So, I'm standing out on the back porch supervising my dogs running around the "dog yard" area of the back yard using the bathroom when all of a sudden my dogs start going bonkers, and I see 2 planks in my privacy fence bust out as the neighbor's bulldog pushes through it and lunges at my 3. Pandora being the biggest of my 3 decided to take the invader on and is now at the vets overnight waiting for the morning when she can be sedated [vet had concerns with her elevated heart rate nearly an hour after the fight, it was after hours had to wait for them to call back.] But she possibly has either a broken leg, a sprain, or damage to the ankle joint in one of her front legs as she was completely non-weight bearing on it. Multiple punctures up and down her legs, and the neighbor didn't even leave their yard to come get their damned dog, we had to toss him back over the fence to them.

Shanna66 are they paying for the vet or are you? i hope your dog pulls through. how is the other dog? Me out of pocket, and then the lawyer is contacting them with a demand of payment letter and then going to their homeowners insurance. The other dog got out of it with just a minor puncture to the face, that I doubt they will even have looked at until it becomes massively infected, and then they will try to sue us for their dog breaking our fence and attacking Pandora, because theirs is an English Bully and Pandora an AM Staff [pitbull breed bullshit.] No serious joint damage, a minor sprain to the elbow, just gotta keep an eye out for infection, and she's being a trooper with her treatments except she gives me the Saddest eyes I've ever seen and makes me feel like I'm like betraying every trust she ever put in me.

Oooh, crappy neighbors. X_X Hate 'em. I'm glad your pup's going to be okay, though. Definitely stick through with the lawyer thing if possible. If you have witnesses besides you, have them write and sign a document in front of an authority as well. Anything you can possibly try to help support that the attack was unprovoked, do.

I fully intend to, this is the first time their dog has gotten ahold of one of mine, but not the first time he's climbed the fence or went under it somehow. I went out tonight and walked every inch of the fence looking for gaps at the bottom and it's tight and against the ground. I don't see how...
