This is mainly a thread to record what I'm eating. I'm on the road to recovering from whatever is going on in my head. More about it here. Comments are always welcome, but feel free to lurk too.
My main goals are increasing my daily calorie intake, getting my 5-7 day long periods back, regaining my energy and strength, and killing these disordered thoughts. i want my eating habits to be like this.
(I'm basically forcing myself to eat more, and posting my daily intake here for motivation.)
~ I'll try to post daily xD

Day 1: July 27, 2012
Breakfast: ~ two eggs (150) ~ two slices of whole grain toast with 1 tbsp of grape jam each (200) ~ half cup of multigrain cheerios, dry. (50)
Lunch: ~ deli style veggie sandwich on whole grain (250) ~ half cup of low fat icecream (150)
Afternoon Snack: ~ 1 cup of cheerios and a half cup of skim milk (150) ~ oatmeal (150)
Dinner: ~ 3 oz of grilled chicken (150) ~ small serving of pasta (150) ~ very very small, half serving sliver of pie (200)
Total: 1600
Comments: My mom says I can't be a vegetarian anymore after two years. She doesn't think it's good for my "development", not to mention I'm apparently showing signs of being anemic again. Woo. I bumped up my intake today a lot, and it's nice because I don't feel hungry like normal. And the desserts I let myself have were good too.

just fyi, if any of you need someone to talk to about anything - eating disorders, nutrition, health, recovery, anything really - feel free to talk to me here.
or if you want to use this thread to post your daily intake too, that would be fine c:
emotion_bigheart
the only thing i ask is none of that pro-anorexia or pro-bulimia s**t. this is a positive zone.

You can get perfectly good nutrition being vegetarian/vegan, you just need to know what foods give you what nutrients, and you have to really widen your variety of foods.
There's a website called This Dish is Veg, they have lots of good information there.

Good luck! emotion_hug

Day 2: July 28, 2012
Breakfast: ~ two eggs (150) ~ two slices of whole grain toast with 1 tbsp of grape jam on each (200) ~ 1/3 of a protein bar (50)
Lunch: ~ deli sandwich on whole grain (200) ~ baby serving of tofu (100) ~ small serving of pasta (100)
Afternoon Snack: ~half cup of low fat ice cream (150) ~oatmeal (150)
Dinner: ~ grilled chicken (150) ~ whole grain cheerios and a 1/3 cup of milk (150) ~ another small slice of pie (200)
Total: somewhere around 1600-1630
Comments: my mom still has said no to being a vegetarian. she says she wants me to eat a small serving of meat everyday. however she says i don't have to eat red meat.
I feel kind of weird for having cereal with my dinner. oh well, my mom needs to go grocery shopping ASAP and that's really all that I could find.
NO REGRETS FOR THE DESSERT! WOO PIE.

I know this is really bad, mainly because i never eat breakfast, XD good luck! I'm honestly jealous of that haha. What I want to achieve is that attitude that food is just... food, like you seem to have. I'm tired of counting every single calorie and measuring everything. But hey, you have to start somewhere right?
Thanks! emotion_hug

Thanks! emotion_hug All you have to do is remember that yummy food makes your belly happy ^u^ and when your belly is happy, your spirit is happy ^u^ im acctually getting back into counting calories. im just thinging "as long as i am around that range, im good. some over or some under is not bad". Because you have been on the counting calories and eating right track for so long its gonna take some time, but its gonna get better. i promise ^u^
