The herd's home ranges from the lower Hot Springs, where they have their tea brewing centered, down onto the river plain that runs off the mountain, and a range of the forest surrounding the river. The range of this herd is large, because of the needs of the herd. With no hands to make fire, boiling water is a problem. They settled this issue by using the Hot Springs for their tea making. Around the Hot Springs, they have places set up for the serving of tea, and drinking it. The springs they favor are in natural mini-valleys in the mountains, creating a natural tea garden.
Thanks to the river that runs through the lands, it is very fertile, making this a near perfect home for their tea growing operations. The lower mountains are also used to grow their tea bushes, as the river making its way down creates excellent conditions for the bushes. The river plain provides room for them to farm the herbs that grow best under cultivation. Moving out from the plains, into the woods that also are encompassed in the range of their herd, foragers seek the best of the wild herbs, both to bring back for cultivation, and for use. Not all herbs do well cultivated, after all, so they needed these forests to make sure they never over-harvest one region. And of course, there's nothing like a hot cup of home brewed Raspberry tea from the forest's berries.

Beliefs & Traditions

Welcoming Ceremony
The white leaf brew and drink tea with guests as a promise of peace and of their protection while you share their home. Sharing the ceremony with the Alpha, Jase, is a promise of peace and protection with the entire herd.

Weddings
When two members of the white leaf join together they spend time before the ceremony making a new tea blend. During the ceremony they each bring a pouch and blend the tea for their guests. This becomes their family's signature blend. When their children find their own mates they may take all or part of their parent's blend to create their own.

Brewers who specialize in fermented drinks have a similar ceremony, only they only perform the first few steps of their fermentation process (adding the ingredients which best represent their new blend) before breaking out per-prepared kegs for the guests to enjoy.

Births and Adoption
Births and adoptions are treated much the same way by the white leaf. The family's tea is enjoyed by the revelers, then they all run through the woods and pastures, scattering seeds from the family's plants.

An abundance of a plant used in your family's blend is an omen of good health and prosperity.

Funerals & Remembrance
Every member of the White Leaf is buried with seeds from their family's blend. These plants are tended to with the greatest of care by the remaining family who often combine the use of objects along with careful trimming to craft the plant into a work of art. Teas prepared from these plants are only consumed by herd members and are never shared with outsiders.

On holy days and anniversaries, living friends and relatives conduct private ceremonies where they brew their family blend while speaking to the deceased. The brew is brought to the grave site where one cup is poured onto the plant, one cup in drunken by the relative, and a third cup is left by the stem of the plant. The following day the remaining cup is brought to the fields and poured over their current crop, a sign of hope for the future.

Brewers who specialize in fermented drinks will make teas from their base ingredients as offerings.
