his sullen expression, "Come then, boy... Show me what you can do... If Lareth has taken any kind of interest in you then show me that he has cause for it. I know for a fact that he's sent one Incubus over to the human realm to protect a friend of his. Your skills in bedsport won't keep you from a fight to protect yourself or your lovers. Unless you plan to join some woman's harem to be pampered and spoiled," she said to him, deliberately taunting him into attacking her.

She knew the woman would understand what she was doing and wouldn't interfere. Besides, the boy had to learn that others wouldn't still their tongues from taunting him or even lashing out at him at times.

He looked her over, golden eyes flashing. She was trying to goad him!

He stood there relaxed, one hand on the hilt of his sword, the other stopping a yawn.

He was just slightly taller than her, black hair with a streak of red in it.

"Well of course I plan to be pampered and spoiled. I do not mind hanging around a harem. I get what I need and so does the one who takes me into a harem.

Besides, I dislike women who talk down to me when they cannot even take care of themselves."

He looked right at her to drive his point home about how lame she looked.

Gypsy raised one eyebrow at him and grinned, "Oh really?" she asked him softly, her voice dropping into the seductively teasing tone she knew full well his mother could use to perfection and started to walk towards him, her hips swaying enticingly as she let her demonic side out just a bit. Not fully. If she were to let it out fully, only Lareth could contain it again.

No, she let it out just enough to let him know exactly how enticing she could be if she wanted to, just enough to make him think twice about insulting a woman holding a sword, "I will wager you that I've had more offers in the last week than you've had in the last year, boy... I'll also tell you here and now that men kept in a harem are required under royal law to be able to protect themselves and the one they bind themselves to..." she told him as she circled him slowly, letting him get a whiff of her scent, knowing the exact effect it would have on one so young and foolish.

"No female worth her salt would consider you as you are now... You're at best a toy, something to be used then thrown away when the new wears off... You're weak physically, certainly no challenge to a female who prefers her bed partners to be strong enough to take them instead of waiting on a whim... You're supposed to be a demon of desire... Yet you desire nothing, know nothing of a woman's real desires... You're a puppy trying to play at being a hellhound..." she whispered to him teasingly as she moved around him sensually, enticingly.

With her last words though, she used the flat of her sword to knock his leg out from under him, dropping him to the dirt on his precious a** as she moved back towards his mother and the soldiers who had started to gather. All of them were looking at Gypsy like she was a piece of candy they were dying to taste. But all of them knew better than to offer, knowing how badly she could beat them. A demon female needed a male stronger than herself in her life, something to challenge her and to be able to protect her.

She pushed her demonic half back down and gave the woman a respectful bow and a smile, "Why don't we let him sit on his a** as he likes for a bit while I see where your skills need work, milady? I do apologize for neglecting you," she said softly, keeping the words light and teasing, "I'd suggest enlisting the boy in the guard, but he probably wouldn't survive a single day," she added, gesturing to the other guards over her shoulder with the tip of her sword, "They'd eat him alive proving that they were stronger than he is," she couldn't resist that last taunt to the boy as she prepared to test the woman's skills.

As her presence changed and he felt the demonic aura about her flare up, he glared harder at her. She was trying to use her sexual prowess on him and he didn't like it. Well it's not like he didn't like it, but he was not about to have her enticing any sort of odd stirrings in him.

No....he was to give off those feelings. Not her.

Hearing her insulting him had him bristling and soon he was on his a** in the dirt. She bested him quickly and made him look like a fool. He got up and dusted himself off as she walked away.

"Turn around woman! We are not done yet!"

His mother who had just gotten up to practice with Gypsy stopped and looked at him then at Gypsy.

"Do we ignore him?"

Gypsy glanced at him as he dusted himself off then shook her head as she looked back at his mother and considered the possibilities, finally giving a grin, "I have a better idea," she said simply and turned to the watching soldiers, "Garu!" she called out simply.

A lean and lanky soldier trotted over to her, halting a few steps away and gave her a nod of respect, "The boy apparently has reconsidered testing his skills with me. Check the lady's skills for me. Don't hold back with her, she won't thank you for it," she told him with a wink, gaining a grin from him as he moved to get one of the practice blades, "And Commander, remember to be polite or you'll wind up on the ground like you did yesterday," she added, making him blush as he checked to make sure that his 'protection' was still in place. He did have plans to have children someday, after all.

He gave the woman a bow of respect, "Milady..." he said politely to her and invited her forward.

