[1v1] Blindfolded Ninja (Levi vs Shun)

Training. Always training. Never not. It was one thing to be working with his birds, but actual combat experience was always more helpful. And so, one day, Shun came by to find Levi to issue out a challenge of sorts. After all, she was with him in this stealth mentoring thing. It was simple; to come meet him at the gym at midnight and to bring a blindfold.

They were going to fight without their vision.

Come time, the Reaper was sitting on the floor, already blindfolded. He might have been meditating, trying to prepare himself. Prior to the mentoring session, he had fought once with a blindfold against Mitsu. He had actually done fairly well for that.

But this should prove to be a greater challenge since Levi had more stealth experience. Plus she would not be wearing a bell for half of this battle.

Levi remembered her last fight in the gym at night. No, this was not the same situation by a long shot. Shun ran more along the lines of a gentleman in the tatzel's head. A gentleman who practiced the teachings of stealth and invisibility the same as her. Whether it was Invictus or Noland, as students, they both sought the same sort of lessons to excel in. But a blindfold? Admittedly, Levi was perplexed by the suggestion of this item, but sure enough, the tatzel appeared at the gym with a long strip of white cloth over her shoulder.
She'd never back down from a challenge.

When she saw the reaper sitting on the floor already blindfolded, the type of training he had thought of finally came to mind. Shun! Should I go'head n' put this on? She asked, but somehow figured that would be the case, already lifitng the fabric to her eyes and typing a knot in the back. 'least there ain't no dark critters 'ere this time.

She moved a step or two closer to the seated Shun once her blindfold was on, the clack of her sandals sounding before some rustling was heard. She was taking off the sandals, then kicking them off to the sidelines. Alright! M'ready!

Well. Shun didn't have to worry about Levi sneaking up on him this time around. Aside from her steps, she had spoken up. He frowned for the moment and nodded to her before getting up to his feet. Also, he went ahead to summon his daggers, taking the moment to bow to the Tatzel before getting into stance.

He didn't say he was ready, but he was.

Letting out a breath, he tried to focus his hearing for where she was exactly. She had the slight advantage over him since he hadn't seen her enter. He had to go completely by what he heard right now. The Reaper's breathing was at ease as he waited.

Once he had an idea where she was, he began to make his move. To an extent, this was a battle of stealth, so he didn't simply rush forth. Not yet. He would probably make too much noise if he really ran right now. So he made a slower approach. Then, when he felt he was close enough, he made his lunge, slashing out with both blades simultaneously.

So Shun was ready to jump into action. No problem! Like the training they'd done with Noland, Levi attempted to key into her other senses like hearing. Shun was, in fact, a pretty silent opponent.

When the ghoul felt a slash of pain, she automatically hissed in retaliation, providing a followup swipe of her right claw in the direction of what had cut at her.

Shun expected retaliation, but it was still hard to be completely prepared when he couldn't see the actual attack. Moments after he had struck, he felt Levi's claws rake against him. Sneering somewhat from the pain, he double backed before moving around. He was still listening very carefully, planning out a mental map of sorts.

Once he felt ready, he lashed out once more, this time slashing with one dagger before attempting to stab with the other.

The slash coming at her again was shockingly effective. To fight without staring at your footing versus fighting without seeing anything at all was proving to be more difficult than anticipated. Or was Shun just really good at it? Not something the ghoul was willing to inquire about at the moment. An attempt to block was thwarted by the followup stab she hadn't predicted from that angle as she had thought Shun was in a completely different position.

However, once Levi was able to tell where Shun was, by following where the stab came from, she reached out with both claws and slashed downward to hopefully catch as much of him as possible.

This time around, Shun had a harder time anticipating where Levi's attack was coming from, and ended up taking a heavier hit. Letting out a hiss in pain, he held his ground before reaching to grab for her arms in an attempt to throw her to the ground.

From there, he shifted on back, trying to listen for where she landed and where she might be coming from now.

The tatzel couldn't ready her tail in time to compute what:

1) had just happened to her. Did Shun push her or did she lose her footing on something?

2) direction to fall in. One usually fell, when possible, in a manner that limited their damage defensively.

When she fell to the shielded ground with a mighty thud, Levi tried to find Shun almost immediately. No, not with her hands this time. The tatzel swung her tail low to the floor like a sweeping kick, trying to seek the reaper out.

Shun heard some movement, but wasn't quite able to register what was happening here. And before he knew it, he felt her thick tail sweeping his legs under his feet. Landing squarely on his back, he let out a grunt. The impact had been enough to disorient the reaper, and though he made a swing, he ended up not hitting anything around him.

Another thud indicated there was a another body on the floor now. That, and the tatzel's tail had felt the connection. The problem now? Levi's tail had left where Shun's position was as it whirled around. Trying to retrace his position now, the end of her tail flickered around at the floor, sweeping bristles of fur against the shield until she felt a change in the flat surface.

While he was on the ground, Shun felt her tail prodding his side. It made him twitch a bit, as that kind of tickled. Though, that was all he needed to have a better idea of where Levi was at. He grabbed the tail momentarily, then yanked back while propelling himself forward. His daggers were back in his hands as he made a swipe out to where he thought the rest of her body was.

HIIIISSSSSSS~! Shun had grabbed her tail; a highly unexpected feat. Along with the blind shock of this tail yanking, Levi's back arched when another slice at her skin was successful. The air she expelled vented through clenched teeth raggedly.

The ghoul rather clumsily attempted to swipe behind her in a rather awkward stance.

That hiss definitely gave away Levi's position. Shun was still moving around too, so he barely felt her claws grazing against his torso while he shifted about.

There.

Right about now he felt that he should be behind the Tatzel. While still trying to keep his movements hushed, he gripped onto his daggers tightly and stabbed down at her with both blades.

The blades came down at her and entered through the front and back of her on either side of her arm as she turned. One went through her chest at her side and the other hitting her shoulder blade and scraping down until the point hit her ribcage. A gasping breath was followed by a choked yelp. Can't be this hard. It can't be! This had shown just how much the ghoul actually need to practice on her own eyeless evasion. The difference between what Shun obviously knew and what she herself had grown dependent on was evident.

Taking what time she could, Levi swept again with her tail in a frantic attempt to knock back the reaper and whatever followup close-range attack Shun might have in store for her.

Pulling his blades out, Shun had been ready to strike again when her tail came from the side to knock him back. Stumbling, he fell away, but not before hurling one of his daggers in her general direction. It took him a moment to right himself back up afterwards. That tail of hers was a bit troublesome. He had a harder time hearing that than the rest of her body.

Several feet away (or so it felt), he remained crouched down, waiting and listening for a moment to strike.
