April 14th, 2014 began like any day.
It was clear and blue, a soft breeze adding a n** to the otherwise warm day. Birds sang and bees buzzed, and the world went about its way.
But the evening turned harsh and cold within a matter of minutes.
Dark cruel looking clouds rolled in, swollen with electricity and rain.
Without any notice it erupted.
The ground shuttered with the beat of thunder as it clashed.
The air itself sizzled and came alive as lightning streaked across the sky and spiked into the soil.
All night it rained and poured; all night long the night was alive with noise.

When morning came the earth was soggy, the air still wet, but that was not what drew attention to the little town of Lockeheart.
For with the first rays of morning figures could be seen standing on the hills, raising in the street.
Humans who looked just like you or me, save the garb they wore.
The storm had ripped open the fabric of time and now people from the past and the future were walking around in our present day.

"Nuggggnn..." Blythe rolled onto her back and looked up at the sterling grey of the early morning sky. She felt chilled to the bone and soaking wet. Sitting up, her squeezed her eyes shut as her brain spun. Clamping her hands over her ears at the sudden ringing within them, she swooned slightly. Wait a minute, she thought, wiggling her fingers through the hair above her ears, Where are my headphones?! Her eyes flashed open, the one uncovered one being a brilliant blue. Climbing to her feet, Blythe's gaze stayed on the ground as she walked in a slow circle around the sidewalk. It was not long before she spotted the white spiked surface she had been seeking, and picked the contraption up. "Great. Wonderful." Water poured out of the earpads and one could hear more sloshing inside. Tossing back her electric pink head to glare at the sky, the action was cut off when she finally took in her surroundings. "What the glob?" She recognized nothing of this place. The wooden store fronts and shining windows gleamed out at here. Tree's lined the streets on both side. Blythe's breath caught in her throat as she walked up the nearest tree and nervously outstretched her hands. Her fingers shook as she closed the space between her skin and the bark, yet she couldn't bring herself to touch the tree. "This cannot be for true. Plants to not grow outside."

Jake groaned as he sat up slowly. He felt light headed and a little dizzy. He had been walking home from work when a storm hit. He had started to run to shelter, but he obviously didn't make it. He must've tripped and hit his head. He ran his hands through his hair and checked for blood. "Okay, good. No blood, but I did feel a good sized bump." He said as he stood up and dusted off his blue jeans. He also wore a plain red t-shirt and a pair of converse today.

He looked around to get a bearing on his surroundings and couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. He spotted a girl with electric pink hair and one eye covered over across the street. "Maybe she can help me out., he thought to himself as he crossed the street. He waved at the girl as he said, "Uh, excuse me. Do you by any chance know what happened, or what street corner I'm on?"

((When I read your post I couldn't help but feel like I was reading Spider-man 2099. They like to use term like "bit-head" or "jam it" or even "what the shock!" Seeing "what the glob" reminded me of it.))

Hearing a voice, Blythe dropped her hand and turned slowly to face the male across the street. She blinked once and squinted. Her bandage had gotten soggy and was making it hard to keep her eyes open. Lifting a hand she ripped the clothe away and rubbed her now uncovered left eye. A thin silver scar ran diagonal from the inner corner of her eyebrow and down to the outer corner of her cheekbone. The second eye that focused on the boy was the same shade of pink as her hair. "You are in my dream. I mean, look- foliage and it is just growing on the street. Trees don't do that. So it has be a dream." Her attention drifted back off to the trees and she murmured, "Plants grow in green houses. Not out in the world."

Echo walked around the football field, her heart beating quickly. What happened last night? Where am I? The mud squished under her feet as she made her way across the deserted school. Nothing looked at all familiar to the short female, and she couldn't rid herself of the queasy unease that had formed in the pit of her stomach.
