it's the internet + comic book adaptations, of course there's going to be a lot of bitching about it
but yeah she seems a good fit. she'll probably just train/hit the gym for the duration of filming anyway

I haven't seen any backlash because she's an Israeli, most of the s**t I see is all "SHE'S TOO SMALL FOR THE PART, WONDER WOMAN HAS MORE MUSCLES"

I really don't care that much about comic stuff so maybe my opinion might not count as much but I don't see the big deal at all. I also haven't actually seen any of the fuss about it.
HOWEVER, I've never heard of this woman before which is a little surprising!

Wonder woman is supposed to be an Amazon.
Looking at a picture of this lady I am unsure that going to the gym is going to get her buff enough to get the proper visual image.

Going from the source, AKA COMIC BOOKS NOT THE ORIGINAL MYTHOLOGY I AM PRETTY SURE AMAZONS DIDN'T WEAR THINGS LIKE THAT, she is pretty tall and...I wouldn't say buff. Like they don't much show her as someone with a ton of definition or anything. Point being is that gyms exist, people use them, especially people preparing for a role in a movie.

Because more is better, even with boobs.
However, the original Wonder Woman in the old series I grew up idolizing as a kid, was NOT buff at all.
