[1v1] FASHION FIGHT (Freya and Sophie)

Freya returned to the gym after recovering from her painful playtime with Kettil, clad in her Sunday best. Which of course meant heels, hotpants, a tight shirt, sunglasses, gloves, and a hat. No accessory was left behind. No jewelry left unworn. She was ready to rumble in an outfit that would make it impossible to actually hit her this time.

If you were Kettil.

She did not expect anyone else to try and fight her in that getup.

She did not plan for other people to be in the gym. Ever. Or for other people to even exist. Planning was not her forte. Clothes were.

To say Sophie was not a fighter would be the understatement of the millennium. Sure she'd landed a few good hits here and there but for the most part, she served no real purpose on a battle field except to heal and be the enemies punching bag. Undead or not, some of the enemies she'd faced hit hard. She'd surprised herself during the house cup while participating in the sporting events. So maybe she had the potential to learn how to fight. Or at least to take a punch. She was determined to try, anyway.

The new founded determination was what brought her to the gym. It didn't occur to her she should perhaps wear clothes that were easier to move in. Or perhaps it did but how often was she going to be fighting in gym gear. It would make sense to learn to move with her usual clothing, right? So, dressed in a pair of brown high waisted shorts with a cream coloured top - frilly hems and bow included - the undead ghoul was halfheartedly smacking the dummy before her.

She let out a sigh and let her arms drop to her sides. This wasn't going exactly as she planned. She turned for no reason in particular and noticed the ghoul who walked in. She wasn't wearing gym clothes - not by a long shot - and Sophie wondered if maybe she was a teacher, even though she seemed a bit too young. Though she kept her attention on the other ghoul, Sophie pathetically slapped at the dummy to try and look busy.

"How is she meant to fight in heels?" she wondered out loud - perhaps a little too loudly.

It was the sound of her voice - quiet, but just loud enough for Freya to have caught it. She looked down at her heels, picking her foot up to see them, and then snickered under her breath. She didn't know how to walk in not heels, at this point. The last time she'd worn flats was..

..

Did she own flats? She had to own flats. She owned sneakers. Did those count as flats? Was she standing there asking herself questions in silence this whole time? Yes she was.

"Hay!" Freya called out, hopping closer to the ghoul with a bright, friendly, and perhaps just a little feral grin. "Wants teh finds out?"

Sophie jumped a little at the sound of the ghoul calling out to her and she took a few steps back as she came towards her; looking very much like a deer in head lights. She was worried she had said the wrong thing; but the smile was reassuring, though also a little frightening in its own way, too. Sophie took a deep breath and straightened up, clearing her throat as she smooth down her clothes; acting as if nothing had happened.

For a brief moment she lifted her hands to fight and then she let out a huff and let them fall to her sides. "I don't really know what to do."

Freya had been all hyped up for a fight, but the ghoul seemed to be at a loss, and that took a bit of the fire out of her. She stopped smiling, and walked up, taking both of Sophie's hands and returning them to the position she'd attempted. Then she made sure both hands were curled into fists, defending her core, and backed away.

"Yes yeh duu!" Freya chirped out. "Yeh tries teh hits me! And yeh tries teh keeps me from hittings yeh! That's all!"

Freya paused, before putting her own dukes up. "Oh, ja. And yeh has fun. Gots teh has fun! Now hits me!"

She blinked, looking at her tiny hands curled into fists before looking back up at the ghoul. She squared her body and then let her arm shoot out at the ghoul. It barely hit and Sophie stumbled past, almost losing her balance. She came to a stop and turned to face her opponent, raising her hands like she did before.

Okay, so she wasn't off to a great start; but she was at least trying. She steadied her form and her eyes narrowed in concentration. She'd give it her all.

Freya didn't expect the ghoul to land a fatal blow in her first hit - especially if she wasn't used to this kind of thing before. But she'd tried, and that was all that mattered. "Good job!" Freya cheered, especially when she put her hands back up for another attempt. Freya bent down and socked her right in the stomach; not too hard, but enough to knock the wind out of her. She wasn't really used to boxing herself either, and she'd probably turn this, much like any other fight, into a wrestling match soon enough. But until then, it was good to try out new things.

"Come on, don't stops now!"

Freya's lip wibbled at the pathetic attempt to punch her, and she broke, letting out a wail.

"ACH, YEHR SO CUUUUUTE!" She squealed, choosing instead to barrel into Sophie and give her a big, old fashioned valkyrie bear hug. "What's yehr name, little cutie? I am Freya!"

Sophie was knocked back onto the ground with a thud. It didn't hurt but it was a rather awkward position to be in and she squirmed in the arms of the Valkyrie, trying to wriggle her arms free. She grunted a little. "Sophie," she gasped out as she pulled her arm free. Wiggling a little more, she pulled her body out a little more and angled her legs, bending her knee and sending it at the other ghoul's stomach.

As soon as it hit, Sophie let out a gasp and put her hands over her mouth, scrambling backwards. "Oh no I'm sorry! I didn't think I'd actually hit you that hard. Are you okay?"

Freya felt the thunk of a knee into her stomach, and she dropped back, holding her gut with one arm for a moment while she caught her breath. She winced, but grinned. "No, no, is good, good hits! Very good! Is nice teh meets yeh, Sophie!"

And now that Sophie had started to let go, Freya could too. yay!

She summoned a giant, guillotine bladed axe, which thudded on the ground the moment it solidified, and whipped it around to knock Sophie with it. "Haiyaaaaa, lets me have it ghouly!"

"Ack!" The blade hit hard and even though she had tried to cross her arms to brace for it, she wasn't ready for the force behind the swing. Really, she should have expected it; it was huge and the ghoul obviously knew how to use it. So she was knocked flying, body rolling a few times before it finally skidded to a stop and Sophie looked up at the cieling, blinking for a few moments. This was gonna hurt in the morning. She pulled herself up, dusted herself off and then walked back to their 'arena'.

She took her stance again but this time instead of punching, she kicked. It was awkward and she didn't really know where she was aiming but it connected and she only stumbled a little. "It's nice to meet you too," she smiled in between breaths.

Aww, s**t.

Freya immediately de-summoned her weapon when Sophie flew across the floor. She hadn't meant to send her packing, she'd only meant - ah, who was she kidding, she hadn't been thinking at all! She would have run over to help, but Sophie was already back up and kicking at her, ready to continue the spar. Freya's eyes were tearing up, brimming with pride.

"Ach, good kick!" She complimented, before dancing around until she was at Sophie's side, and giving her a nice punch against it. "Yehr really gettings teh hangs of this!"

Sophie took the hit and this time managed to not stumble back. However, it still hurt and she swung her arm around to try and counter-attack. Sadly, her aim was incredibly off and her fist through the air, the rest of Sophie following. She lay on the ground for a moment, once again finding herself blinking up at the ceiling though this time it was her own fault.

She climbed to her feet. "Uh.. That one didn't happen..," she mumbled sheepishly before guarding for the next attack.
