Open once again, this time with a sexy, sexy crew of more than three people! XD I'm going to recycle as much as I can of my own writing until we surpass the abrupt end of the previous incarnation =3 I liked my character's development, so I want to keep some of it. Closin' her down, folks, due to a lack of interest. Personally, I think I've just been out of the game for too long. I can't relate to you youngsters anymore, I guess. XP Oh, and just in case something miraculously sparks new interest in this puppy, I'll need to hear from every player before I open it back up. It was fun while it lasted, though, right? xd

The Setup
We're looking at an alternate history of the Victorian Era.

The Briton Empire has taken power, and rules much of Europe with an iron fist. The areas surrounding the Empire are barren wastelands created by the Empire's Godforsaken weapon, the atom bomb.
However, beyond these wastelands lies "smooth sailing" to the rest of the world, allowing for trade. Thus the Empire sustains itself, until such a time that it can rise up to take control of everything.

There is hope, however. While the Empire itself is not evil, there are those who believe that its heads of power are grossly misguided. These brave citizen soldiers are known as the Usurpers, and will stop at nothing to ensure that Europe becomes free again, like its daughter across the sea.

Atomic theory is dabbled with in this reality; that is what gave the Empire its frightening advantage over its enemies. The brightest and best of the Britons have found a way to turn the terrible power of the a-bombs into something useful: the reactor.

Since reactor stations have to move with the villages that use them, and wander in search of more fertile land, they were affixed to great steam-powered walking armor. It would not be long before this is applied to military use.

--Rüstung--

Player characters will fight primarily with these giant walking machines, known as Rüstung. They are compact nuclear reactors powering a combination of steam-driven and electric apparatuses. They are mostly humanoid in shape, and armament is problematic, but not impossible. Please to keep tech period-correct, guys!! =D

--Rules--
Of course, our technology, aside from atomic theory, is nestled firmly in the Victorian Era. I think you guys won't have any trouble, though.

Be courteous and be fair, but you already know that.

I'm going to employ my new PvP combat dealio from the asylum, and we'll see how it goes. If you lose, your machine will be heavily damaged, consistent with your last fight, and it'll have to be repaired. And I don't mean instantly, either.

There'll be no character death, unless the player just needs to kill their character. xd

Gaia Name: Silas Parrish
Character Name: William Cruxely
Character Appearance: Very tall and thin, with iron-grey hair, despite his youth. Wears rags worthy of peasants, but carries a solid gold pocketwatch, robbed from his murdered master. Has a long, thin nose and small, beady eyes that never stop shifting. His face is completely free of hair.
Brief Character History: Was a watch-maker's apprentice before becoming exposed to the possibilities of Walker Machines. Built one of his own with a stolen reactor, and hopes to garner enough support to take over the Empire and rule it himself.
Mecha Name: Brazen Rüstung
Description of Mecha: About 18 feet tall, constructed from heavy iron and accented with a brass clock gear motif. Currently mounts no weaponry save an adapted Nordenfelt gun, but strikes fear in the hearts of enemies walking only on legs of flesh.

Gaia Name: Silas Parrish
Character Name: Henry Ezekiel Underwood
Character Appearance: Tall, and well-built. Speaks with an unashamed Southern accent. Has pale blue eyes--the mark of an excellent marksman-- and short black hair, which is normally concealed by a wide-brimmed hat. Has a square jaw, exhibits a clean-shaven face. Bears a scar in the form of the "evil eye" on his hand, due to a run-in with Aishe before allying himself with the mysterious woman.
Brief Character History: An American gunslinger, in the employ of Aishe. Has been commissioned to seek out and stop William, if he proves to become a threat. Was given a Walker Machine by the Empire, in order to preserve its ideals and combat the growing issue of the Usurpers. Believes strongly in the ideals of American politician Abraham Lincoln. Often finds himself at odds with his fellow Caucasian southerners, due to his belief that slavery is an abomination before man and God.
Mecha Name: Lincoln Rüstung
Description of Mecha: Appears short and stocky, is very heavily armored in the front, but not so much in the back, demonstrating Zeke's policy of "never run away." Carries two scaled-up version of Colt revolvers, and a hidden howitzer within the chest plating.

