It is commonly known that Vampires and Humans have always been mortal enemies. Vampires see Humans as an unlimited food source, and Humans see Vampires as blood-sucking demons. Vampires have been a terror of the night to Humans for centuries, and the Humans did nothing about it...until now.
The Humans have begun to fight back; to create a defense against Vampires. The old legends of garlic and holy water are replaced with modern, lethal weapons; weapons that can actually inflict harm upon the Vampires. For the Vampires, this is shocking; Humans are no longer easy prey.
A war has now begun. The Human fight to end the Vampire's reign of terror over them while the Vampires fight for their ability to hunt Humans with ease. Neither side will give up the fight, and a truce is out of the question. Any form of alliance or friendship between them is completely forbidden.
A Human girl is injured in a battle; left behind by her comrades. This is no ordinary girl; she is one of the top Vampire hunters in the Human city of Tamriel, and she just happens to be the daughter of the Head Hunter; the man who began the war against Vampires. This is the first time the girl has been injured in battle, and her injury prevents her from being able to stealthily move away from the battlefield. It is only a matter of time before her comrades realize they left her behind, but by the time they come to her aid, will it be too late?
Vampires are still roaming the battlefield, and it is only a matter of time before one of the Vampires, a 'knight' of the coven, finds the girl still alive. Vampires will kill Humans on sight, so what will become of the Human Hunter? It's up to the knight to decide.

A large forest separated the city of Tamriel and the Vampire Coven; this was known as the no-man's land between the opposing sides. Very few beings, whether they be Human or Vampire, ventured here. Each side held patrols on their edge of the forest to prevent any unwanted 'visitors' from entering their land. This forest was a dark forest, for it had seen much bloodshed since the war began. It was the battleground; the place where the Humans and Vampires fought bitterly and frequently, with neither side gaining the upper hand. Yes, the Vampires had enhanced speed and strength, but the Human Hunters were well trained to almost match those abilities. Whatever they lacked in strength and speed, they made up for it in their skill with weapons. A battle had ended but a short time ago, in a large clearing located in the center of the forest. The Human warriors had left the battlefield; leaving only their dead behind...or so they thought. A Human girl lay among the dead; her body completely still besides the subtle rising and falling of her chest as she took quiet, pained breaths. She was surrounded by dead bodies; both Human and Vampire. She had been fighting well as she always did, but she had made a grave mistake. She had been saving one of her comrades when she was ambushed. She should have been on her guard; she should have seen it coming. But she hadn't. She had been able to kill the Vampires, but not before one of them managed to severely wound her. There was a long gash beginning on her right shoulder blade that curved down to her left hip. She could deal with the searing pain, but she knew she couldn't move without attracting the Vampires' attention. She could hear them stalking the battlefield, looking for survivors. Any time now...one would find her. She knew this...she had to leave. She was near the edge of the battlefield, so it would be possible for her to escape if she was careful. However, she was quickly losing blood, and the battle had taken a lot of energy out of her. She could barely move without pain shooting through her back. She scolded herself severely in her mind for not being careful enough as she slowly and quietly began to move towards the line of trees.

Praveena had slowly began to move her body towards the trees; looking back momentarily to see whether any of the Vampires had noticed her. She could see that the Vampires on the battlefield were busy feeding from bodies that were already dead. The sight and thought of that disgusted her, and she pressed on; needing to get out of that place. She could smell the thick scent of blood in the air, and the ground beneath her was soaked in blood. This was not somewhere she needed to be. She looked up at the crescent moon, wishing she was back at home with the others. No. There was no time for weakness now. She needed to focus on getting away from this place without drawing attention to himself. However...the more she moved, the more blood she lost, and the closer she came to losing consciousness. Her limbs were beginning to grow weak, and her vision was slowly beginning to blur. She had managed to make it into the trees when she heard something. The cool night breeze was rustling the leaves of the trees, and among the soft sound of the trees, she could hear something else. Footsteps. She stopped, and even with her blurry vision, she could make out a pair of bright, ruby red eyes. She froze, knowing there was no way she could move away from this Vampire; not when she was this injured. Her emerald green eyes gazed at his ruby red ones as she slowly moved her hand to the hilt of her weapon. She may have a huge disadvantage, but she wasn't going out without a fight. the question was...how much of a fight did she have left in her? Her vision was still fading, she had lost a lot of blood, and she was weakened from battle. This...was not good.

