 In 2005, Scitoh and Serayoth sparked what would be the beginning of a great LSG tradition. The first LSG X-mas Giveaway was a smashing success, granting holiday wishes, many of which were 03 donation items, to over 150 guild members. We received well over 1,000,000 gold in member donations alone, and were able to give out several pairs of horns, laurels, and slippers. The combined efforts of every event participant resulted in a joyous Gaian holiday for all.
In 2006 we had an even more amazing record. Generous members donated over 1.5 million in pure alone to grant 141 gifts in under a month.
For 2008 we raised over 700,000 in pure gold alone, and granted 70 wishes! What now? (2009 and 2010 did not exist.)

Anyone With 1000+ LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 15,000 gold or less.
Anyone With 1500+ LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 25,000 gold or less.
Anyone With 2000+ LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 50,000 gold or less.
• Up to 20,000 pure gold INSTEAD OF an item.
Anyone With 3000+ LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 75,000 gold or less.
• Up to 30,000 pure gold INSTEAD OF an item.
Anyone With 6000+ LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 100,000 gold or less.
• Up to 60,000 pure gold INSTEAD OF an item.
Anyone With OVER 9000 LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 125,000 gold or less.
• Up to 90,000 pure gold INSTEAD OF an item.
Anyone With 12000+ LSG Posts May Wish For:
• Any item worth 150,000 gold or less.
• Up to 120,000 pure gold INSTEAD OF an item.
If you quit the guild, your old post-count still applies. If you have mules, their posts count as well.

1. One wish per person.
Please be courteous. No using mules or secret accounts for extra wishes.
2. Wish for an item you truly want and will use, not just something to resell.
Please do not ask for an item only to turn around and resell it. Tons of LSGers have donated and put a lot of hard work into this giveaway, and to abuse our efforts in such a way would be downright cruel.
3. Be patient; do not hassle us.
Please be mature about this. It would be nice if you'd appreciate everyone's generous efforts instead of whining about the post-count system or how you didn't get your wish first. We try our hardest to grant as many wishes as possible.
4. Wish within your post count category.
Same rules apply as last year with the post-count base. While I regret having to do it this way, I hate when people I've never even seen in the guild before post requesting expensive items and then vanish. With this system, people who contribute to the guild during the year will get something back, instead of those who join just for the holiday program and post frantically to try and qualify for a wish.
5. You CAN wish for:
• Any Gaia Online item (store or marketplace) within your post category.
• Any amount of gold within your category IN PLACE OF an item.
6. You CAN NOT wish for:
• Any item outside of your post category's range.
• Any amount of Gaia gold outside of your post category's range.
• Multiple items that amount to your category's gold limit. ONE ITEM only.
• Signs, real items, or anything that cannot be purchased with Gaia gold.
• Items we do not have the power to grant. (Minis, etc.)
7. You may wish freely until December 23rd.
All wishes need to be in by 12/23. I will begin buying gifts at approximately midnight CST on 12/24 (or as close as I can get to then). I will give out gifts until 12/31. This might change as it's just an estimate for now.

I have enough posts for a category, but they're on my mules.
You can total posts on your mules and main accounts to get into a category. It's still you, so it counts.
Why is the program post-count based?
Post count is really the only way (other than knowing if someone lurks all the time or not) of determining active members in the guild. I want to reward the people who make LSG a community, and not those who are inactive the rest of the year and only come on for the Christmas program. Last year we had people who only had one guild post, and that post was in the Christmas thread, asking for horns and laurels. They left immediately after the one post. Of course, their wishes were denied, but doing that in the first place is astoundingly annoying and inconsiderate, so I want to make sure it doesn't happen at all this year.
How can I help?
The best way to help us is also the simplest: donating. Not to sound greedy, but we need all the gold and items we can get. We're doing this for you guys, so your contributions will essentially be circled back to you when you get your own wish granted.
Can I be an elf or a "special helper"?
Yeah, bring me some booze.
When does the program end?
Whenever I ******** feel like it.
Why are there gold limits on even the highest categories this year?
Last year we gave away a ton of horns, laurels, and slippers. Though they were each worth 100,000 gold or less, it was still a lot to spend on one person. This year I want everyone to get their wishes granted instead of us spending days collecting for expensive wishes for a few select people.
Can I change my wish?
If you have made a wish and have changed your mind, as long as it has not yet been granted, you can post here requesting that it be changed. Once we grant a wish and give you the item, though, you can not give it back.
Why did someone after me on the list get their wish first?
I like to skip around when granting wishes. I may try to get more expensive items out of the way first, or grant wishes to donators before non-donators. Sometimes I just feel like switching things up a little.
I am questing for a gift for a friend. Can I use my wish for that item and give it to them?
If you want to use your wish to get an item for a friend, I don't care. As long as you don't make a wish intending to profit off our efforts by reselling the item, you can do pretty much whatever you want with the it. Equip it, store it, regift it... As long as greed wasn't your intention. I suppose there's no way to tell, but I'm hoping you'll respect us enough not to do that. I forget... do we PM you our wishes or do we just say what we want here? Hmmmm.... thinkin' it's the latter. Whatevs! I'm in the 9000 post category, so I'd like to get Apato the Longneck, please! If it ends up going above 50k, then I'd like E-VO instead. :3
