Okay, so have internet hooked up to it, but when I tried setting up the weather and news info and it says its "Discontinued"

What the ******** is going on?

Well that's unfortunate. They probably dropped support for the Wii network in favor of the Wii U. I don't' know that for certain; don't have either of those systems. You might want to look around for news elsewhere.

This happened to my Wii all the time. Just start up the App thing and it'll update every now and then. Honestly, don't bother with it. I can't begin to tell you how many times this happened to me when I had my Wii lol
