"To protect the future generations from the harm and evil influences of others." It is a goal , a motto, a way of living.  Aurora, the matriach of this herd, never wants anyone to experience the hardships she has. To live in fear of the dangers out there, a terrifying and horrid thing. No filly or colt, no foal, no mare or stallion.... they should not live in fear. This herd is the embodiment of protection. No one will be turned away, not even evil-looking creatures as long as they aim to protect others or change their ways and wish no ill will toward the herd.

Rules
- All are equal. Though there may be a matriarch, all share an equal responsibility in protecting one another.
- None who aim to hurt others may be a part of this herd.

Roles
Matriarch - Head of the herd
Protector - Mate to the Matriarch
Heir - That who will take the role of head of the herd when Aurora steps down
Head Knight - The one who trains the new recruits for the Knights. He or She will also have the responsibility in reporting to the Matriarch.
Knights - Main protectors of the herd. They are the main force.
Recruits - The newest of the new, those who wish to learn how to protect others efficiently and want to become Knights.
Scouts - The warning system. They report directly to the Head Knight with any details, such as other herds nearby or enemies.
Teachers - The tutors to the new generation. They teach many of the life skills necessary to survive and thrive.
Nannies - The "babysitters" to baskets and foals. They keep the younguns from being under-hoof and out of others' hair.
Guardians - Protectors of the little ones, as well as sometimes surrogate parents to those who have lost their families.
Oracle - The prophet, the seer of the group. There is only ever one Oracle at a time, unless the Matriarch sees fit to have more.
Acolytes - These Soquili are under the Oracle, being taught the mystic ways, including the gods the herd follows and the spiritual ways to teach foals.
Tainted - This is the first stage that any evil breeds go through before being accepted into the herd. It is a period of undetermined time where the individual is under the scrutiny of all members until they show they have good intentions and aim to protect the values of the herd.
Little Ones - All foals who are overseen by the Nannies and Guardians.
Other roles are possible if there is good reasoning behind them existing. Feel free to put forward ideas!

Having Aurora and/or her family interact with the Thunderbird herd would be interesting. Stormwild also had baskets killed before the 'hatched' due to a skinwalker attack - she's had a lot of time and reflection dealing with the loss of her children. She feels like she should have been able to protect them better.

Mews- Sorry, been busy. I AM interested in this herd; I have several soquili who might fit the role, one of which being my boy who is going to be trying for Elderhood; I was looking to make a 'haven/safe' herd with him, but this might work out well. He's an older (ICly) stallion who will be reevaluating life razz I can give ya more info later on, still working on his plotsss.
But yes, I'd be interested in him being involved.
