The posted class times were ‘After Lunch’ and ‘Whenever’. Very much not the type thing the previously orderly demon instructor would have posted. After lunch was vague, and ‘whenever’ was… not useful in the slightest. However, a few days later there were times actually posted. An hour before noon and a late class- 11 pm. An hour before midnight. Neither seemed to be times that qualified as ‘after lunch’ or ‘whenever’. Still, the date was frightday, the night of the full moon. It would be a pain to attend a class but, what the class offered was close to being worth it.

Demonic Contracts 101

All those interesting in learning more, please attend the seminar. There will be a contract workshop after class. Please gather in the audience seats of the Theater/Auditorium at the posted times. Noon class focuses on receiving contracts. Midnight class on forming them.
-K. Rengath

The theater, normally clean and free of any sort of debris, was oddly messy. There were no gnomes in sight, and not even the sound of them could be heard under the stage or above in the catwalk. On stage, A slightly disheveled looking Rengath sat in a high backed very plush black and gold chair. His vest was half button, collar half popped, tie loose, hair a mess- He looked like he got into a fight of some sort and had lost. He was rubbing his temples as students came in and on a wheel in black board behind him students would see basic instructions.

  • 1- Sit Down (in the chairs)
  • 2- Shut up (That means YOU)
  • 3- If I see a skellyphone, I get a new skellyphone
  • 4- If you must talk, keep it to a minimum. I better not be able to hear it.
  • 5- If you have a demon contract already, yes, this class might still benefit you.
  • 6- So help me Jack if I see another DETH flyer (the rest is an angry scrawl that looks like he might have stabbed the blackboard with chalk several times).
  • 7- Note taking highly suggested.

The teacher waited for students to gather, rubbing his temples, as if hoping it would all end soon.

Danny? Danny was so ready for this class. She was both a demon AND she'd made a contract before. She already knew all about the subject matter, so it was an easy A+++. Quite frankly? Danny needed an A+++ with how bad her grades were right now.

Not to mention it was Rengath. He'd given her a nice warm seat during tryouts, fire and everything. He was really crabby the last time she'd formally talked to him, but honestly? Danny didn't hold grudges. She thought anyone who lit things on fire was alright.

She looked at the instructions, getting stuck on number three. Rengath got a new skellyphone if she showed hers? Wow that was cool! She wanted to help out anyone she could!

So Danny pulled out her skellyphone and waved it around wildly, hoping he would see it.

Red eyes blearily looked to the audience. It was that ghoul again. A sigh, the gnomes not present he simply waved her over. "Danny," he even remembered her name, "please put your phone on the front of the stage."

One new phone to Rengath? Check.

Sophie poked her head into the classroom meekly. It seemed empty; besides the professor and another student who seemed to be getting in trouble. The ghoul shuffled over to a chair and sat down, pulling a notebook - which doubled as her sketch book - and a pencil case from her bag. Shifting around in her seat, the ghoul got comfortable and rested the notebook on her lap, waiting for the class to begin.

JACK WAS A DEMON AND THIS WAS A MIGHTY FINE CLASS.

Thusly, out of sheer will power and determination, Jack-B-Nimble found his way to the classroom - being as LESS CLASHY as usual, and willingly found a seat, tail curling up around the chair's leg, waiting as patiently as he could (and quietly.) Tomoko would be pretty damn proud, his hair was even nice and even and he wasn't trying to belt out any random songs.

Oh, and he wasn't late.

Having heard that a class was beginning, and being that he was freshly new to the academy, he decided why not join the class?

He strolled into the auditorium, his notebook and pencil in hand. He noticed it was pretty empty besides the teacher and two other students. That was good, Jayden didn't want to enter a full class room and have to wander around for ten minutes trying to find an empty seat.

He walked up to the front row and found himself and empty seat to sit in. This would be better so that he could make sure he didn't miss anything.

If he was going to attend this class he was going to make sure he made notes, good notes, because he would hate to have to retake the class. Failing a class just wasn't on Jayden's list of acceptable things.

Sharra found himself actually rather eager for this class.

Whilst he himself had no personal experience with demonic contracts, he had friends who first hand knew about this particular facet of demonic society. Well, at least, it had started there, the Nergal was well aware that there were other details but, to reiterate, he really knew oh so little about them. So here he was, for once actually interested in the knowledge that could be gleaned from this class. Binder under one arm, and a pencil shoved through the spirals that kept his papers together, he glanced around the room, not particularly keen on sitting alone even though he'd arrived at what he considered a decent interval between 'early' and 'this class has already started dammit'.

