Sorry to hear that you were laid off. There seems to be a lot of that going around.

90 day probationary period upon being hired in October, it was nearly over. During probationary period my supervisor or someone is to do a performance evaluation to evaluate how I'm doing, at which point the probationary period ends, can be extended, or employee can be dismissed.
Someone I saw very little of did an evaluation and said I was tardy too much, and didn't know enough about the clinic to properly help patients and I wasn't getting patients' insurance cards like I was supposed to, so they were exercising their right to dismiss me. Literally.. 2 working days before my probationary period was over. Completely out of the blue, because no one ever addressed any of these concerns to me or my supervisor, who for the record didn't want to dismiss me and thought I was doing a good job.
So. It sucks but I'm trying to look at it as a chance to find a job or something that I actually LIKE to do instead of another job that I hate. So there's that.

I'm so sorry to hear this. How has the new job hunt been going?

I haven't really been hunting. Just helping my mom by watching my brothers and taking the older one to school. My counselor wanted me to find a career test, like a personality thing that will tell me what jobs I might be suited for, but I'm having a hard time find one that's actually free.
