I found this site on the web and it has been truly a blessing to come across and offers those who are standing in their marriage a lot of hope and same for the prodigals.
Here is the Rejoice Marriage Ministries website by Bob and Charlyne Steinkamp:

Terminology on the website:
Stander: The spouse in the marriage that wants it all to work out by praying to God and reading God's word daily even in the event of a separation or divorce. A stander continues to stand even when things don't look hopeful because God offers hope (even in the heartbreaking event of the other person finds another man/woman). They continue to stand in firm belief that God will bring their spouse home. (Sometimes the stander is the one who had initiated a separation/divorce and realized they had been wrong).
Prodigal: The spouse in the marriage that has generally said, "I won't come back."/"Nothing you say can change my mind" and the one who has usually initiated a divorce or separation. They are the ones that have generally left out the door or have asked their spouse to leave, and perhaps trying to find a new partner to fill a void where their spouse once was.
