So, I have this lovely looking second degree burn on my left hip. I have some nice burn cream from the doctor but it still itches and hurts like a thorn in my side. Anyone have any remedies? Or have any burn stories? :3

Kind of depressing but I used to burn myself, the best way to get a not that bad burn to stop hurting is to put cold stuff on it as fast as you can.
I need to get some of that burn cream!

Burns are one of the most not-fun things. I can't say that I've had a severe burn because I know that even a little burn like getting a splash from cooking oil hurts like crazy! I do hope that the burn heals up quickly!
You can apply a cool compress to it like a cool, wet washcloth and lay it on top of the burn or run cool water on top of it from the shower. Make sure it's not ice cold like an ice pack or anything like that to avoid tissue damage.
Wear loose clothing around that area of your body. If possible, since the location of the burn could rub against pants and probably underwear - walk around without pants or underwear when you can to avoid rubbing.
Keep the area clean to avoid infection by using mild soap and water and pat it dry with a cloth - if you are going to touch the burn, wash your hands first and/or put on some gloves after to avoid infection.