Faced to face in the darkness, Aaron slowly crouched to get a better look of his prey. Prey? No, she was much more then a feeble human being, she had something more. He could see the fierceness in her eyes and he knew better. He pinned one of her hands that was reaching for her weapon to avoid un-necessary violence, and tilted her chin up with his free hand. He gazed at the beautiful elegant features of her face, but what caught his interest was those gleaming emerald eyes. He knew she was going to lose consciousness any moment, and he couldn't lose this strange human hunter, he didn't understand it. "I'm giving you another chance.." He began "For right now.. I'm God." As he finished his sentence, he exposed her wound and pressed his cold lips against her bleeding shoulder. The aura that drifted from his mouth seemed to slowly yet carefully close her wound. It was strange, this feeling that suddenly overcame him, and his willingness to save a human. What was it?

Praveena was ready for a fight when the Vampire approached her. She could see him crouching, and just as her hand was about to reach the hilt of her weapon, he pinned it down. She did not have enough strength to struggle against his firm hold, but she could still fight back. However, that will to fight left her when he tilted her chin up and gazed at her face. Her emerald eyes gazed into his ruby eyes as she noticed that his intentions were not malevolent...not from what she could see. His grip on her hand was not aggressive, and the way he had gently tilted her chin up...she didn't understand. She listened to his voice when he spoke, and for reason his voice was soothing to her. But she still couldn't understand...he was giving her a second chance? Why didn't he just kill her now? Her eyes widened slightly when he exposed her wound and his cold lips touched her shoulder. Immediately, she could feel her wound slowly closing. Normally, she would have been struggling, but she remained still. Why was this Vampire healing her? Why? Her thoughts were racing as the pain began to slowly subside.

Praveena's confusion increased when he shielded her from the other Vampires. Why was he doing this? His voice calmed her as he whispered in her ear. She stayed quiet as he told her to; which for her was unbelievable. What happened next, completely baffled her. She felt his wrap his arms around her and carry her to safety. Besides the fact that he was being so gentle with her, and keeping her safe, what confused her was that she felt so safe in his arms...as if she was no longer in danger. She was still weak from blood loss, but thanks to him, her wound was no longer paining her. As he carried her to safety, she looked up at his face now that her vision had cleared. His eyes were still ruby red, but from her knowledge of Vampires, she knew they were naturally a different color. The features of his face seemed to be sharp, as if by nature he was cold and serious...but she could see something beneath that. What was happening...she was born to hunt Vampires...and now she was completely calm as one was carrying her to an unknown location. She was vulnerable, and far from any Human aid. Yet...she still felt safe. What was it about this Vampire that made her feel this way?

Praveena felt him set her down on a wood floor in what seemed to be a desolate shack. She slowly forced herself to stand up, and had to cling to the wall for support. She stood with her back leaning against the wall; closing her eyes for a moment as her head started swimming. Once she felt steady, she opened her eyes and wearily looked at him too. She had no energy to fend him off if he decided to attack her, and even though he had just saved her, it was not in her nature to be able to trust him...even though she had felt so safe with him. She pushed those thoughts out of her mind and silently looked at him. He seemed to be just as confused as she was, judging by the way he was gripping his head. She then heard him speak, and didn't know what to think. He had saved her, but he was still a Vampire...what he had done could get both of them in huge trouble. But that wasn't what concerned her. Why had he gone against his nature, instead of killing her? When she spoke, her voice was somewhat weak because of her lack of energy, but it did not lack the fierceness she still had; a fierceness that was masking the confusion and feeling of security she had felt. She uttered one word; "Why."

For some reason this scene gave him some sort of satisfaction, and rule. Praveena was still stained with blood, and Aaron had no intention of taking the remaining blood in her body. Her shoulder, still bare, Aaron licked a tiny of blood that rested on her shoulder then continued. "How about, a life for life.. Be my huntress?" He said as a tiny smirk swept across his face. Day break was near, and Praveena didn't know it but, the territory Aaron took her to was right near the human citadel. A couple miles away, Aaron could hear and sense the presence of humans scouting the area, and being seen by another other then Praveena would not please him. He pushed a couple strands of hair away from her face and left her with a couple words before making his great escape back to the Vampire Coven. "Stay alive til I return." He bowed politely before making his leave, and after that, he vanished into the shadows.
