Sebastet just gave a soft chuckle at Hope's disbelief over her mother pulling any kind of prank and followed her into the garden, pausing just inside of it to enjoy the beauty of it. It was a tame place as far as she was concerned, but it was beautiful. Then Hope was moving on and she followed, soon seeing Alice as a grown woman instead of the child she once knew.
She'd changed so much...
She stayed back a bit, allowing Hope to go first. She somehow knew that the girl wouldn't be able to resist tattling on Grann and wanted to see Alice's reaction to the idea that he'd a woman to his bed within moments of seeing her. Then she waited for Alice to see her, part of her wondering if she'd changed in Alice's eyes, or if she would even remember her after all this time. After all, Alice had only been a child when she'd seen her last.
She'd told the girl that she had to leave, explained it to her, and she'd accepted it as she had everything, with a child's mentality that everything was going to work out just fine in her life.
She shook off the memory and waited for those once-innocent eyes to find her, getting her mind back in the here-and-now where it belonged.

Sebastet couldn't help her smile at the old nickname and hugged her back before finally pulling away to look Alice over, "I've changed?! You're all grown up! What happened to the curls? What happened to the girl who suggested the peanut butter in the jewelery box?" she asked her, looking totally shocked and dismayed that Alice had changed even though she wasn't, knowing full well that that one memory would at least bring a smile to her face.
"And don't bug Hope too much. She caught us in bed, after the excitement was over but before we got dressed," she couldn't resist that one, "I think Grann has plans for a better lock on the door now. But right now, he's off doing something about the walls. A little later, Hope is going with me to get my stuff so I can move into Grann's room and make a mess out of it. After that, I need to know who the most serious person is so that I can teach Hope how to prank them properly. I can't believe you left pranks out of her education. I know I taught you that pranks are an important part of childhood, one that shouldn't be left out. Now I'm going to have to teach you all over again while giving her the lessons you left out," she told her off in a way that was sure to get a laugh out of her.
She didn't like the frown lines around her eyes or the dark circles, the worry that her face seemed to carry, the dark look in her eyes that spoke of too many things gone wrong. But that meant that she was going to have to step up her game to get rid of all of that and return Alice to the beautiful woman she knew was in there, the one who knew how to laugh and have fun...

Sebastet grinned right back at Alice, "Do you really think I can resist poking at him or that council the messenger mentioned before he ran off? Come on Alice... It's just too much to resist..." she was nearly bouncing in place just with the thought of all the trouble she could get into.
She did lean forward to place a light kiss on Alice's forehead, "I am sorry I wasn't around to help you, Bright Eyes... I had a few things to deal with on my own. But I'm here now and I'm determined to keep you smiling. Even if it does get me into trouble with Grann," she finished that with another grin, thinking that getting into trouble with Grann probably wouldn't be a hardship.
Her emerald eyes finally turned to Hope, "I'll take that list, Imp, and you can tell me a little about each one of them while we get my stuff. And plan our first prank while we're at it. the whole key to it is making sure that you don't get caught or leave any evidence of yourself behind. The peanut butter was your mother's idea and she was successful in making sure that no one knew she was the one behind it. Rose had no idea it was her. She blamed it on me for a while until I pointed out that she couldn't prove who it was that did it. But she never ate peanut butter again, hated the smell of it too," she couldn't resist that. She'd been so proud of Alice's prank that day that she'd even taken her out to track down her first pet...

Sebastet grinned at Alice, knowing that she was right about Grann, and just winked at her before turning to Hope, "I call you an Imp cause they're always getting into trouble and causing mischief. But if you don't like it, I'll just have to come up with something else," she told her, letting her know that she could accept Imp from her or Sebastet would find something worse to call her.
Then she turned back to Alice, "As for you, young lady... I ran into someone a while back who would make your romance novels go up in flames. Keep up this pouty down-in-the-dumps attitude and I'll have to call him up to see if he can be to you what I am to your grandfather," she threatened, fully intending to carry out the threat though the teasing look in her eyes might have given the impression that she was only kidding.
"But right now, hope and I have an errand to run. When we get back, why don't you plan one of your dinner thingy's as a picnic so you can introduce me to the important people I'll need to know. But plan it for out here somewhere so that I don't have to sit in one of those stupid uncomfortable chairs Grann likes to keep around that thing he calls a table. I still say it's only good for bowling, though," she added, knowing Alice had inherited her mother's love of planning events, plus it would show everyone that she accepted her grandfather's choice, especially since it still left her in place as his heir...

ⓉheⒽeartbrokenⓌandererⒾnfinityⓁockhart Theme:x『 Location: Grand Garden Company: Figments of his imagination Mood: Lonely 』»»» OoC:««« ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃ ✰ The once lively garden now grew to a dim silence. Voices...echoing across the bushes and hedges in the area. He paid no mind to them and found serenity with the floral greens surrounding him. Infinity was a humble man who made trips to the garden necessary. The time of day didn't matter. The sweet, soothing scent of precious life followed enveloped him in a warm embrace. It was enough to help contain sanity. But behind such beauty is darkness. Darkness that threatens to destroy the wondrous works of nature. The same concept applied to people. They once beheld a beauty known simply, as love. Love lost due to the treacherous ways of the vermin known as the Re. The mention of that hideous alias was taboo to Infinity; oh how he wished such barbarians hadn't existed. The grief and anger began to boil inside once more. It was happening again. The vampire grited his teeth, baring fangs as he held his head down to the ground below. He may not bear no living heart but the agony he endured eternally still fought fiercely to bring him down. But alas, this was his entire reason for coming out to such a quiet area on his own.
✰ However, there never once a slight moment where Infinity never thought of her. Whether it be a coincidence, the white rose always stood out before the man as he brought back up his attentive gaze. They were Her favorite flowers; a concrete reminder that She would never leave his side. Just like that, his frustration was vanquished and a small but hopeful grin followed. It was hard for him to believe that it was only a few years ago since his beloved unexpected passing. Time was irrelevant to Infinity. What was time anyway? A mighty judge that had dominion over living creatures. It knew when beings came and went; its agenda confidential to those who sought answers. A never-ending spiral into a dark abyss, much like the rose itself. Its shade matched that of his tailored, plain suit. Again, another coincidence. He plucked the rose from the vine and lifted it to his eye level. Infinity was a tall and slender gentleman who never spoke much to anyone. Social gatherings were no different. Never the third wheel. Never the beggar for attention. Infinity liked it better this way for he feared getting too close to anyone emotionally. Too much had been sacrificed to get him to the point he was at now. These sacrifices, per say, were never positive. But then again, that's why he came to this garden. Its peaceful setting wielding the poqer to ease a troubled mind. He had sniffed the white rose a few times before holding it down to his side.
✰ "Perhaps just a while longer here, my lady?" Infinity suggested softly. He could jave sworn he'd just seen an image of his lover before him. The mind was devious trickster and Infinity knew well of it. He quickly realized his mistake and continued to wander about the garden; his precious white rose still at bay. Maybe today would be day he is accompanied by someone.

Ash smiled down at her as he escorted her through the garden, his hand over hers on his arm, his long hair still loose and half-covering him. He had to force himself to look away from her so that he could see the garden, "This place is truly beautiful, Alice. You have every reason to be proud of it. Showing it off during this party should be your crowning event," he told her softly, his beautiful tenor voice telling her nothing but the truth.
Soon enough, though, they made it to the center and he looked it over with a slow nod, "I'll get started with laying everything out for you. Just tell me where you want everything," he suggested as he motioned to the area to their left where a few human servants had the things they would need and were waiting to help.
