So my sister went and got her hair dyed sea green just because she can but she has naturally dark hair and had to bleach it to get the color in. Afterwards when she got home, she had really bad burns on part of her head. She can't wash her hair or touch it. It kinda oozes too.
Is that suppose to happen when your hair is bleached?

Heck no! That's never supposed to happen! D= It sounds like your sister has chemical burns. She might need to have a doctor look at it to make sure it isn't serious.
I have dark brown hair and I've bleach my hair myself and had it done professionally and that has never happened.

That's good, doesn't like it was too bad then.
And don't let that discourage you from getting your hair bleached. That usually only happens when the the bleach is too strong and/or left on for too long. And if you're really worried about it, just make sure whoever does it keeps the bleach a few inches away from your scalp.

She did my moms hair and it looked really good so my sister went. I just chose being able to get out and swim over having some fancy hair. xd

Oh god no!
It sounds like what happened to my friend when she had a bad reaction from a head lice treatment. She had burns on the right side of her head, and behind her ears.
You said it oozes? Maybe try patting a paper towel on it, or use a burn gel, to soothe it?
Ouch, this sounds rather painful, hope your sister is okay after this

The water probably wouldn't agree with the pink hair anyway. XD I don't think I could ever trust students to dye my hair, I'd be tense and paranoid the whole time.
I hope you had fun swimming, then! Never learned how myself, but it seems like fun. ^_^

emotion_bigheart Yeah, we've been patting it down. We're not quite sure what to do since none of us had ever had our hair bleach before.

Sounds like maybe she had an allergic reaction/skin is super sensitive to bleach or they used too much.
Usually they are supposed to do a patch test, where they slather a little bit on the inside of your arm to see if you feel any burning, or redness before they do your whole head...

Yes, but we didn't get it professionally done. We had college beauty students do it and as far as I know, they've never done that.