Gaia Name: Ty Gwynnia
Character Name: Raphael Xander
Character Appearance: Stands at about 5'6". He has shaggy black hair ruffled up and pointing in random directions. Pale-ish skin, though he gets plenty of sun. Wears a open white button-down shirt with a white undershirt and sleeves rolled up to the elbows, a dark brown leather belt, black pants, and black shoes. Also wears black tinted spectacles, the rectangular kind, and a two sided black and white crescent moon necklace. His spectacles hide his true eye color, making them look grayish. He also has a Scottish accent.
Brief Character History: A drifter, really. Takes contracts or requests for any person willing to pay. Fascinated with the new Walker machines. Managed to bribe a researcher into giving him one. Decided to help the public with tasks that they were too small or weak to do with his new Walker, but still wanted to be paid.
Mecha Name: Fatum Rüstung
Description of Mecha: Stands at around 17 and a half feet tall. Made from the generic heavy iron and sports a carved moon shape on the front, arms on the side, and back of it. It's current weapon is a large and heavy church spire cross, which, *a-herm*, dropped from the top of a church being built. There's a silver spike on the top end of it for jabbing.
Affiliation: Usurpers
Other notes: Has connections, both with the underground and with the higher-ups on the safe side of the law. Also keeps a mysterious secret, pertaining to a small, still voice. As such, some people who meet him believe that he may be "hearing voices".

Gaia Name: Ty Gwynnia
Character Name: Erick Vineheld
Character Appearance: Around 5'8". His bright red hair has grown out a few inches from where it had been cut military style. Bright sky blue eyes look often distanced. He has a slight stubble always present on his face, no matter what. Wears a crisp white shirt, fading black pants, dirty black shoes, and a royal blue militaristic mini cape across his shoulders, draping from high up on his left shoulder to his right elbow, dull pins holding on for dear life onto the fading color of the cloth.
Brief Character History: Erick grew up with loving parents and a younger sister. He was brought up in a not so strict household, with 4 other siblings following his sister Amy in the following years. His father was in the Royal Guard, so Erick often watched him working on his Walker in their hangar-like area of the house in the back, a new machine quickly becoming popular. When he left his school early to help make ends meet, he decided to join the Royal Guard shortly after his father's unexpected death. He and his sister Amy stayed in their childhood home when their mother and other siblings moved to a new city. Erick and Amy are both close and trusting friends with a man they met during their respective duties, calling him X rather than his actual name.
Mecha Name: Jay Rüstung
Description of Mecha: Only 16 foot, though it's slight in build and structure. It's reminiscent of the standard Royal Guardsmen Walkers, but modified thanks to the his mechanical sister Amy. It uses an enlarged and more deadly version of a morning star, the spikes a good 3 feet long. It also carries the usual one shot rifle that the other Royal Guard models do, but with a modified barrel and a short bayonet on the end for jabbing.
Affiliation: Royal Guard
Other notes: Has a strong sense of duty and loyalty to the crown, but is a little naive. Will do anything, within the bounds of the law of course, to achieve his ends.

Gaia Name: Silas Parrish
Character Name: Aishe Viollca Luminitsa
Character Appearance: A young Gypsy woman, appearing to be around the age of 25. She is slight of body, with exotic clothing and even more exotic manners. Possesses "the evil eye," and can use it for a variety of supernatural purposes. Also seems to possess a degree of supernatural strength. (exhibited by walking barefoot on glass with no apparent injury, bending the minds of others to her will, and stopping Walker Machines with but a touch.)
Brief Character History: Her motives are unknown. Little is known of her past, but she has encountered most of the other characters at one time or another during her travels. She seems to hold knowledge of what lies beyond the veil of this world. Aishe has shown that she has met or at least known of at least three otherwordly people: Silas Parrish the fighter pilot, John Silenus the mobile suit mogul, and Derreisende the world-traveler. Her name is a Romani phrase meaning "The living violet light."

Gaia Name: Orcus Fieres
Character Name: Ædon Littner
Character Appearance: Ædon has medium length, burgundy-red hair and almond-brown eyes. He has a thin physique and relaxed demeanor; he also a slight oral fixation. Because of this he usually has a cigarette or some sort of twig in his mouth even though he doesn't smoke. Ædon wears a slight flame motif on his tunic and coat and around the legs of his pants. Standing straight up, he's a tall six feet, three inches in height.
Brief Character History: Littner was born of a noble family in the Iberian Peninsula which joined under the rule of Briton. He grew up loving science and once the reactor was developed he went at it with as much of his family's resources as they allowed him. After a time he developed his own mech and reactor-run system. He patented it and is now selling it across the Briton Empire. He travels in his mech, showing off the "SafeReactor" sytem and allowing his pockets to fill with money as he does.
Mecha Name: The base model is one of his own design: SafeReactor-R1A13 (Rustung-1-Alpha-13), but he built upon it and developed his mech far beyond the base model. He calls it Crock-Shot; a play on Davy Crockett's name (a famous marksman and politician).
Description of Mecha: The Crock-Shot is a heavily armoured Rustung, a necessity for the long distance travel that Littner does. Littner equipped his Rustung with heavy pod shields for when it's necessary and re-adjustable amrour pieces for either easier movement or better defence in raids and riots, but his nobility also plays into his systems. Littner added small fans and cooling coils to his Rustung which allows for easy cooling along his journey. To move all these bits and pieces, Littner was forced to add two extra reactors which, even with his advanced systems, means that over heating is a big problem.

