Grim walked through the grass looking at the pathway from the forrest. It lead to his door step. He looked at his house, the fact he could afford the house was no miracle. He paced in a circle becoming abit antsy. His was eager to meet a new face.

❥ ＮＡＮＩ

Nani was a small slender girl, only standing a tiny 4'11. She was fragile, though she was strong in other departments, such as brains, and her 'smart a**'. A van pulled up to a white house surrounded by a forest, a fat man who smelled disgustingly of cigarettes, beer, and sweat, stepped from the drivers seat. He made his way around sliding open the back door "C'mon Seraphim, hurry your a** up and get out of my van" he ordered in a stern voice tacking on in the end "Filthy pig..". Nani, the girl from the van emerged with her head held high as if she was better than him "Muttering under your breath like that makes you seem like an unintelligent life form, just a waste of space. You're just wasting your time if you're going to 'escort' me to door." she said before walking away, he long black hair swaying behind her. The fat man scoffed, slamming the door shut as he followed the girl. They stood on the porch, the fat man pounding on the door "Excuse me! Can you please come get this dammed slave!? She's beginning to be a pain in the a**!" he shouted at the door as he waited for someone to answer. The fat man was completely oblivious to the male who paced back and forth on a pathway. Nani rolled her eyes and walked towards the man "Uhm, excuse me, are you the owner of the house?" she questioned as she approached the man.

Looking at the young one who had walked up to him Grim waved at her then sat his gaze back at the clouds. "Indeed I am." He spoke quietly, but loud enough to hear, his voice was father-like, but soft with a stern after-tone. He walked past the young one as he then walked up to the rather big man. "If you could stop pounding on the door, it would be appreciated." He exclaimed handing the man the money. He brushed the air around his noise away, smelling the big man from a few feet away. Stepping back, he then looked at the man and placed money in his hands.

The girl sighed in relief when the male stated that he was, indeed, the owner of the house. She followed him to the porch as he approached the fat man, she watched as he, with chubby fingers, snatched the money away from the house owner. He turned muttering unintelligent things as he began to leave "Good luck with that one, God knows you'll need it." he said. Nani narrowed her eyes at him "God also knows you need a nice long shower, and a good exercise. You know by drinking all that beer you're becoming fat?" the fat man only grunted, flicking her off as he made his way back to the van. He crawled in, and with a screech sped off without another word. Nani gave another sigh of relief as she turned and looked up at the owner of the house "I'm Nani, and thank you for saving me from spending another god awful day in those stupid shops with that fat man" she said flatly.

Grim nodded at her. "It was nothing." He said walking into the house leaving the door prompt open for her, removing his jacket top he wore a grey turtle neck under and smiled, making some food. "I hope you hungry cause, I made some tomato bisque and garlic bread, really one of the few things I can make." He said smiling as the items sat on top of the stove his hair blowing with some breeze that flew through the house from the open door. Whispers of the wind danced through the home of Grim.

Nani smiled and nodded, as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear as she walked into the home and closed the door "I'm starved, and Tomato Bisque? That sounds lovely." she said. Nani walked around and turned on the water in the sink, pumping a little soap into her hands and washing them. The girl stepped up on her tip toes to peek at the items that sat on top of the stove, she sniffed the air and and smiled contently.

Grim smiled at her reaction seeing as how she already was feeling at home. Grim then walked upstairs to the house, he put things up and carefully fixed her room a little more neat than he had already. Grim then started walking back down and saw her looking somewhat on the stove. He pet her had and made her a bowl for the bisque and a plate for the bread. "Enjoy!" He said giving her a cup of juice. He heard another knock at the door and left right before he could eat.

Nani thanked him before she took her things to the table, she sat down and ate her dinner, since her feet did not touch the ground she kicked her legs. Nani sipped the juice and turned to look as she heard a knock come at the door.

Opening the door he saw it was the ringleader of the circus he worked at. She was a voluptuous woman he appeared to be an amazon. They discuss when Grim was performing in the last show he messed up on a single part. The fact that it wasn't perfect disturbed the ring leader. She was exposing loudly how he made the whole circus look like a laughing stock that night. He tried to calm her, but in return she punched him real hard in the face from anger and left, while walking she angrily told him not to screw up tomorrow. Sighing he walked back into the kitchen after closing the door, his eye was now black instead of pale. He just sat down sadly and quietly ate his side of food a shadow casted from his hair onto his face.

Nani cringed when she heard the yelling, but she kept quiet, quickly finishing her food. She sipped her juice and turned watching the male walk to the chair and sit down, he seemed upset. She got up from her seat and moved over to him, brushing his hair aside and seeing the bruise. Narrowing her eyes slightly she tilted her head "Did that bimbo that was yelling hit you?" she asked, though it was obvious. Nani scoffed and walked to the fridge, she opened the freezer and pulled out a bag of frozen vegetables. Moving back over to Grim she reached up and pressed the frozen bag to his eye.

He held the bag in place showing a small smile. "It's fine young one really." He looked away trying to form a somewhat comfortable smile. "That was the ring leader, she was ummm, upset I wasen't completely perfect with my performance." He said remembering all the laughing, it made him uneasy. "It's fine really." He said looking away.

She tilted her head and watched as he looked away, she placed her small child-like hand on his cheek "No, it's not fine, she shouldn't have hit you and I can tell you're upset." Nani told him in a gentle voice. Nani smiled, letting her hand linger on his cheek a few more moments before pulling away and sitting back in her seat.

Grim then looked at Nani with a small frown. "I am not upset, she's just really....really stressed." He said not really mad, he was mad at all, just unknow to how he felt. "It's really important for everyone that we don't mess up." Grim sighed just leaning back in the chair. " it is complicated." He said feeling the ice melt already, and then the wound was gone. "So would you like a tour of the house?" He asked smiling at her.

Nani smiled a bit and nodded as she stood "I'd love a tour" she said. She looked around the kitchen then looked at him "Are you married? I've been with Masters who were married and have had children... They weren't good Masters of course, I don't know how their families stayed with them." she rambled on.