Gypsy finally turned back to the boy and approached him, "You were saying, boy?" she asked him with one raised eyebrow at his attitude, "Do I sheath my sword or do we cross blades? Have you finally found your courage through embarrassment or will you walk away to leave your mother mourning your corpse later on?" she added that last one deliberately, knowing full well that it was possible.

The mother nodded to Garu and thanked him for his assistance before both took a stance and began to circle one another.

If anything could be said of her son, it was the fact that he could hold his sword right and if he applied himself, he could be a swift fighter with his size and frame.

"If you have to ask about whether or not you should sheath your sword or cross blades you are more ignorant than you look."

He readied himself and took up a defensive position. Something he had learned recently and was actually good at.

Garu actually had a hard time keeping up with the lady but did his best, readily admiring her skills as they sparred.

Meanwhile, Gypsy didn't give the boy any warning as she went on the attack, forcing him to defend himself as she chased him across the grounds. She made sure to use her left hand, though, not wanting to actually hurt him. As it was, she managed to get a few hits in with the flat of her blade that she knew he'd be feeling later.

His arrogance finally wound itself out and he finally started trying to go on the attack. When he got that far, she started calling out pointers that were followed up with another slap from the flat of her sword, "Get that arm up... Why do you have the other arm up like that? What are we doing, playing? It'll get sliced right off if you keep it up like that... Never thrust, boy, slice instead. Wear your opponent out by bleeding him... The goal is to make them run away from you or die, not laugh at you. Now get that leg back where it goes..." she called out, each one gaining him a painful reminder then a sound of encouragement when he followed through by doing it right.

She finally ended the bout just as Garu's sword went flying to land in the dirt next to the boy while the fort's commander held his stinging hand and swore roundly. Gypsy gave the boy a nod and turned to his mother with a nod, "He'll do. Have him come by for about four hours each day and I'll work with him. Basic escort will be all that he'll need to get here. As for you, if you can get Garu to swear like that, you don't need any new skills. Just get a good sparring partner. I'd suggest either your husband or one of the trained Incubbi. They'll hire themselves out for weapons sparring only if the contract is good enough," she told her then held a hand out to the boy with a serious face.

"As for you... I'll teach you... I'll teach you to survive, to defend yourself. But you'll have to put the work in for it. You've actually got some promise to you. I won't coddle you or baby you. You'll work with me and have the bruises to show for it. After the sword, I'll teach you dagger. Dagger's harder to learn but better for smaller spaces and not something an enemy will expect you to know. Now go hit the shower and get changed then come back here for your schedule. Garu will show you the way," she told him firmly, showing him no sympathy but giving him encouragement at the same time.

Then she moved to his mother to work out the boy's schedule, knowing she'd get to shower later on.

He swore as he was he was battered and insulted from all sides. Lareth's defensive teachings did nothing to help him much.

Damn king must have lied about being adept at defense. Damn him....

When it was all over he said nothing to the red haired demon in front of him as she offered to help him up. He rolled away ignoring her help and picked himself up. It was then he was shoved hard as Garu shoved him towards the barracks where the showers were.

He glared at the bigger demon who simply glared back.

As he walked off to shower he received hostile looks and slight growls from the other troops. He ignored them and walked with his head high.

"I am sorry about Tamlin.....his father spoiled him a bit too much when he was younger...."

Gypsy shook her head at the woman and smiled, "It's alright. I'll get it out of him in the end. So will the other soldiers. Better he learn with them watching than his mother, if you can understand what I mean. I was hard on him today. Stung his pride. I can tell that Lareth has worked with him, though, and that saved him from a few more bruises. He'll learn," she told her softly as she sheathed her sword and collected the one Galu had lost.

She wiped that blade down and put it back with the others as the rest of the soldiers left with Tamlin for the showers, "I'd almost recommend that you instal him here for the duration of his training with me, but he's not ready for it yet. I'll give it another day or two before I suggest it. At that point, he'll be ready to give up on all of this and try to run away from it. So we'll n** that one before he gets there by moving him down here. Probably be better if his father dropped him off that day, though. It would reinforce that he doesn't have much choice in it," she added, doing her best not to envy the woman her son, however spoiled he was.

"I will tell his father this. I think he will agree with you. I know I do."

She crossed her arms under her boobs and she looked over Gyspy a smile on her face.

" Putting him on the defensive and swatting him like you did had him putting forth more effort than I have seen in a long while. Thank you. I can only teach him so much and I do want him to become respectable."

She looked a bit concerned when Gypsy mentioned having him dropped off by his father.

"I will ask his father to drop him off, but he may not considering our relationship is a secret and he has not wanted anyone to treat his son with any bit of special treatment.....but perhaps he will see your point and will come."
