In the drama, there are judicial cases that he goes and look to the people eyes to find out the truth...

A man that was released from prison a few months ago, killed the mother of the witness that made him go to jail 10 years ago. That criminal is very smart, he hided from everyone his plans, his grudge and was able to make a murder without any hints that it was a murder. Only the guy that can read people's mind know the truth.
I know it's just a fiction, but I believe in reality there are plenty of cases like this (minus the guy that can reads minds)...