His lips twitched as he entered the room, bemused as Danny seemed so damnedly enthusiastic, and he had to wonder if the loud demon ghoul was just a little daft. Sliding in between one of the chairs and hopping over a row, he plopped down beside the currently quiet undead ghoul and flashed her a bright smile. "Hey, you're one of the freshmeat, that's right!" At least, that was one of the reasons he remembered her. "You excited for this class?"

He couldn't be the only one actually interested in something like this.

Sophie turned to the boil and then back at the board. For a moment she contemplated not saying anything. It wouldn't be rude. She was just following the rules, right? But then the boil might think her weird and spread rumors that would leave her alone. Forever. No friends. No nothing. The ghoul made a face and shook her head, turning to the boil. Of course, just because she was willing to talk didn't mean she was going to be good at it. It took her a few moments for the words to come out and when they did, they came out in one quick jumble.

"Kind of. I guess. I've only done one other class. So I'm not sure what to expect. I just hope there aren't any surprises." The ghoul made sure to keep her voice low, so as to not let the professor hear them talking.

The first aid workshop proved to be an interesting one, AJ was happy that he got a first-aid kit for free from the last class. A lesson about demon contract? Sounds fun enough. The amphisbaena therefore decided to join the class. Unlike the classroom where they have the first-aid lesson, this class was taken in a hall, a big and wide one. He randomly found a seat and read what the blackboard was already written. Note taking? Well, it wasn't really his style, but if asked he will. He took his notebook out and some snacks also. Who knows where his brother will get hungry, these snacks should be enough to keep its mouth shut.

Millie poked her head in the room. She wasn't sure if she should take this class or not and there were not many students she recognized at first.
Spying a few from her first aid class and some others from orientation, Millie walked in the room and found a seat near the middle. If students from orientation are here, how hard could it be?
Settling in and taking out a notebook, pencil, eraser and a wrist watch, placing them all on the desk, Millie scanned the words written on the chalkboard.

Getting to number 4, Millie realized that since two of the only rules she had read involved the students keeping their mouth shut, Millie franticly gathered her things and walked quickly in a near run to the back of the room and claimed the corner. This would be a difficult class indeed.

Was this some sort of secret skellyphone gathering ritual? Danny was simply too stupid to think otherwise.

She trotted to the front of the class and did as the teacher asked. With a satisfied smile, she sat down, smiled, and shot him a thumbs up. Congrats on your new phone, Rengath!!

Of course Danny expected to get her phone back soon. Whoops.

Sin really didn't get WHY this class was open to non demons, but in an effort to be open minded she didn't comment. She really didn't want to consider what her mother would say about it. The part of her that had once cared so much about her parents approval and pride had dwindled considerably. Sin had taken a lecture on Demon Contracts when she'd been shipped off to an all Demon school, but that lecture had been...painfully biased even in her opinion! Hopefully her Amityville education would again prove to be more enlightening than the narrow minded one her mother had tried to thrust upon her.

She slowly smiled as she spotted Jack, the cat loving demon boil who had often made Sin consider what she would do if she didn't have a boilfriend...but she did! Still Rosc certainly wouldn't deny her having an attractive male friend and Jack was fun from what she remembered. She really did have to stop being such a recluse and learn to mingle again or she'd end up friendless.

She sat down beside him and pulled out her notebook while making sure her skellyphone was turned off.

"Hello Jack." She would have tried to chat a bit more but one look at the blackboard had made her decide silence would be more prudent.

Gene floated her way into the theatre, quickly putting her phone away as soon as she saw the teacher. Nope, not getting her phone taken. As much as she admired Professor Renegath for his efforts and subject matter, she would put up a fight if he tried to take her phone - it was better for the both of them for the ghoul to just keep her phone in her bag.

She sighed as she took a seat next to Danny, noting that the demon had already gotten herself into trouble. "Danny...try and be a little quiet today, m'kay? The Professor looks a little tired." She said gently, patting Danny's hand. "If you don't get in too much trouble, I'll make you some spookies."

Ducking into the classroom, Marosa clutched his bag close to his chest, attempting to find a desk. Glancing at the time told him he'd just made it, and he hurriedly found a seat before the professor could remark anything about him.

Wings fluttering nervously, Marosa sat down and glanced up to see Sharra, a small smile finding its way onto his lips. He remained quiet, knowing he was talking to another ghoul, not wanting to rudely interrupt.
