I'll go ahead and get the sad news out of the way.. I had meant to update you guys about my snails, Gary and Houdini.. They died about a month or so ago.. I don't know why.. I tested the water and everything was good.. So maybe they were older than I thought they were or something..
Also, Squirtle died last night.. I'm not sure how old he was, but I know he was fairly old. I could tell it was getting close since he had not been himself the last couple weeks.. I miss him already.
Now for the good news:
I finally named my betta. His name is Gyarados. Also, his tail is growing back quite nicely! I can't wait for it to finally be back at its full size. With his tail having grown about halfway back now, he's swimming around a lot better. biggrin
Also, we had to go to my college campus to pick up my cap and gown (I have graduated from college and the ceremony is next Thursday biggrin ). Afterwards, we went to Petco to pick up a few things. While we were there, I looked at their Red Eared Slider turtles and saw one that I loved and got him. His name is Wartortle. I'll post pictures of him either later today, sometime this weekend or on Monday, depending on when I am able to take them and upload them. He has such a sweet personality. When the associate picked him up, he didn't hiss, try to bite, kick or anything. He just remained calm and looked at us. And he's very active and healthy! biggrin

I do miss Squirtle.
He is. biggrin I also love his personality. biggrin He's also super active. I had a hard time getting pictures of him after I put him in the tank because he wouldn't stop swimming. He's really fast too. ^_^ I ended up having to wait until just before I went to bed to get the pictures of him in the tank when he finally stayed still long enough for me to get a few pictures. smile

Wartortle is finally eating some! I also saw him on the floating dock for the first time this morning, at least it was my first time seeing him on it. biggrin He's also starting to get more relaxed. He doesn't seem to be darting deeper into the tank when ever he notices movement while he's getting some air as frequently. biggrin He sleeps in a super cute way! He puts his back right leg between the bottom part of the rail that holds the floating dock in place and the glass and his right front foot on the side part, keeping himself close enough to the surface of the water so that all he needs to do is stretch his neck out to stick his nose above the water surface to get air. XD I'll take a picture of him when he's doing this and post it. It's so cute! whee