Character Name: Leon Conner
Character Appearance: 6 feet tall, Bluish-Gray eyes, short black hair, slightly built muscle tone, clean shave face, sporting a royal blue military decorative jacket, plain white undershirt, black dress pants, black dress shoes.
Brief Character History: Leon was a London alley kid that had tough times growing up without a dad, but with the help of his mother he was able to get through up until his teenage years. In his high school a representative for the Royal Army of England came in his class and talked about the Royal Army and that inspired him to become a Royal Guard. When he was finally the appropriate age to enter in the Royal Army it changed dramatically as they were now using walking machines that are like humans only mechanical and have weapons. So he went through the training to become the pilot of what they called a Rüstung robot and he passed with flying colors and had a natural talent to using the Rüstung and thus he became a Royal Guard and has became a decorated Guard thus has a high position in the Royal Guard.
Mecha Name: Shining Star Rüstung
Description of Mecha: About 20 feet tall, made out of finished iron metal, certain gears and belts make up the means for the Rüstung to move, organized control panel and has a single eye window in the shape of a v, blue and white paint on the body in order to represent peace and order, weapons included were a sword made in the form of normal British soldier swords but made big for a Rüstung for his left hand, a big version of the single shot rifle mounted in the Rüstung's right arm and Leon makes a special higher caliber than normal for the gun with ammo boxes stored in the right arm, managed to fit a cannon in the middle of the chest and stays hidden until needed but only can be used once then has to be reloaded manually (last resort weapon).

Character Name: Aaron Duce
Character Appearance: About 6 foot and slim with a slight muscle build. Has medium length black hair and a stern face. Wear a black gentleman's coat as a mock to the society that he loathes, under the coat is a black shirt along with black ragged pants and messed up gentleman's shoes.
Brief Character History: As a orphan living on the streets of London he always come to hate the attitude and overall way of the higher ups in society. He tried to become better around nobles and such but always got turned down, laughed at, and in worst cases assaulted upon. When he became an adult he found out about the new humanoid machines called Rüstungs and thought that was how he would get back at noble society. Then later he heard of the rebellion group called the Usurpers and he decided to enter into that group. Now he has his own Rüstung and is going along with the boss's plan for change.
Mecha Name: Demon Rüstung
Description of Mecha: About 22 feet tall, constructed from heavy iron and regular bass clock gear. Has a single shot rifles mounted on the top and bottom part of the left arm. Has chain hooks installed in the other arm that he uses for melee combat. Also uses a giant cleaver for sword fighting.

Character Name: Alastair Robertson
Character Appearance: About 6 feet, 2 inches tall. Barrel-chested and well built. Shoulder-length curly red hair. When piloting his mecha, he wears a simple, yet clearly Scottish outfit consisting of a thin doublet, trews, and . Under normal circumstances, he wears traditional Highland dress (which consists of a kilt bearing the Robertson tartan, a dress Sporran with silver chain, a black barathea jacket with silver buttons, a Robertson tartan waistcoat, a white shirt [with shirt studs, barrel cuffs, and a turn-down collar], a white lace jabot, evening dress brogues, full-dress kilt hose [with sgian-dubh], and a Highland bonnet).
Brief Character History: Alastair was the sun of a herdsman, living day to day, not concerned with the ways of those outside of his small village. All of that changed one day when towering metal men invaded his land and killed many of his people, searching for leaders of a rumored rebellion (remember, this is after the Irish famine and Irish and Scottish nationalist tried to push back the empire from their land whenever possible). It was then when a young Alastair became entranced with these machines, and in the following years, "acquired" parts from many sources. He studied, learned, and finally built his own machine which he then used to run errands for some of the more wealthier folk. As this continued, he used the money he earned to buy newer parts, better weapons, still taking jobs from whomever payed well (and even a few for free, whenever his people's lives were in danger). His latest "errand" was for an odd Serbian man who was on his way to America. He didn't pay in money, though, just this one... very curious... piece of machinery...
Mecha Name: Finlay
Description of Mecha: About 23 feet tall. Moderate armor across the body, thicker in certain places. One shoulder-mounted, steam-powered gatling gun (obviously scaled up) firing 22mm rounds. 10-shot sword revolver (left hand). Eleven-foot long Katzbalger (right hand). One hidden, retractable blade (approx. 3 feet long). The whole mecha was painted white, at one point, but numerous skirmishes have caused it to wear away...

