Well I'm an anime freak so I watch and read yuri occasionally and I've seen the L Word and Queer as Folk. I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for movies or TV series that are LGBT related.

I believe there are a bunch of suggestions in this slightly older thread that fell off the front page.

The guild isn't that fast-moving, so there's no need to revive the old one. smile New input is always nice, you know?

To reiterate what I said in the other thread, C.R.A.Z.Y. is my favourite LGBT-themed movie. As for shows, I suppose I liked Will & Grace, but that's about it. Never been a fan of Queer as Folk or The L Word.

I vaguely remember seeing a French film a few years ago called Come Undone (Presque Rien), that was kind of interesting, too. Water Lilies (Naissance des Pieuvres) wasn't really all that great, but I've been told I should watch Lilies. (Sorry for all the French-language cinema. xD)

I watched a French film called "Notre Paradis" a few weekends ago. It was incredibly difficult to find and truth be told it kind of really sucked. Nevertheless I enjoyed watching it. If you don't mind homosexual prostitutes, creepy old men, and murder then you might enjoy it.

One show I really like is Brothers & Sisters. It doesn't focus solely on gay characters, but there are at least 3 prominent characters who are gay that I can think of, and issues common to the LGBT community do come up quite a bit. One thing I really liked is that the gay characters are treated similarly to everyone else, and the show does not shy away from them; for example, the gay characters are seen kissing just as often as their straight counterparts.

And on an unrelated note, my dreams tonight will likely be haunted by that bulbasaur.

None, to be honest. I watch shows that have LGBT characters in them; does that count?

"Tomboy" is a great french movie about a little girl struggling to fit in as a boy. I'd highly recommend it to any trans people looking for something good to watch.
