Long ago, during the time of the Reniassance in Europe, Vampires were beings of the night whose existence was kept a secret by the European government and a council made up of the most powerful Pureblood Vampires. Any Vampire who broke the laws that were set down by the council, were swiftly dealt with. These laws included the following:
~A Vampire could not bite and kill a Human
~A Vampire could not turn a Human into a Vampire
~Vampires would not terrorize Humans
~A Vampire could not, in any way, reveal the existence of Vampires to Humans
These laws were strictly enforced, and Vampire Hunters were always ready to rid Europe of Vampires who did not follow these laws. The most important law prohibited Vampires from turning Humans into Vampires. If a Human was turned into a Vampire, they would lose all sense of self-control when it came to their thirst for blood. They were the greatest threat to Humans in Europe, and therefore, their creation was strictly prohibited. It was the creation of a new Vampire, that started our story...

In Europe, there were many high-class families, who held a high influence over Europe's government. These high-class families were both Pureblood, and Human. One day, the youngest daughter of the well-known St.Clair family was on an evening stroll, when she mysteriously dissapeared. Unknown to her friends and family, she had been taken by a Vampire; who's intentions were very un-noble, to say the least. The Vampire turned to girl into a Vampire, already breaking the most sacred Vampire law...
Meanwhile, the only son of the highly wealthy Pureblood family, _________, had heard of the dissapearance. His father was the head of the Vampire Council, and had personally asked his son to look into the dissapearance. The son tracked down the Vampire, and found him in an old chateu in the center of a forest. He quickly disposed of the Vampire, and in the other room, he found the girl. Luckily, he had arrived before anything else had happened, but unfortunately, he found the girl as a Vampire, no longer a Human. The law stated that dangerous new Vampires like these had to be disposed of, so they did not pose a threat to Human society. He knew what he had to do, but when he was abut to deal the fatal blow.....he could not bring himself to do it. He had encountered this girl a few times before, when their families had met at soirees, and he simply could not end the girl's life. He told her what she needed to do, and she was a clever girl, so she understood what he was telling her. He then left the house, and returned to his home. He made up a cover story to lead the Council away from the fact that he had let the girl live. No one suspected a thing, and he soon forgot about the ordeal.
Centuries later, in what is now the 21st century, he is still alive, and he will soon take his father's place as head of the Vampire Council. Times have changed, and they have to be as careful as ever to keep their existence a secret. Also, the girl who he had spared learned how to take control of her thirst, and learned how to blend in with the Humans. She lives among them, and has befriended a girl, who is in fact her descendant. She is the oldest daughter of the St.Clair family, a distant granddaughter of the girl's brother. They are very close, practically sisters, though the child does not know who her best friend really is. One evening, her friend decides to invite the girl to a soiree. The girl happily accepted, not knowing that the boy who had saved her all those years ago would be there. When they see each other for the first time in centuries, what will happen???
