He had worked successfully with the two horsemen before. He knew they could be trusted, knew their strength, and as it came time to split into smaller groups he was perfectly fine to be grouped with them. The addition of the Priestess to the group was only natural. He was worried about her, knowing she was already on the brink. Knowing that if she was consumed something would have to be done about her, and the thought sickened him. But he was a Guardian, and there were duties.

Where they were at was like the school, but different. He could see students moving through the fog, other horsemen, shapes in the fog and the building looming ahead of them. Soren did not move quickly, giving the others ample time to get ahead of him and lead the way. Others could take the lead, or he would. He did not care where they went, so long as they completed their duties. "Our plan?"

Tseng bounded into the fog filled land, pausing for a moment as he looked around at the strange surroundings. It didn't feel natural here. Not in the slightest.

"Seek out the threats! Eliminate them for the glory and safety of the clan!"

Yes, that was pretty much the extent of the plan that he had in mind. Perhaps the sources of insanity were at the areas where the fog was thicker? He wasn't sure. But in any case, if they looked around enough, they'd eventually find something they could take down. Between the four of them, nothing should be an issue too great.

Kiwi made his way through the fog. He had heard whispers through Halloween of this place, this "Haunted House", but he had never been here himself before. The fog made it appear even more mysterious, prickling the back of his neck with a sickening feeling. It reminded him of the Clan Isles, the moment they fell. A sea of fog washing up into a large, ominous bird ...

The horseman shuddered, an odd thing for him, and paused. Just ahead two figures seemed to materialize from the fog. One he recognized almost immediately as the tall, dark figure of Soren, and an anxious voice drifted to him through the fog from the second figure. That had to be Tseng. Who else would be so eager at a time like this?? Kiwi inwardly chuckled, stepping forward with a light jingle of his jewelry as he approached them. "Hello Soren, Tseng. Looks as though our task is to ... dispell this fog?? ... if that's even possible," he admitted quietly.

Nergui was tense, incredibly so. What had started as nerves within the cavernous lair had grown ten fold. Outside the stone walls, and so near to what was very obviously a source of Insanity, the very infection that plagued the dark skinned priestess, the whispering murmurs not only rose in volume, but had also seemed to take on a more urgent pitch.

If it had been only Soren then perhaps she would have been having a better time of it, but one among their little group she'd never met, and the other had been a meeting in passing. She didn't know these stallions, and by no fault of their own, they were making her jumpy.

So much so in fact she'd rather quickly hurried along so she could catch a hold of the guardian's strong arm, dainty fingers dimpling the flesh beneath the cover of his sleeve. "I can hear them," she admitted quietly, the edge of her voice sounding strained. "They whisper to me. Calling me home." Her fingers tightened on his arm, and she moved a little closer to him, heterchromic eyes searching the fog for the owners of the voices that rang in her ears, but only the vague outlines of Kiwi and Tseng were visible.

How very like Tseng to go bounding about, shouting out their plans. Yet, still, Soren could not really judge him for it. It seemed to work more often than not, and it did make sense. He looked into the fog as Kiwi spoke, noting the solid shapes that were barely concealed. Was it that easy, could the fog even be dispelled? It was ominous here, putting him constantly on edge.

The Priestess at his arm was not surprising, though still not expected. Her voice carried to him, though not much farther. The fog was affecting her. It was too late to turn back, horsemen did not back away from a challenge like this. "They're strong allies," he said simply, nodding to the two of them, trying to distract her and let her know that the others were valuable companions as well. He was not sure what to tell her, if he should mention that the voices would be taken care of. There was simply too much uncertainty.

He raised his voice slightly, addressing them all. "Should we head inside or continue to patrol the outside?"

Tseng looked towards the Priestess, tilting his head. The insanity called to her, which was not exactly a good sign. However, perhaps things will not go too badly.

"We must seek out the source of this! I believe our best bet shall be to go into the belly of the beast. Or the lair of the dragon. Or whatever it may be!" he stated firmly to Kiwi and Soren. It was probably more likely that their enemy would be within, rather than out and about. That was his guess in the least.

Though, before moving towards the door, he turned towards Nergui.

"Will you be well enough for this? I don't suppose you can sense where the source may be, can you?"

Missmatched eyes snapped back up to Soren as he spoke, and it was clear by expression that she didn't know to whom he was speaking about at first. For the briefest of seconds she considered that he might be talking about the disembodied voices, but that didn't make any sense. Not rationally, and certainly not personally. The guardian knew too well how Nergui felt about her.. sickness, and he wouldn't say such things. When she did realize he was speaking about the two stallions with them she peered through the fog at each dark silhouette, dark lips pursing thoughtfully. "I will take your word on that." She trusted Soren, so she would try to trust these allies as well.

