Just a little background on me first- I came from a large family and I'm currently living with my beloved Annette, my sweet Rosie, Rosie's hubby Chryos and my soon to be new roomie Charlie who I have a total crush on. Charlie likes to cook like I do- so it will be fun to spend time with her working on all kinds of delicious foodstuffs.

I also have a D/s partner Wren, but he doesn't live here.

I keep really busy:
I take between 15 and17 credits in college each quarter
I have a part time job at college proofreading people's papers
I take about 11 extra curricular classes that focus on cooking and homesteading
I'm maintaining a beekeeping apprenticeship
I volunteer for a non-profit that builds gardens with low income families so we can fight hunger
I'm training to be clergy
I'm in 4 school clubs, and an officer in 2 of those including the GSA and the Honors Society

... and somewhere in all that I manage to have something that looks a little like a social life. cat_sweatdrop

Philosophical Rant based on RL below, you've been warned.

I have standards when it comes to friends- I want my friends to be 80% non-flakes- roughly translated, if for every 5 times we agree to do something, one or less of those times things should come up.

On one hand, sometimes stuff comes up- things happen outside of our control. On the other- we can control what we say to people, when we make our commitments and it is important for people to not write checks with their mouths that their butt can't cash.

On one hand, friends are supposed to stand by each other, through thick and thin- but this can't be a one way street, it's not ok to bail on someone because your their friend and "they'll understand".

Relationships are work- if they weren't they'd be acquaintances. I'm a very reliable person, and I learned a long time ago that people will use a friendship as an excuse to treat me poorly and I got tired of it. Friendship should be a reason to go above and beyond, not a reason to flake.

I know this can sound "judgmental"- but come on, everyone always says "use your best judgement," so why is friendship something that we're supposed to throw our judgment out the window on and let others treat us poorly over? Just like being a kinky switch doesn't make me someone's doormat, neither does being someone's friend.

Today has been a weird day- most of it I spent working on some art projects, but the start of it all was this class I spoke at and now I wish I hadn't because it didn't go well.

The first day of class is over and I'm so tired.

I'm really really depressed. Annette had a major allergic reaction and we had to cut their wedding band off to avoid them loosing their finger- don't get me wrong, I'd rather loose the ring than have Annette loose a finger, but there is something about cutting what is a magical symbol of our eternal love that has me really down. cat_cry

I liked the first chapter of my psychology book- it talked about the things needed to make moral judgements.

Like it can't be arbitrary- because if it's inconsistent or unreasoned it doesn't have the weight of sound judgment.

The moment you try, speak, or act- you’ve removed part of the Way
The essence of everything exists without that and inside it
Endlessness was named and became the foundation of the world
What we do, is part of this world
Seeing the Mystery and the Manifestation at once
They’re two sides of the same coin and you can’t separate what makes them meaningful from each other
They show us everything

Part of me feels guilty at using MLK's speech because as a Baptist I'm not sure he would be ok with the LGBT rights movement. cat_sweatdrop

12 hours of homework... I am so ready to go home. cat_sweatdrop
I'm also having this mild gender identity crisis because I don't have the kind of support I need IRL and the body dysphoria has been way out of control lately. I blame PE.

I don't want people to tell me they're worried about me- I want them to ask how they can help if they're worried about me.
