So, I have been playing Final Fantasy VI for the Gameboy (3 for SNES) and I wondered what would happen if Gestahl never found the espers. So none of what happened happens. But I have a different take on it. Would like some opinions.

Well Emperor Gestahl's time came and passed. And he left his grand-daughter wishing for more. She was absolutely the least spoiled child that came into the house of the Gestahlian Empire. Where she lacked in being spoiled rotten, she made up for with a immense love for the lore of magic. She learned most of what she knew from her grandfather, but as her older brother became emperor, she wondered if her grandfather's tales were true.

She was eighteen when she came upon the esper gate. She wasn't sure what she had found but the two guards with her were killed the moment they stepped foot into the esper realm. She alone stood against the many magnificent creatures that were known as the Espers. She was taken prisoner and kept there for years. One Esper, by name of Iggdrasil, took pity on her and asked for her release. When he was refused, he pleaded for her to be put under his care. He was given permission and she stayed with him for a year before she herself fell in love with the world, the espers, and Iggdrasil.

After seven years of nothing from his only sister, the emperor sent the last search party he would be able to send in search for her. He accompanied this last useless search and he himself came upon the esper gate. He knew what he stood before, from the immense studies of the War of the Magi. He opened the gate with care and sent his troops in to find his sister and capture whoever he could. They would be useful. When he himself found his sister in the arms of an esper, he drew his blade to the esper and turned Iggdrasil into Magicite. For the rest of that awful year, the emperor enslaved as many espers as he could find. Having a total of fifty-seven espers, he felt accomplished. He would be the greatest Gestahlian Emperor as well as he found and saved his sister.

Years later, the world is in total fear of the maniacal king, and his powers and armies. What will happen? What could possibly happen. Will we stop him?

What do you think?