Even still, she gave a small start when Tseng's voice floated through the haze. So used to the calm she'd grown used to when dealing with Soren and Lifen, Tseng's excited declarations set the dark mare's teeth on edge, especially now.

She was already watching him as he turned to look down at her, and she regarded the young stallion wearily. "I'm not as delicate as I appear," she assured him, fighting to keep the annoyance from her voice. She could understand his concerns. So far she wasn't doing terribly well, but she'd handled herself alright when they'd invaded the hunters, and she would hold her own here as well. Infection or no infection.

As for finding the source.. "Not actively, no. Though the closer we get the stronger.. " She paused, frowned, then adjusted the lacy veil that covered her golden eye. The Insanity wasn't much of a secret anymore, many of the remaining Lost Clans members knew who among them were infected, but the priestess still didn't like drawing attention to her own illness. Which was, of course, a direct symptom.

Home...

The fog rolled in, almost solidifying into what was once a student. Blue eyes were wide and searching, looking for...something. Home, probably. Instead they fell on the group, and without a care as to who or what they were she growled, swiping backward claws at the creature nearest to her.

Tseng had a valid plan, to dive into the belly of the beast, to just go and get it all over with. Turning that way had seemed like a good idea,

Then the fog grew thicker, a figure emerging from it. It set him on edge as it swiped at him, and him so near a priestess as well, though he managed to dodge the attack, punching with his free hand to the claws as they passed to deal some damage. Still, it was clear it was the enemy they were hunting for. "Stay back," he told the priestess. With her on edge like this...

Kiwi had been standing quietly between Soren and Tseng, listening to the conversation as the Priestess explained herself. On the contrary, he thought she appeared capable of handling herself, despite how she currently clung to the taller horseman.

He was about to speak up, when a sudden shift in the fog pricked his skin, a sense of something dreaded, just out of reach. The younger pony flicked his head round, to see a seething mist forming in the fog, blue eyes aglow. And it was headed directly for Soren, and for that matter, Nergui at his side.

No. He wasn't about to let that happen. In a single movement Kiwi's sickle and chain were at his side, and he rushed forward, slicing it through the dense fog of Insanity. Unfortunately, being a mass of seething fog within a mass of seething fog, the Famine boil somehow missed it entirely, bouncing to the ground below.

Home!

Nergui flinched, figner tips digging into Soren's arm before something emerged from the fog and lashed out at him. In one fluid motion he'd pushed her behind him and out of the line of fire, while attacking himself. The sudden movement, coupled with the blaring cry that rang through her mind, was enough to leave the mare staggering, but she too summoned her weapon, a dark bladed scimitar.

The war colt rushed forward, sickle slicing through the dense swirl of fog, and the priestess, despite Soren's request, was right on his heels. Petite, but not harmless, and certainly not helpless. Even in her current state of mind.

Join us..

In fact, if anything, she was likely more dangerous.. Or perhaps merely reckless.

Her blade slide through the fog like it was nothing, and she retreated back from the.. Creature, short sword held in front of her as a shield. Her attack had been automatic, but now she knew what they faced. Insanity in it's purest form. A portrait of the future for the priestess if her infection managed to fully consumer her. She stared at the figure, missmatched eyes wide, and fear such as she'd never experienced before filled her. "That won't be me." And yet it very likely could be. The priestess retreated another step, shoulders hiking up as she gazed on their foe in pure horror. "That won't be me!"

Indeed, it seemed like Tseng has a pretty valid idea here, for they soon had come upon one of the insanity beasts!

"HAH! One comes to challenge us now!" he proclaimed as he called forth his bow. He grinned, eager to jump right into battle. He glanced to the others briefly as they began their own attack.

"FOG PIERCER!" he shouted as he let one of his arrows fly towards the creature, aiming between its eyes.

Kiwi realized time was of the essence. And that being said, he hurled himself through the air, spreading molting wings as he allowed his sickle to fly. The chain whizzed out with a hiss, slicing through the foggy creature as Kiwi fell back to the ground. He glanced around, noticing Tseng and Soren not far from him, and could just make out Nergui through the mist. At least she was safe, for now.

The attacks started, and the creature in the fog only howled with rage.

Why...WHY----LET ME GO HOME!

It cried out, blue eyes narrowing into thin slits. How dare these things try to stop it! It turned towards the two who had hurt it most - some vague recognition came into play there, recognizing the pair as the two trying the hardest to stop it - and swung out it's claws. Both sets of backward claws swung, one after the other in quick, sweeping succession.

A fierce beast this was! Tseng let out a cry of pain as it lashed out at him with its claws. But this was good. A formidable opponent made for greater glory upon victory.

"DISRUPTING SHOT!" he shouted as he aimed an arrow at its shoulder while jumping back to try and put some extra distance between himself at the creature. It hit hard, but perhaps he could kite it.

Unfortunately, he misjudged where its shoulder really was, and only hit empty fog.
