[ Graduation Dungeon ] Astra [FIN]

She had been sleeping peacefully, wrapped up in her warm bed and dreaming thoughts of nice things for once. The forests she lived in, glowing butterflies, Yuki, things that calmed her soul.

That was until the gnomes came. Before she had a clue what was going on her dreamland was destroyed. A muffled squeak, a gagged then shoved into her mouth. They had no trouble tying her up due to the fae not being much bigger then they were, and carted her off to somewhere else. She couldn't figure out where, as they kept changing course until she didn't know which was left or right.

And then she was suddenly let go, hitting the stone floor with a thump. Her binds were gone, but so where the gnomes. All that was here was a giant door with a banner overhead.

Astra stared at the banner, open mouthed in sheer disbelief. This...couldn't be what she thought it was...B-but it was written there! 'Welcome to graduation'

Sweet sally she was graduating

The doors were a little hard to open, considering they were so large. Astra pushed as hard as she could until there was a small enough opening for her to slip through.

Since this was graduation, she had assumed there would be some giant monster they would have to fight, or some hunter or..something. But there was nothing here...Wait, there was something here. A chair, plain and simple.

The urge to sit on the chair couldn't be ignored, and so she sat down on it. Okay then maybe something would-

"ANNDDD NOW IT'S TIME FOR; GHASTLY INTERVIEWS WITH YOUR FAVORITE HOST, CRYPTIC CRAAAAIIGG!"

A cheesy tune boomed inside Astra's ears as she was suddenly bathed in spotlight, little confetti fluttering around her as a ghostly figure floated around her. The sound of the audience applause could be heard, but she was unsure weather it was a actual TV audience, or just a recording of it.

"On todays show we have a charming little ghoul by the name of Astra, who is currently attending her graduation ceremony. She had spent a harrowing 3 years at Amityville Acdemy, one of the most prestigious schools in all of halloween. Tell me Astra, how do you feel?

A michrophone was shoved in her face.

"Umm...good?"

"What will you do after the ceremony!"

"er, sleep?"

"Any ideas to your career?"

"Oh! Potions brewer!"

"AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!" More applause followed as the fae was suddenly ushered out of the chair, and towards the next room. "TUNE IN NEXT TIME FOR ANOTHER AW INSPIRING STORY-"

"But I only answer three-

"ON CRYPTIC INTERVIEWS!"

It didn't look like she was going to be able to say anything else, so she walked off as more confetti fell around.

The next room looked just as empty as the first. Actually it was more empty, there were no chairs here to sit on. What exactly was she-

"Oy, move out of the way!"

A tall ghoul shoved the fae out of the way, and continued moving down the hallway. A boil soon followed, and so did another. And another. Soon the school hallway was filled with students, and Astra was left trying to get ouf of the crowd.

"What are you standing there for, shorty!"

"Out of the way midget!"

Astra glared at the ones who insulted her, but was soon jostled to the ground by more students aiming to get past by stepping over or even in the fairy. Soon all she could hear was laughing and sneering comments, all about her size. The cruel remarks angered Astra, hot tears brimming at the edges of her eyes as she desperately fought to get out of the crowd. They began to laugh about that too.

"Aww, does the widdle baby want a widdle bottle?"

"SHUT UP!" She cried out, her anger and shame reaching a boiling point, and she pushed, bit, and shoved to get out of the hallway, pushing hard on the door to the next room.

Taking a stumble, Astra nearly tripped and fell over in her haste to get away from the crowd. She stopped herself by grabbing onto the edge of a desk, the edges covered in green vines that snaked around the furniture.

With watery eyes, she wiped away tears as she took in her surroundings. All around there were shelves covered with bottles of various ingredients, plants growling along the walls with exotic flowers filling the air with a fragrant perfume. The desk she had grabbed onto had a litter of items scattered around, obviously potion components. And in the middle of the room stood a large bubbling cauldron, the contents inside glowing a ominous green.

Her eyes lit up at everything she took in. This room was just like the one her father worked in when he made his potions. The delicious smells, the feel of FEAR emanating from the room as he would spend hours perfecting a potion, it had all enchanted her so much. Always she had wanted to go in, and perform the amazing feats of magic that she knew her father was doing.

Cauciously, she approached the cauldron, turning to look at a open book on the desk. It appeared the contents was some sort of relaxant, something to ease the mind when stressed. Taking a ladle, she scooped up a portion of the brew and took a small sip.

She must have done a good job, for she was feeling better already.

As soon as she left the safety of the room, Astra felt the white mist envelop her in it's cold grasp. She screamed as the insanity permeated deep within her, wiping away all memories, fears, worries. Nothing remained but a hunger that all but consumed her mind.

Her body had grown, fulled by the insanity so now she towered over the island.. Tiny beings came out and fired strange items at her, but she knocked them away with a massive hand. Something within her reveled at this new found size. She wasn't the smallest anymore. She would be the one to step on others, to swat them away like pesky flies.

The tiny things fought back, but their attacks were futile. They were ignored as she laid waste to the island of Deux Ex.

Suddenly, Astra was back to normal. Shaking violently she ran towards the next room, moving through the doors and then froze in place, looking up in sheer awe.

Of course. She had to fight something.

Sigh

The knight was the first to attack, swinging it's large spear against the far. She barely dodged it, then countered with a few well aimed knives.

Astra then realized her mistake, focusing to much on her attack and not moving. As a floating target, she was quickly smacked out of the sky and left to skid across the floor.

Quick to recover, Astra flew low over the ground to gain ground, shooting up once she was close enough so she could fire her leaves right into the knights visor.

Before she could fly away, she felt the knifes hand grasp her around the middle, and flinched as she felt it tighten his grip.

Struggling with all her might, Astra managed to get a hand free and stabbed the knights hand, forcing him to let go. She quickly recovered before hitting the ground and flew up. Perhaps now she could finish him off now?

When she flew at the boss, using as much power as she could muster, the knight just docked out of the way.

Frustrated, Astra began to fight once again.