Character Name: Hans Günsche
Character Appearance: Hans is well built, about 5,9. He has sandy blond hair and bright blue eyes. He likes wearing warm colors, mainly warm browns or warm creamy colors. many think it odd, but their is favorite colors. he usually wears a navy blue vest with his cream shirts and brown pants.
Brief Character History: Hans grew up in a very wealthy family in north Germany his Father is German, but his Mother was Russian. His mother died a few years after his younger sister was born. He's been into robots his whole life, he'll do anything to protect his sister and is very over protective of her, Anya being his only sibling. For his 18th birthday Hans got his first Mecha and has been hard at work on it for almost two years.
Mecha Name: Ritter Rüstung
Description of Mecha: Ritter is a black Mecha with red trim, it's smaller than most Mech's and can move fast despite it's heavy armor. Like most traditional knights it carries a javelin, fully living up ti it's name.

Character Name: Anastasia "Anya" Günsche
Character Appearance: Anya has long blond hair that she usually keeps in a braid, she has bright Violet eyes like her mother and like her brother she usually wears browns but she lover wearing red and blue, also like her brother she wears boy clothes because they're comfortable, her father has them specially made for her.
Brief Character History: Anya was 4 when her mother died and loves her father very much. When someone first meets Anya they think of her as a very shy individual, but in truth she's a mute, she is very fluent in sign language and has figured out how to do it in multiple languages. Unlike her brother Anya was never really into Mecha's, but like her brother she'll do anything to protect him or any of her friends. Anya is also a professional fencer and sword fighter, fencing being her hobby and sword fighting being a side hobby whenever she has time.

William made the last hard connection on the reactor's water lines, and listened to the satisfying whistle as the steam brought the bronze machine to life. He deftly climbed up its armor, like the street rat that he was. He plopped down in the somewhat uncomfortable controller's seat. The control system was complicated, but still simpler that the ones used by the Royal Guard. At the thought of the blue-clad pansies, he spat in disgust.
"The time has come to rid the world of those tyrants. This machine shall blaze a new trail! I, William Baxter Cruxely II, shall stand tall upon the ruins of aahck--!" he began to say aloud. His monologue was cut off as an insecure water line ruptured, and the machine lost the fluid pressure holding it erect. He clung to the bars of his control deck with white knuckles as the heavy thing came crashing down. He grumbled under his breath as he pulled himself from the fallen machine, and set about repairing the damage.

Raphael was almost peacfully alseep again in the warm afternoon air, until the voice of the man from before drifted up. And another's. What's with these people? Can't they just let me sleep for a bit? "What're ye two aboot down thare?" He called, leaning over again, his tone more of curiosity then annoyance. "Cannae ye let an honest fellow enjoy the day?" "Are you in charge of this...thing, Sir?" Raphael smiled amusedly, gesturing with a careless wave of his hand. "O' course Ah am. Ah'm innit, aren't Ah?" "Sir, do you have a permit for the thing?" "Dinnae call 'er a 'thing'. 'Er name is Fatum!" "I'm sorry?" "Yeah, ye better be." He said with a laugh, leaning back and propping his legs up and over the edge. "Sir, I'm still talking with you. You need to move it--Er, Fatum." "Aye, an' Ah'm done talking to yoo. Now, unless ye 'ave food or somethin' else important, lemme get some shuteye." "I'm going to have to call this in, Jerry. Make sure he doesn't do anything unless he's moving out of the way." Footsteps echoed away and Raphael gave a sigh, still smiling. "Ah, what daft fools thay are, huh Fatum?"

Leon stepped back to admire his hard work as he spent most of the day cleaning and repairing his Shining Star Rüstung. He then went up to the city walls and looked out at the landscape thinking that it was such a beautiful site.

Aaron sat there listening to William go on about how his Rüstung was great until one the the water lines broke. Seeing William fanatically trying o repair his Rüstung made him want to go check the systems of his own Demon Rüstung. So he headed to the place where he stored it , he looked out to the far away city and with a snort said, "Just you wait you noble pansies I am coming for you."
