So, here I am trying to start a journal on here again.
I'm really terrible at keeping up with these things, I tend to even
forget about their existence, and stumble upon them months
later, rereading everything and rolling my eyes over the stupid
things that I had to say.
But I think that's half the fun in documenting what you're thinking
at a certain time. You can come back to it and think "wow, I really
said that?" or "I can't believe I ever felt that way!" It's a way of
preserving something that people rarely can get back: the things
they think every second of every day. You're always thinking.
And six months from now, am I going to remember sitting here
thinking "I wish I wasn't so lazy, so that I could change the song that
is playing, because I really don't like the song "By Your Side" very
much."? No, I'm not. It's the little things that make up who you
are, so you should try to record and remember them as best
as you can.
I think that's why I like taking pictures of things so much.
